The establishment in NATRONA Heights was supposed to change our oil. The technician did not put oil in our 2018 Ford Escape that was in exceptional condition. The car's engine was trashed! And the insurance company representing Highland Tire totaled our vehicle . In the end, Highland Tire's insurance gave us "blue book" value for our paid off exceptional condition vehicle. We were not able to find an equal vehicle for what we thought our paid off vehicle was worth. We were also contacted by Highland Tire while driving the rental they provided, that "when you receive the insurance check, you need to return the vehicle immediately. This was 1 day after finding out the car was totaled. Very inconsiderate of their representative. Try and find an equivalent vehicle in a couple of days. We ended up contacting Brad of Highland Tire to see if there would be any further compensation for our exceptional vehicle and inconvenience of ruining our Escape for this negligence. We were told "no" by Brad. This establishment should've stepped up and made this mistake by their technician "whole" for our miserable experience. I wouldn't recommend this oil change business as they did not step up and have any "Integrity" that they claim to have. Highland Tire can take their "Integrity" policy and stick it where the sun doesn't shine as I will never spend another penny at their business. I'll start off by saying that Highland Tire is the only place I will buy tires. Before finding them I was all over the place trying to get a good deal, advice on tires and not having to wait hours to have them installed. Everywhere I went I felt like I was being pushed to get me to spend more money than I needed to. And the "give us about an hour" was the standard answer for everyone. Then I decided to give Highland Tire a shot. I called and got advice on several tires along with prices. They suggested one based on the type of driving I do and the type of vehicle I have. It was not the most expensive tire but one on the lower end. I drove over and was waved to pull up to the garage entrance. They had me pull up to the car in front of me where I got out. The gentlemen said to go ahead in and see the men at the service counter and they will start getting my tires off. I went up, told them what I wanted to get, they put the order together and said they would find me when done. About a half hour later they told me my car was ready. They rang me out and directed me to my car. When I got to car I saw my tires had been shined. Excellent touch. From start to finish this place is customer service driven. A wide selection of tires, helpful advice, quick service, great pricing and very friendly employees. Highland Tire sets a very high bar for the others to meet. One nobody can touch! I would give a zero if I could. My friend got his tires rotated and balanced here about two weeks ago. On his way home tonight his back tire and drum brake FELL OFF after getting off of a highway where he was going 70mph!!! His tire and drum brake fell off as a result of the lug nuts not being properly tightened. He confirmed that this was the case after checking the rest of the lug nuts on all the tires and finding multiple loose lug nuts. Their negligence could have cost my friend his life. Know what I hate? I HATE dealing with car stuff. All of it. I always feel like the guys in car repair places take one look at me and see an easy mark. They hear "cha-ching" in their heads as they chuckle to themselves while they wink knowingly at me and murmer "don't you worry, sweetheart" and pat me on the shoulder. The thing is, I'm not entirely incognizant about cars, and I am usually aware when I'm being ripped off, patronized or taken advantage of. I also hate when you tell a business what your budget is, and they immediately assume that is your STARTING price, and have no problem completely ignoring the amount you said you wanted to spend. BUT - that *never* happens at Highland Tire. NEVER. This is possibly THE most woman-friendly car-related place I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. They thoroughly answer all your questions and explain their suggestions. I have been buying tires here for several years now, and I *happily* drive to Tarentum (we live in the North Hills) every time. It's not always easy getting everything you need on a budget, and in the current economy, everybody's either looking for a way to save money or looking for ways to separate you from yours. Highland Tire will try to help if you have budget constraints, and if they don't have anything that will work within your budget, they will explain the options they do have. If they think what you want to do is not a good idea (like, for example, saving money by keeping tires that really aren't safe) they will tell you... they'll SHOW you why they think it's a bad idea and give you all the options. They don't immediately try to sell you the fanciest, most expensive product by scaring you with horror stories of what could happen if you don't take their advice- they are honest and fast, and I have found their prices to be consistently lower than almost any other place I've dealt with. Truthfully, price is only a part of the reason I trust them. You can buy "cheap" anywhere, but I feel they are honest, and that is worth the drive AND the rare occasion when their price isn't the lowest. I NEVER feel taken advantage of, condescended-to or uncomfortable in any way. There's a small waiting room with (mostly guy-friendly) magazines and a tv and some vending machines. I've rarely been there long enough to finish a can of soda, though. (did I mention they're fast?) AND they give you a flower when you check out. :-) Love that. One day, when the economy turns around and my business is crazy successful, I am coming over here and buying the best tires I can find from these guys. I'm getting SIX of them, so I have two extras, JUST because I like dealing with them so much. They've been so helpful over the years, and have saved me SO much money- I can't wait till I can afford to come here and say "go nuts! Put the spinner rims on too while you're at it." I wish Highland Tire did more than just tires. :-) I HIGHLY recommend them!! read more

Best tire store barr none! Got best price, $40 less per tire than online not including the extra $40 delivery charge and they include mounting. Balance is extra but only $6.99. Called them Wednesday at 4 pm and had my trailer tires by the next morning. Pulled my boat out to them and they remove the four lock nuts I had lost the key for, replaced and balanced the two tires, and replaced the spare all in about 20 minutes! Will go back for all my tire needs for all my vehicles! Highly recommend them!!! read more

Highland tire does good work, their prices are great and they're fast and friendly. However, beware if you have valve stem covers on your wheels that you would like to keep, either factory or non, I would just recommend you make sure you still have them when you leave. Overall Highland tire is a great experience, and if something doesn't go as planned they will work to make it right. read more

Unbelievable customer service! I drive 90% of the week for work and my car is always a priority. While I was visiting from Philadelphia my tire pressure gauge light popped on and my father recommended I take to Highland Tire. They were helpful, quick and considerate. It seems like I am always getting something done to my car because of how much I drive. So I've spent my fair share in services centers. They went above and beyond to ensure my tires were safe. Harry, who was took care of me, even mentioned "I wanted to make sure your tires were safe because of your long drive back to Philadelphia." I even left with a beautiful carnation! I assumed Highland Tire in Tarentum was affiliated with the location in Natrona Heights?...Oddly, the service is worlds apart! I have never had a bad interaction at the Tarentum location but the Natrona Heights venue tried to scam me. I recently went in to have a flat repaired at the Natrona Heights location and was told the damage was "too large to repair" and was advised to purchase a new tire. Leary, I sought a second opinion and sure enough the Tarentum location was able to repair the flat with no qualms and the tire has been doing fine for over 3 months. Just because I am a female I do not appreciate the attempted upsell! And what is with the stupid carnations they insist upon giving out to women? Seems to be just another way to instill false confidence so unassuming women will reluctantly believe these guys are honest. If you have to utilize the services of Highland Tire, I strongly suggest patronizing the Tarentum location and avoiding the scoundrels in Natrona Heights. read more
