Ferndale Collision does me a SOLID, yet again!! I cannot say enough great things about the service and professionalism of these down-to-earth, talented and chill mechanics. The office staff rocks too (that's you, Brenda & Mike!). I had my brakes replaced on my Jeep Wrangler 2012 here last April and today got a flat tire on the highway (in the pouring rain, during morning rush hour...yuck). I could get all of the lug nuts off, except ONE because the stupid Chrome Cap had popped off of it and my lugwrench was too loose on it because of that. A good symaritan Lyft driver stopped to help and we couldn't get if off with his equipment or socket wrench either. So, the flat bed tow truck from SHATILA (also reviewed!) dropped me and my Jeep (& dog) off at FC where Mike, a mechanic but now more of the office-guy, promptly diagnosed my situation, got the right tool and popped off the crap tire and popped on my spare. He ALSO changed out my lugs with better ones (no chrome cap) from their 'bucket of bolts' and helped load my bad tire into my Jeep for me. Here's the best part, Mike also heard my brakes squeal a bit as it came off of the tow truck and said "let's just take a second to peak at those brakes we put on for you last year to see if I can't clean 'em up a bit real quick." 10 mins later, he had taken off the brakes on the tire that was squeaking (the same one that had been flat), buffed them up, confirmed there were still 80% in-tact and then lubed them up and put them back on. All of this IN HIS Button-down business shirt! And that's not the kicker, he actually gave me a firm hand-shake, asked me to drive around a few days and if the squeaking is still happening, to schedule a free brake-tune up with them (since they installed my brakes last year). While backing out, my rear bumper got ripped out. I did some research and came across Ferndale Collision. Brenda at the front desk and Jon (Jarbo) are one of the nicest honest people I have come across. Jon provided a quick estimate and ordered OEM parts which arrived surprisingly quickly especially in this market where there is a huge supply chain issue. He identified that one of the sensors were broken. He painted the part beforehand so that I didn't have to keep my car longer in the shop. Prices were reasonable. But the job was immaculate. As a bonus, he detailed the car completely. Felt like I had gotten a new car. Great job ! Great people ! but most importantly honest and take pride in their work. I had my 2000 Toyota Avalon towed here with a starter problem. They were busy but said that they could take a look at it in the afternoon. Around noon I got a call and was told that the starter was shot and would need to be replaced. They gave me a reasonable price and said that it could be done early the following day. In the morning I received a second call and said that I could pick it up but indicated that the oil needed changing. If I wanted it done it would be another hour. The price was the same as my local quick change place. I said to go ahead and went to pick it up an hour later. They showed me the starter (the starters mount was broken off and wasn't connecting to the crankshaft). I originally had hesitated to take my car here because their specialty is collision repairs but the online ad said that they also did mechanical work. It was only a couple blocks from my home so I tried them. It is sadly rare that auto repair places do great work, on time, at a reasonable price. But Ferndale Collision did just that. RUN AND FAST!! I would give no stars if I could. Worked on my car, had it almost 3 months and they gouged the insurance company. Complained the parts were expensive since many had to be purchased from the dealer. After supposedly new parts were put in, a huge leak was found and they would NOT stand behind their work. I had to pay out of pocket after an over $20,000.00 claim! Two other friends had very bad experiences here as well. read more

Do not shy away from taking your vehicle here for mechanical repairs. I know it is a collision shop but it is much more than that. I bought a used car and came to find out that both the oil and transmission pan were rusted out and leaking fluids. Brenda in the office and James in the repair bay treated me like family and got me in the same day and the job completed by the next. We had to Use all OEM dealer parts for my 2007 Infiniti g35, which I don't mind, but Brenda did call 3 different sources to find me the most cost efficient aftermarket parts before we had to go that route. The car is now running beautifully and leak free. Could not recommend them more. read more

What friendly and quick service! I got a flat tire and incidentally parked here overnight thereby running the risk of having my car towed. Not only did they not tow my car, but when I arrived to collect my vehicle the next morning (after two different roadside assistance companies left me hanging! I wasn't happy but I digress...) they switched out my spare tire for me on the spot at no charge. They also wrapped the flat tire in plastic and put down cardboard in my trunk so my car wouldn't get dirty. Even though it was a fluke that this just happened to be where I had to park my undriveable car, I'm glad I did. These guys made a rough morning so much more pleasant and got me back on the road in a matter of minutes. I highly recommend for great service and friendly staff! read more

Can't tell you how wonderful Brenda in the whole staff is there. I had a flat tire and Allstate came out to fix it the guy that came out put the donut on. The next morning when I went out to take it in to have the tire fixed the donut was almost flat. I really couldn't drive far and my daughter lives a block from there and I happen to go by Ferndale collision and told them the situation. They took the car in right away they had it fixed they they came and got it brought it back to me they are just terrific. Ferndale Collision is the worst!, explained that I was paying for the repairs. Received an initial estimate of cost and time for completion; with explanation that there may be additional cost once car was looked over. An additional $1,300. about original estimate was asked for and paid. 1st they kept my car a month longer than promised. They burned my passenger side back sit and the repairs were amateurish at best. My car battery had no problems until they had it - while my car was in their custody my battery die and I had to purchase a new one. After making payment the manager was never available to talk. They didn't mention that my rear mudflaps were not replaced and wanted to charge me again to replace them(not apart estimate). They failed to reattach my rear passenger safety belt to the car and there is a noise in the car on the passenger side when I turn. The manager was always late arriving to work and crew spend the first part of the mornings working on their own cars. Please do not do business with these people. read more
