They were friendly, professional, fast, and explained everything to me that they were doing and…read morewere going to do. And there was no surprise costs! I trust this company!

While the technicians themselves were friendly, my overall experience with Summit was disappointing…read more-- particularly given that they had been highly recommended by a neighbor. After the fourth visit and two failed inspections, I asked to speak with the owner. He said he'd show up on the final day and didn't. Not showing up after committing to do so speaks volumes. On multiple occasions, employees attempted to -- or did -- walk through my home beyond where work was being completed with their shoes on. This is a basic courtesy that should not have needed to be addressed. On the final day, an employee complained about the time spent waiting for the inspector to arrive. After five+ weeks of doing exactly that myself, I couldn't help but laugh internally. Most importantly, Summit advertises a "100% Right or 100% Free" guarantee on their website. These are not complicated words -- 100% means 100%, and free means free. There is no secondary meaning to either. When I raised this, I was told it essentially means they will keep trying until the job is done correctly -- which is admirable in theory, but falls well short of what "100% Free" implies when a customer has invested THOUSANDS of dollars. After reading the other reviews, I'm hoping the problem with my AC wasn't just a leak somewhere that could have been fixed for much less. I would strongly encourage potential customers to clarify what that guarantee truly means before signing a contract, and to get everything in writing.

Overall, I am pleased with the company. They were doing a fireplace install at my house and I…read morethrew them a curveball at the last minute. Corey rolled with it and went beyond his responsibilities to solve the issue. They were able to fit me in almost immediately and the price point is competitive. That said, I am docking them one star. When tweaking some of the gas line in the basement ceiling, rather than use a ladder, they stepped on my furniture and damaged it. I recall hearing a large bang and suspect a wrench was dropped causing the issue. I understand that things happen but I would minimally expect to be notified that this happened.

WARNING- I hired this company to replace a hot surface…read moreignitor in my furnace. Previously, I've done this repair myself and it's a relatively quick and easy repair if you know how to watch YouTube. Unfortunately, we had a family issue which prevented me from handling it this time so we hired the first people who answered. One technician came and diagnosed the problem with a quote $851. I agreed. The next day, a different technician completed the job quickly and if you've ever done this job, it's plug and play and the most time consuming thing is unscrewing the panels. Total labor time across both visits was only about 40 minutes. Drive time, let's give them 2 hours. Unfortunately, the invoice showed just a single $851 charge with no breakdown. I assumed there was something a little more technical than an ignitor. When I questioned the bill, I was told the ignitor part alone was $200 or more. What does or more mean? Let's say a total of 2 hours of labor was involved and a $250 part. That's $300 per hour in labor! While I understand businesses have overhead and travel costs, this price felt surprisingly high for such a short repair and no transparency. Lesson learned
