We contacted a different company first, and they sent someone out....$90 just to have him come......and once he got here, he was very arrogant, and once we told him that the refrigerator was 21 years old, he said "Well there's your problem....your compressor is shot. You might as well buy a new refrigerator, We don't do compressor work" and he left! That's when we contacted 5 Star, and Vitaliy came. Within 5 minutes he said "Your fan isn't working. I'll be right back." He came in a couple minutes later, and within 20 minutes, did the repair and it has been working well ever since. The second time we needed a repairman, we called 5 Star again, but they sent a very young man who was just beginning apparently, because he couldn't figure out how to do the repair. The dishwasher was 20 years old, so we just ended up buying a new one, which was fine. This time, our outside refrigerator needed a repair, so we called 5 Star again and specifically asked for Vitaliy. He came within a day or so, found the problem within 10 minutes and had it repaired 20 minutes later! He is awesome!

I called around some other appliance places to try to get somebody out right away to try to salvage the rest of my food, but nobody could come out the same day. Five star appliance, on the other hand, after saying that I was very concerned over my food, managed to find a way to fit me in for the day. The technician who arrived on time was very kind and very thorough and diagnosed me with a broken compressor. We talked about some options and he let me know what the warranty would look like and other details and helped me make a decision on how to proceed. I did choose to go with buying a new refrigerator and I think that was a good decision and 5 star helped me make it. I will definitely call them in the future for other appliance repair needs. Their pricing was fair. They were prompt and they were courteous.

    It is getting harder to find competent, yet prompt service providers. It seems no one wants to…read morework, nor or has ETHICS anymore. As a professional mechanic I have always maintained my own appliances, yet as of late I can no longer do so due to injury. I became very frustrated in not finding a company who would provide service quickly, and send people who actually know what they are doing, let alone clean up properly after themselves. First encounter: My 84yr old father found this company on his phone, on what site I do not know, after I had sent the last man packing for being a crook, to say the least, enough said. My father told me this new fella would be out to fix our fridge's ice maker at 8 O'clock. I said "Dad that's a bit early", "No, 8pm tonight he said". Dad had just spoken to him and it was 5pm. Well, the prompt service box got checked anyway. When he arrived he was clean well groomed, in uniform, shook my hand with a proper man's grip and looked me straight in the eye, Manners, checked. I had the parts, a replacement ice maker which he installed with the ease of a seasoned pro. he stayed another hour to make sure it worked. He reluctantly left at 10 pm when it still had not made ice. He had came to the conclusion that the computer had to reset, but if it did not work he would be back tomorrow for further diagnosis. It dropped ice about 12pm and has been fine ever since. I felt he had undercharged for the after hours service and the work he did, so we tipped him well. He did all he could to refuse the extra money, but reluctantly accepted it when I told him I would be insulted if he did not. Second Service call: Our dryer started making a squealing bearing noise. I was confused as I had cleaned its insides and replaced the drum rollers, belt, tensioner and the drum center bearing but 3 years ago, I recognized the sound as a likely drum roller bearing going bad. So I called them again. I had ordered the the parts I believed were going bad from Amazon to get them here quickly. When Ali opened the dryer it was clear that a drum roller was squealing as I suspected. He refused to install the rollers I had ordered and went to his truck to retrieve OEM rollers as the ones I had were inferior, "would be more noisy". I expected an upcharge for the parts off the truck, but no, he gifted them to me as I had the parts but he would not install the lesser product. They are not expensive but a gift none the less. I do not know who else works for this company, but, if they are as competent, well mannered, prompt and economically reasonable as my tech, Ali, I will recommend them as servicemen of high order. P. Then she calls 'somewhere', and eventually a sales rep comes out, but the whole time you're wondering 'wth?' because there are no other people in the whole building. Weird. No background music, no literature laying around. etc. Finally a sales rep comes out from some hidden place, and he was very nice, friendly, knowledgeable and professional, but was unable to fully answer all of our questions. When we called him later on his cell phone there was no voice mailbox available, so we thought that was wierd too. Eventually we did purchase what we were looking for, but it has not been delivered yet, sooooooo, the final jury is still out. We don't feel very attached, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that everything works out as we have been assured.

    We purchased a stove and a seal for our washing machine from Frontline. I was in the store twice…read morelooking at stoves. Both times the sales people were very friendly. I was met promptly coming through the door and they answered all of my questions. My appliance was delivered within 2 days. Delivery was quick and I saved on a service fee by having both my seal and the stove done at the same time. My delivery person was nice. He came in and got the job done. I haven't gotten a chance to use my stove yet but everything seems to be working. The delivery person cleaned up after himself on the way out and took my old unit with him which I did pay for. Their delivery prices were very reasonable. Every unit on their floor appears to come with a warranty which I really liked. Most of their items are used/refurbished/open box items so I felt a lot more confident purchasing knowing there was a warranty and the items had been inspected.
