The absolute best moving experience I've ever had! I was in a super jam the day before moving day and nearly in tears stressed out. I also just had massive ankle surgery and could not do anything to help. Everyone who had promised to help went crickets. So I called Higher Ground Moving at the last minute. Nate Becker didn't bat an eyelash and said he could be there 8-11 AM. So I moved the truck pickup up a couple hours. Nate was right on time and got cracking. Him and one other guy had the truck loaded like Tetris masters with all my valuables, furniture, and boxes tended to like their very own. He made me feel so much better with a super smile and happy go lucky attitude. I had zero moving casualties on the other end. And to give you an idea, I had a 26 foot truck packed to the gills top to bottom front to back. A 7.5 hour drive on less than smooth roads, extremely bumpy at times, absolutely nothing shifted. I had the opportunity to meet Nate many years ago when his business was a starting out. Nate, has always had a strong work ethic, if he gave you an estimate and said when he and/or his team would be there, it was exactly as he laid out. Since then, he has grown his company into what it is today, and I've had the opportunity to utilize Higher Ground Moving's services three times this year alone! Ruby has the integral job of scheduling and estimating all of the crews, not an easy task! Tyler, one of the movers, was with Kai on a move of an entire bedroom set that I purchased on CL, they had to carry it down three stories, 18 stairs without a nick! They then got to my house and set it all with their set of tools and had it ready that day for one on my new tenants to move in! Tyler has also been on the last two moves, the latest with Anthony. Higher Ground saved the day! We hired another company who confirmed the move by email and by phone and hour before despite tens of calls they did not show up and wouldn't answer the phone. We had driven 7 hours to come pick up this piano and spent the night in a hotel. It would be a huge disappointment to be driving back without the piano. We called 20 different other places and spent 4 hours looking for a company that could help us move the piano today. They all said they couldn't do it. We were about to give up when we found Higher Ground. Nate bent over backwards to call a couple guys on there day off. Within the hour Roberto and Debow showed up. It took half an hour to load and secureup our 400lb piano into the trunk. Without them we would be driving back to Washington with an empty trunk. I would 100% use them again if we are in the area! I had the pleasure to work with HGM team over two different requests and they were simply AMAZING. Rachel packed up 15 paintings with high care, regard and interest into the artwork and we bonded immediately. This was our 3rd experience with Higher Ground, and as with the first two, this was once again exceptional. There really is a reason why the ratings for this company are so high. We needed 4 U-Haul U-Boxes loaded. This was a task that would have taken us over a week. The team of Nate, Josiah and River finished it in 4 hours. All three of them were fast, efficient and personable. The leader of the team, Nate, is the most professional and effective leader I have ever witnessed. I was so impressed with how friendly and hard working this crew of 4 were! Anthony, River, Phil and Bryson knocked out my move in record time. They were incredibly friendly with positive attitudes. I had a couple of family heirloom pieces that I was nervous about moving and they listened to my concerns and made sure to take extra care with those items. They made sure everything was where I wanted it before they left and they didn't leave any mess or scratches anywhere. The owner, Nate, even came by to make sure things were going well. I could not have dreamed of a better moving experience than what I had with Ruby, Tyler, & Mike. Ruby was polite, communicative, and detailed when it came to learning about services and scheduling. Our move to Redmond started off as a nightmare but Higher Ground really saved the move. The company I had scheduled to meet us at our storage facility cancelled due to the fire smoke while we were in route with the UHaul. OMG, that elliptical trainer was so incredibly HEAVY!! But Higher Ground's movers handled it with ease! They are great at working together with good communication skills. They helped us move an entire household across town, and each house had 2 stories, challenging staircases, and lots of heavy furniture and boxes. From my call with Ruby to inquire about services, to the "muscle" provided by Phil and Brandon, my job was super smooth. Everyone was professional, efficient, and "used their noggin" as my dad used to say. In my case, among other things, there was a sauna that needed disassembling, moving to a new location, and reassembling. They showed up on time, actually a little early, ask the right questions on what was to be moved to and placed inside to the two different locations.
