Damage tread as purchased from High Tread Tires.

I returned a set of winter tires two days after purchase due to tread damage that I found when inspecting in daylight at my home. I did not have these tires installed on wheels. I was expecting a favorable return experience with a full refund but High Tread Tires was adamant about charging me a 15% restocking fee that was not advertised anywhere in the office where I paid for my purchase, this was not verbally communicated to me nor was this "policy" identified on the receipt/invoice that I received. I will never do business with this company again and caution others to be extremely careful as well.

Midas is $69.99, which is pricey, BUT you can print a coupon for a $39.99 oil change on their website, so I took advantage of the offer and dropped by yesterday. You can make an appointment on their website, which I appreciated. I made an appointment for an oil change and when I arrived I mentioned I needed my wiper blades changed. The wiper blades were $40 to get changed which I believe is rather high, I want to say I paid like $20 last time but that was a few years ago. Since I was already there though, it made sense to bundle the services. They quoted me 45 minutes but they finished everything in 25 minutes! They have a very tiny waiting room, it's basically just their regular area, but they do have a few chairs and tables and also free Wi-Fi. I was debating walking over to the Tim Hortons across the street to wait but then my car was finished. My boyfriend has gone to this Midas before and he said I probably had priorities since I was still there waiting. You get a free tire rotation with an oil change as well. The only reason I give this Midas four stars and not five is because the waiting room area is so small, and rather loud - The staff is answering the phones and also you can hear them working on the cars right next door in the shop. Also, my check tire light came on yesterday when driving home, but my sensor tends to be wonky with that; I would hope that they checked the air tire pressure when they rotated them but I'm not sure if they did or not. Otherwise, I was very impressed with how quickly they did all the services on my car, so I will be back for future car needs.

I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee here Thursday afternoon to have the wheels balanced and rotated, and I asked them to check the alignment. I had to leave the vehicle with them overnight because I was told they needed more time to correct the alignment. On Friday afternoon, they called me and said your vehicle is all set. I picked it up, and by the time I got it back to my house, I could hear something clunking around in the front end, and my steering wheel was not straight at all. I jacked up the front end to investigate and realized the lower control arm was loose. I called them and they said we are very sorry please bring it back. I had to leave the vehicle overnight again. Saturday afternoon, they called and said we have tried to fix the alignment literally twelve times and had three different techs look at it, and we can't figure out how to fix it. They suggested taking it to a collision shop to make sure the frame wasn't bent, which didn't make any sense to me. As I drove home this time, the steering wheel was not straight at all, and a light came on saying to service the electronic stability control. See attached pics. Monday morning, I dropped my vehicle off at a different shop and explained what had happened. They found that the lower control arms on both sides had been moved to the outer most position, and we're not properly torqued. They corrected this and aligned everything properly. The frame was not bent, and luckily, no parts were damaged. The vehicle now drives straight down the road again with no issues. It cost me $224 to fix what Alltire screwed up. Save yourself the headache and take your car to someone that knows what they are doing!!
