I recently took my own car to Gerber's Collision, in Farmington Hills, and they were rather expensive, so for my husband's car, we drove the 25 minutes or so here instead. His car mirror also needed some work and Campbell's was able to give him a quote for that, too, so he had that done also. He was surprised by how fair the quotes were for both that and the paint work. I was able to get the initial quote via email from Campbell's, and they were easily reachable via phone or email, too. The work on his car took about a week and he's very happy with it. Something to note, their parking lot is under construction right now and is mostly just gravel - not a big deal but the entrance to the lot was moved slightly, I believe. Overall, highly recommend this company for your car needs.

I was directed to Gerber Glass & Collision by UPS's insurance after a UPS driver backed into my…read moretruck. I was originally advised the repair would take 1-3 days. I dropped my truck off on December 30, 2025, but did not receive it back until January 6, 2026. On January 2, 2026, I received an email stating my completion date had been pushed to January 6. On January 6, I had to call the shop myself to check on the status. I was told they were just about to call me and that my truck was being detailed. When I arrived, my truck was still inside the building, and I was asked if I was comfortable pulling it out myself, which I did. As I pulled out, I noticed a printer box in my back seat that was not there when I dropped my truck off. The box contained some of my personal belongings. Once I got home and went through it, I realized items that had been in my center console and throughout the truck were missing. I immediately called the shop. I did not accuse anyone of stealing. The gentleman I spoke with said they would have a meeting the next morning and that the general manager would call me. I did not receive a call in the morning, so I called in the afternoon. The general manager told me his employees would never steal anything and suggested that some kids must have broken into my truck. I was told to call him back with a dollar amount and he would pay me cash. When I called back a couple of days later with a reasonable amount based on the actual value of my missing belongings, I was told I just made that number up. I stated that I wanted to be compensated for the full amount of my missing belongings, at which point he said he would take the matter to corporate and get back to me. I did not receive a follow-up. After multiple calls over the next couple of weeks, I was eventually told that corporate would not be paying anything and that a voicemail had been left for me, which I never received. I have since filed a police report and will be following up on the matter. I won't comment much on the actual repair--it was just a bumper and appears to be installed correctly. However, I still don't understand why a job quoted as 1-3 days took over a week. I was fortunate to have a rental through insurance; had I been paying out of pocket, this experience would have been far worse. Based on the delays, lack of communication, and how the situation with my missing belongings was handled, I would not recommend this shop.
