Jungle Juice

Drinks were good overall and came out pretty as well. The food was not the best and probably wouldn't come back to eat at all but the atmosphere was nice, they had lots of outdoor seating and covering from sun or rain. Service was friendly and good as well.

Fruit Skewers

Loved the ambience. Rented a cabana and had Thomas as our server. He was very helpful over there. The food was very good. We ordered the nachos riviera, French drummettes, fruit skewers as appetizers. The fruit was sweet! Then we added a couple of Mata Hari's, smash burger and the Lobster roll. Everything tasted pretty good. I didn't particularly like the nachos. The green sauce taste was not what I expected but everyone else liked them. I "checked in" and got a free mojito!!! This was a great experience overall besides the humidity. There was a beach access from the back of the hotel just a short walk. With a room here as well there is free bike rental for 2 hours.

Kimpton Surfcombers outside restaurant and bar has a complete dining area of tables, and a bar but also caters to you poolside as well as on the beach. While the bar and grill is formally located in back of the pool they do also have a small stand in front of the pool where you can get drinks. Arriving at my chair it was already outfitted with a towel and menu. Lounging by the poor (or more accurately, roasting like a chicken in an oven by the pool) an ice cold beverage was desperatley needed. Servers came around often to fulfill request. I never went to the beach in the daytime so I can not say what service was like on that end. My friend got a frozen Margharita and I got something I can't remember the name of but it was made with Coco Lopez and that's always a winner for me. Not a Pina Colada either but damn it was muy delicioso! But again, and this is the theme in this town. Two drinks set us back 50.00.

Girls day!

Came to have a girls day of resting & relaxing! The music, service, & food were on point! Servers were very attentive and the gentlemen who greeted us and gave us our towels and took us to our cabana were very informative & extremely nice! Can't wait to come back for another girls day and with family!!! Overall amazing day to spent as a tourist in our own city!

High Tide is the outside bar & grill at the Kimpton Surfcomber hotel. It's located behind the pool and is accessible by the walkway to the beach. High Tide has a full bar and tables to dine. You don't have to be a hotel guest to visit High Tide. They have servers that take care of the hotel guests by the pool. During our stay at the Kimpton, we dined outside by the bar as well as ordered from the servers as we did nothing by the pool all day. The High Tide staff did well through it all. I ordered their Cheeseburger for a late breakfast one day. It was tasty, fresh and they were generous with the cheese. Salads ordered as well and the veggies were all crisp. All was well. We ordered their Vodka berry cocktail. ( I forgot the name) Our server suggested just making it a pitcher for better value and he was absolutely correct! Game recognized game as he knew we were drinking by the pool all day. He checked on us frequently and kept our waters and napkins fresh throughout the day. High Tide is another great reason we'd consider staying at the Kimpton Surfcomber again. They have a solid kitchen and the staff was friendly, professional and on point. Cheers!

Ceviche was very refreshing! Very delicious! My frozen lemonade with mint and the frozen strawberry lemonade were super refreshing! These gentlemen in this picture were very attentive and nice, very hard workers!

Delicious lunch spot after refreshing ocean swim! I got the Ahi poke bowl which was full of tuna, sesame rice, edamame, avocado, seaweed, and green veggies that I'm unfamiliar with. Needless to say it was superfilling. I only ate half but my cohort tucked in the rest. He got Grilled Mahi sandwich with yuca fries.... um yeah I was superjelly after having a couple of bites of his meal... but my physique needs pared down... so I gotta be mindful (sob) Get the Frose' it's superdelish!!!!!

Service can be a little slow on the weekends depending on the amount of people on the beach. The Beach servers are amazing and hustle to get you beverages and food as quickly as they can. You can't beat an ocean side margarita!

My husband and I stayed at the Surfcomber for an extended weekend, and I'm pretty sure we hit High Tide every day of our stay.

You know how some restaurants blast music so loud you end up yelling at the table? Not here. The music was at the perfect level where we could actually talk and enjoy each other. Any time I needed something, someone was right there to help. No chasing servers down, no attitude, just genuinely great service. Now the food. 20 out of 10. Honestly, everything was delicious. Not a single miss. The drinks though? 100 out of 10. Dangerous in the best way. Our waitress, I wish I remembered her name, was incredible. Every recommendation she made was spot on, and we loved everything she suggested. I would absolutely recommend this place, but part of me wants to keep it a secret because the vibe is just that good. If you're looking for amazing food, great drinks, and an overall great experience, this is it.

When we arrived we were greeted and promptly seated inside at the back wall in a booth. There was another couple to our left and one or two others across the room at other tables. The couple in the corner who was seat next to us proceeded to talk extremely loud and had several FaceTime calls with their children as if they were in a private location and not a restaurant. Our entire meal consisted of listening to them in the phone and talking so loud to each other and their server we could hear every word! This rude and annoying behavior overshadowed the meal and left us very frustrated and annoyed. If you are going to require certain attire (although several guest came in while we were there who had on shorts and flip flops) and charge very high prices, you should have a cell phone policy in place and redirect guest to step outside or leave if they feel the need to FT their family for 20-30 min. We spent well over $200 on a meal for two and it was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. The enjoyed the food we ordered except for the French onion soup which I sent back. The Burrata Caprese was fresh but could have used a few more tomatoes and my husband really enjoyed his steak. I chose not to order anything once my soup was returned because we wanted to leave as soon as possible. Over all the service was good and most of the food was too. Unfortunately, there are those who'd have no regard for their environment and those around them which makes others experience negative! The manager and severs were aware of what they were doing too as they walked by a few times and looked at them. But failed to intervene and for that they get two stars.

We asked to sit downstairs where the DJ starts around 11PM. The energy was great with incredibly comfortable and spacious seating. There was a 2 hour limit at the table, but we moved to the bar after our meal. Loved the caviar potato as an appetizer, and the beef tenderloin literally melted in my mouth. The downstairs scene gets pretty loud just an FYI. Service was top notch. Seems pretty trendy and mainstream, but definitely worth it.

Mila is undeniably gorgeous and absolutely the place to be seen for dinner -- but as a brunch…read moredestination, it left me longing for the Setai. Let's start with the good, because credit where it's due: the food is genuinely excellent, particularly the fish and seafood, which were the clear stars of the spread. And our server, while I'll get to a quibble shortly, was fun, warm, and thoroughly professional. Now the rest. Brunch should feel like a leisurely indulgence, not a contact sport. The meat station had a queue of 20+ people at peak -- I came for great food, not a deli ticket. The space is crowded and genuinely hard to navigate. Champagne required actively hunting down a server, whereas the Setai simply leaves a bottle at your table and lets you breathe. Coffee is $7 a cup -- at a brunch of this price point, charging for coffee feels a little cheeky. Then there was the pacing. Well before our two hours were up, our (otherwise lovely) server began the gentle wrap-up and produced the bill -- which is a curious energy for a "linger and enjoy" brunch. And we were charged an extra 2% as a "large party" of seven... at a buffet. Where we served ourselves. I'm still working out the math on that one. If you want a beautiful setting, live music, better drinks, attentive service, and zero queues, the Setai brunch wins -- every single time. Mila, save it for the nightlife.
