this was already not the greatest chinese in the first place but has recently been taken over by new owners and they have somehow managed to make it even worse. the prices have sky-rocketed and the food and service is simply appalling.
the spring rolls used to be home-made beansprouts and mixed meat etc and now are bought in cheap and nasty rubbish ,. the onion rings used to be home made big and lovely and crispy ones and are now basically the cheapest of the cheap really budget supermarket powdered onion/batter garbage and have incredibly gone up in price by £1.50 , the beef looks like it has been kicked to death before cooking , the chicken balls used to be fresh diced chicken and is now that horrible preformed processed chicken strips just dipped in batter , the curry sauce is also pretty poor quality , rice is awful , noodles are tasteless , there is just no effort put into the cooking and even less put into the presentation , they are buying the cheapest quality products and charging a fortune for very poor service , this place is now truly an embarrassment to fort william and its many loyal customers and visiting tourists . please do not give this place any of your money , maybe that will force them into providing a service that the fort deserves. and if you are a tourist then please go elsewhere , there are many excellent places , the indian just next door is awesome and there are loads of other lovely places to eat , i actually feel sorry for the staff , some of whom have been there many years , they also deserve better than this shambolic excuse for a restaraunt. i have eaten in probably hundreds of different chinese places all over britain and it is such a sad fact that this one is by far the worst one i have ever seen and such a waste of a lovely location...and i also think its cash only now too so that makes it even more of an inconvenience for travellers , the decor is also very depressingly poor and the toilets are absolutely disgusting too , i shudder to think what the kitchen is like....
