They wrapped everything that could possibly be damaged and took extra pains with the boxes with my dishware and breakables. When I unpacked, there was NO DAMAGE to anything. This is the first time (in over 15 moves) that I can say that. Although my move was just across the state (and they generally do much bigger moves than mine), they fit me into their schedule on less than two weeks notice which saved me. They charged a very fair price for their services and the final amount and the estimate given were virtually identical. The move occurred in a howling snow storm and the destination required some gnarly driving conditions, but Jason and his team actually showed up a little early on pickup and delivery. If you are in central Oregon and want to support a local business that takes real pride in service, call Jason. He may take a little while to get back to you because he is on a job but you won't wait long and you will be in the very best of hands.

Hood, and then we connected with the best, most professional and courteous, meticulous Bend Brothers Moving to help us unload. Cody and Jesse were awesome. I would literally hire these two guys on every future move of my life. There is a reason this company is voted "Best in Bend." They carefully laid out protective barriers on the floors, doors and walls. He faithfully restored my father's 1961 Gretsch Tennessean to daily player status. He's done numerous setups for me on all my quality guitars, and they're always spot-on! I make the trek all the way up from Los Angeles to SLO because he does the best work I've seen. -So when my grandmother asked me if I knew anyone who could repair the guitar she bought as a 25th wedding anniversary gift for my now-departed grandfather, I was excited to see how Butch could turn the family heirloom around and restore it to its original smooth playable glory. -The vintage 1966 Martin D18 needed quite a bit of work (neck reset, re-fret, bridge repair, pickguard/finish repair). It was used (and abused) for years in my grandparents' bluegrass band. Thankfully Grandma was the original purchaser, and Butch was happy to put in the leg-work to make sure her guitar was covered under its 43-year-old original factory warranty (even though the factory's reimbursement rates aren't quite comparable to what he could have made on the project if he'd charged out-of-pocket). What a guy! -I picked the guitar up on Tuesday after a couple weeks' turnaround time, and it's an understatement to say my confidence in Butch has been reaffirmed! The Martin plays like a new guitar, only with the same full vintage tone and priceless history. -Butch has already followed up via email to make sure we're fully satisfied. He actually cares! The only way the family could be more pleased would be if Grandpa was still here to pick a little "Turkey in the Straw" on it himself. -He's also got a fine selection of consignment guitars hanging in his shop at perfectly reasonable prices as well. And if Butch is vouching for them, you know they're quality instruments. -Do yourselves a favor: Trust Butch.

It is immaculate, modern, and well maintained, it has an excellent location and great parking, and on the day I was there it was cared for by a wonderful attendant (a blonde woman whose name I did not learn) who was constantly cleaning and providing help to everyone who needed it. I assume it is not the cheapest laundromat in Bend, but every penny has clearly been reinvested in the the machines, the facility, and the service. And the money is going to good people, because the attendant told me that the owners are the nicest people she has ever worked for. Laundromats aren't normally the most enjoyable places, but I will actually look forward to the next occasion when I need to use the services of Washable Laundry!

I didn't see any machines with any "out of order" signs. It's been years since I've had to go to one so I wasn't sure what to expect as far as prices go. I don't know if it's reasonably priced for the area or not but I just needed to wash a king size comforter and it cost me just under $11 to wash (I paid a little extra for an additional rinse cycle) and $3 to dry for one hour. The parking lot is really small and street parking is a hot commodity, with the food truck and tap room spot across the street, but I found a spot in the Washable parking lot right when I pulled in on a Saturday afternoon! (I tend to have really good parking karma). Speaking of the food truck spot across the street, THAT was a cool benefit of this laundry-mat; food and drinks while you wait?? Yes, please!
