A great part of this is that when they did an insurance estimate for me and then actually did it right as price matched up! There were no hidden items needed to be fixed and that surprise my insurance company. They even save me a couple of dollars on some other things that needed to be done. The best part of this is they ordered all the parts I had of time and painted them ahead of time so I just had to shop with my car and have them off in the new parts rather than having me leave it there for a few days. One tiny glitch is that the headlight they ordered did not fit and I had to return to get the headlight replaced the second time but that is supposed to be quick work. Worth it. I was directed to Gerber Glass & Collision by UPS's insurance after a UPS driver backed into my…read moretruck. I was originally advised the repair would take 1-3 days. I dropped my truck off on December 30, 2025, but did not receive it back until January 6, 2026. On January 2, 2026, I received an email stating my completion date had been pushed to January 6. On January 6, I had to call the shop myself to check on the status. I was told they were just about to call me and that my truck was being detailed. When I arrived, my truck was still inside the building, and I was asked if I was comfortable pulling it out myself, which I did. As I pulled out, I noticed a printer box in my back seat that was not there when I dropped my truck off. The box contained some of my personal belongings. Once I got home and went through it, I realized items that had been in my center console and throughout the truck were missing. I immediately called the shop. I did not accuse anyone of stealing. The gentleman I spoke with said they would have a meeting the next morning and that the general manager would call me. I did not receive a call in the morning, so I called in the afternoon. The general manager told me his employees would never steal anything and suggested that some kids must have broken into my truck. I was told to call him back with a dollar amount and he would pay me cash. When I called back a couple of days later with a reasonable amount based on the actual value of my missing belongings, I was told I just made that number up. I stated that I wanted to be compensated for the full amount of my missing belongings, at which point he said he would take the matter to corporate and get back to me. I did not receive a follow-up. After multiple calls over the next couple of weeks, I was eventually told that corporate would not be paying anything and that a voicemail had been left for me, which I never received. I have since filed a police report and will be following up on the matter. I won't comment much on the actual repair--it was just a bumper and appears to be installed correctly. However, I still don't understand why a job quoted as 1-3 days took over a week. I was fortunate to have a rental through insurance; had I been paying out of pocket, this experience would have been far worse. Based on the delays, lack of communication, and how the situation with my missing belongings was handled, I would not recommend this shop.

Had some auto damage covered by insurance...checked Yelp...went here...and glad I did...It went perfect EVEN THOUGH like any insurance claim there were problems, the shop handled them all with ease....The Big One: the rental I had while it was my car was in the shop also got damaged......someone left a nice long scrape AND 2 small dents in the passenger side of my rental!!!...My first thought was not suitable to print...the second was "well there goes ANOTHER $500 deductible to fix the rental" ....but when I told American Collision Experts about it, they had a took care of it, no extra charge and by the time they were done BOTH cars looked good as new and all was done on time
