Due to people staying home because of the pandemic there are more cars and people in their homes. The landscapers are next to each other. They do not wear masks. I watched 4 of them using blowers huddled together. They also seem not to care that more cars are in the parking spaces. They were blowing twigs and dirt rocks right at parked cars. My window were open and they were using the blower right next to my window. I was sitting on my patio and one man came walking right across my patio area with no mask and within 3 feet of me. Terrible service. Boss is never around. Doesn't answer emails. He has a huge development to do 5 days a week. Half of our grass is dead , half get winterizing half don't , but most have terrible grass. Put grass down for trees that get removed, never grows as he's cheap with it , the guys , half try to do their job they the other half walk around with a blower and blow all the mess back over your lawn. I wish I could give HTL no stars because I think they are the worst. I live in the Hills and been to get my HOA to get someone else and the response is that are like all other landscape companies. In my place they trimmed all of the scrubs so much the almost didn't survive plus the stomped all over the plants we have and they didn't survive. Their tree trimming skills are also bad. They don't provide capable supervision they just let the workers make their own decisions on what to do. Their retaining wall and water control solutions are terrible. High Tech in Branchburg is a professional and thorough company. We used them to edge, mulch and seed some new grass in our current landscaping. The crew is neat and thorough. They made any small changes We asked. We are VERY pleased with them! They were great to work with. read more

I work at a shopping center whose lawn maintenance is done by High Tech Landscapes. A few weeks ago I had my new truck backed in up to a small hill. When I got home that evening, I saw a large scratch on my tailgate as well as a large, deep scratch in my bumper. That was not there when I parked my car earlier. The landscaping company had been there earlier in the day cutting the grass. When I went back to the parking spot, I could see that the grass had been cut behind where my truck had been parked but not the grass where my truck bed covered. There were tire marks in the dirt as well as two spots where I could see the tires had slid some down the hill. I called High Tech Landscapes and informed them of the damage to my truck and sent pictures of the damage as well as pictures of tire marks, slide marks and even a video of how the grass was cut around my truck. A week later, High Tech finally sends someone to check out the damage and also take pictures of the hill and grass. A WEEK later!!! It's not rocket science to figure out that the grass had started to grow in. They guy even said, "I'll tell them not to cut over here anymore because I see how all the cars park nose in".!! Today, I received a letter from High Tech Landscapes stating that there is no way their mower could have damaged my truck where the damage is. They are refusing to pay for the damages because I did not call the police and file a report. Also, the shopping center does not have video surveillance in the back. So, if you plan on using High Tech Landscapes to handle your lawn care, make sure you either have video surveillance or move you vehicles to an area far away from where they will be mowing. It's sad that a large company like theirs would deny responsibility to my truck. read more

At first I chose to ignore the reviews I found on here and called High Tech Landscapes (HTL) on the advice of some neighbors. I did not regret giving them a chance and chose them to install some PVC pipes to get rainwater away from my home. HTL was very patient with me. I reached out to them in January and when I was finally ready (June 2017) to commence the project. I sent in my check and expected to get call a few days later once they got my 50% deposit check/signed contract. I did not hear anything for a week because I called HTL. Another few weeks go buy and I am like WTF?! I call again. They finally come second week of August. The work was done well, but it took 1.5 days, not one like I was told. I hear nothing from HTL after the work is completed. I send an email stating that I will be putting a check in the mail. I send a bill pay through my bank only to find out later in the day (after I checked my postal mail) that tax was not included. Really, who sends estimates without tax included? If I can give advice to anybody. Consider HTL only if you are a larger project. My small drainage project was slotted in. It's abundantly clear to me that the big spenders get the attention. Honestly, I would not use this company again or recommend them to anybody just because you need to chase them. read more

Less than 2 years ago, I contracted with them to provide "privacy screen" evergreen spruce trees. This company was not the cheapest price, but I was looking for larger 8-10 foot trees and knew it would be costly. I also believed that "you get what you pay for", so I went with them expecting quality and service. I was disappointed, and I still am today. The quality of the trees installed was poor. Some trees were irregularly shaped with one or 2 sides missing branches at the bottom, the branches were dead, or there were holes in the trees where the branches were irregular. Other trees were sparse and not full, so that you could see the trunks. One tree may have been a nice quality, but overall the row of trees looked like they were not taken care of . When I questioned it, I was told (by Paul) that they will fill out. And during the installation, the trees had to be continually turned around to try to find the "best" side, because there were no really "good" sides. Additionally, I had waited 5-6 weeks from the time I signed the agreement (and I think I paid him a deposit as well) to the time the trees were planted. And after 3-4 weeks, I was calling every few days to find out when the trees would be planted. I should have rejected the trees when I saw how bad the trees looked, but I was desperate to get something planted since I had been waiting so long. I also had them quote some hard-scaping / patio work. I had to wait months for the proposal. Today, the quality of the trees is still poor. I waited to write this review to see if the trees would fill out. I've had them specially fertilized. It's disappointing. The only good part was the workers - they were great. There were about 10 men who showed up to plant these large trees. They hauled them around (I have a fairly large property) and got them installed quickly given the size and number of trees. My advice: If you chose to use High Tech, be prepared to chase after them. And be prepared to demand the quality that you are paying for. Don't accept any excuses. read more

High tech came out to turn on my sprinklers. Every year it appears they need to replace sprinkler heads, costing anywhere from $20-50 a piece. This time, they replaced 4 heads and then told my husband that the pipes near a big tree in my yard needed to be replaced. So, instead of explaining to my husband what it would look like afterwards, he told my husband that he would probably need to mulch the area. The total for everything was close to $400.00 and when the worker left my house, my front lawn had what looked like a big blue hose was just hanging out on top of the dirt. Real professional! I called the next day to complain. I was told that because of the roots by my tree, they had to do it that way and in order to bury the pipes, it would cost me a lot more money. So now I'm supposed to live with this eyesore on my lawn unless I spend more $$$. I want high tech to fix this or I will sue them. read more

This companies not very smart. If you hire them to cut your grass that will blow rocks and dirt all over your car. Then when you try to say something they cant speak English. I wouldn't recommend using them at all. read more
