Genie Tree Service is amazing! This is my second time using Genie Tree Service. They are reasonably priced, hard working, polite, and excellent at what they do. They arrive with all the equipment you need and a team to use it. This time they took down 2 large trees and severallarge branches, cleaned up 3 beds and trimmed every overgrown bush tree on my 2 1/2 acres. I plan to have them back every year now. read more

I have used Genie Tree Service LLC several times and have always received excellent results. The foreman is quick to respond when called and will arrive the same day or the next to provide an estimate. His crew are some of the hardest workers I've ever seen and they always leave my yard spotless. You wouldn't even be able to tell the trees were removed when they're done. If you want a great price, great service and reliability, go with Genie! read more

Good price, excellent work, pleasant and competent people. Couldn't ask for more! The proprietor came with hours of being called and provided an estimate. He was flexible with dates and fitted in with my schedule. They arrived at 8.30am on the appointed day and by 3.30pm two large trees had been cut down and the stumps ground up. They did an excellent clean up job leaving very little trace of all the earlier activity (at one point the back yard was covered in branches and leaves). I recommend these folks without reservation. read more

We were very lucky to have stumbled on these guys. They happened to be doing my neighbor's yard, so my husband was going to get a card/contact info. The worker ended up inviting him in to meet the boss. The boss is right there working with everyone else. He doesn't do the more strenuous stuff, but he monitors and advises his guys to make sure everything gets done properly. The price is extremely reasonable: we had a messy back yard full of semi tall, average sized trees, thick bristly bushes, thin fruit trees all around the perimeter -- some were leaning over precariously from all the recent storms. We also had a significantly large/tall tree in the middle of our backyard. In the front of our house, there were 8 thick stumps -- we had already cut down some very wide shrubs but could not do the stumps on our own. When we told our contractor how much the estimate was, he agreed it was very fair considering landscaping costs could vary. When comparing estimates from other companies, they do a lot more work for the same price. Super hard working people -- they had a full day of doing our neighbor's yard on a Saturday but after they finished they rang our bell and asked if they could start some work right away. It was 5 pm. We were shocked they wanted to continue working, but we were so eager and happy to finally have a company willing to do the work that we agreed. (All the companies we had called prior never called us back, and Edison Tree Patrol had given us an estimate, scheduled the job but then never showed up or returned our phone calls) Within 2 hours, they took down everything but the large tree in the center and the remaining stumps. By Monday, close to 6 PM they came back and finished the rest of the job -- took down the largest tree in the backyard and got rid of every stump. They worked until close to 9 PM. We were glad they were so eager to do the work and worked as fast as they could, but we were concerned that they couldn't see well as the sun had gone down completely, and by 9 PM it could be a noise disturbance to the neighbors. They also didn't give us a heads up of when they were going to come by to finish the work. Those were the only two minor issues. It didn't affect us, but maybe some owners prefer to be around for the work or have a heads up so they can move their cars, etc. Very thorough with their cleanup -- they raked the small branches that broke off, they filled up the huge holes that were made after they used their stump grinder machine (dirt was lying all around), they used a leaf blower to clear up any remaining dirt on the sidewalk/street. Once they were gone, I couldn't really tell they had been there at all. So pleased with the work and the cleanup! Definitely recommend! read more

They did a great job removing a large ash tree (killed by emerald ash borers) in our backyard. The tree was super close to the house but they managed to remove it very quickly without issues. Genie Tree Service - a man on a rope in a tree - Landscaping Near Me - New Brunswick, New Jersey

During Sandy, we had a 50 foot tree uprooted in our backyard and it fell into another tree in our neighbors yard. I called 6 companies for estimates and had such a wide range of estimates and how they would remove the tree. Genie tree service gave us a great price to remove the tree and stump/roots so I went with them. They were very professional, removed the tree without any damage to my yard or neighbors and grinned the roots/stump down to nothing. They cleaned up everything and were respectful of my yard. Very nice Father and son that run the company and I would highly recommend their services. Will definitely be using them for other major yard work that may come up. read more

We recently had a few trees taken down by Genie Tree service. While their price was better than any other company they completely took down way more branches than discussed from one of our trees that provided much needed shade to our yard. They were supposed to cut down the dead branches but instead took huge healthy limbs that were never discussed. If you hire them you will need to watch them like a hawk b cause they don't follow your instructions. read more

It takes a leap of faith to choose a business based solely on Yelp reviews, especially for a big job like multiple tree removals, but I'm so glad I did. After extensive search, I found Genie online. I highly recommend them. They were prompt and Ready to Go! Very hard workers. We had overgrown shrubs and trees trimmed, and branches cut. Genie Tree service did a great job cutting down a tree for us and cleaning it up. Just note that the scheduling is a bit off, after the owner gives you a quote, he will give a window of 2-3 weeks to get the job done. After that he will call you within that window and tell you his crew can be there in twenty minutes. read more

They removed one very large oak tree, over 100 years old, from my back yard. Excellent workers. They removed a small portion of my fence so that their bobcat and stump grinder could access my backyard. The fence was re-attached at the conclusion of the job. They also removed several Hosta plants and then put them back in their original locations. They started with a bucket truck as well as working on my roof. The stump was ground well below grade level. They left over a cord of branches and cut them up for use as firewood. My entire front, side and back yards were cleaned thoroughly leaving no branches or twigs. Took them a little over five hours. All of the workers were nice, energetic, attentive and friendly. The cost was very competitive and I waited less than a week for them to do the tree removal. I highly recommend them and would use them again. read more

they never show up .... got tired of call them but end it up doing bussines with a really professional company

Wonderful team! They came in and shaped all the overgrown trees in my yard. They trimmed back the dead branches from trees that I was worried about and took out a dead tree in the side yard. They team was polite and professional. They checked in periodically and even met with my neighbors when they had to access a tree in the yard. They used safety equipment and had some one who was monitoring everything to make sure the team was being safe in how they worked. The price was very reasonable. They came when they said they would. They cleaned up and took all the debris and even took old boards and planks that had been sitting behind my shed. They did such a great job my neighbor hired them that day :) read more

There's really no use looking anywhere else in the area. Like many of the other previous reviews I requested estimates from about 5 other local companies. I needed 2 trees, stumps, and around 10 bushes removed. They came in at around almost half of what other tree service companies wanted for the same job. We've all heard that you get what you pay for. With Genie I was very pleasantly surprised. The crew came on time on the day agreed upon. They took about 6 hours to do the entire job from start to clean up. The clean up was excellent and they had great attention to detail in ensuring that my yard wasn't a mess when they left. For the exception of some missing trees and bushes you wouldn't know I had a crew working in my back yard. I've had contracted two other tree service companies in the last 5 years. Genie's is top notch and I really can't find anything to nitpick or complain about. read more

Just hired Genie Tree Service to remove 5 trees and trim several other in my yard. From start to finish, these guys were prompt, professional and worked very cleanly. I called the owner and got a visit and estimate that same day. The estimate couldn't be beat by any other companies we got estimates from AND they came the very next day and finished the job. I cannot say enough about this hard working crew-you would never know that 5, 30-70 foot trees had been removed (stumps included) from our yard. They chopped the wood and stacked it for our fire pit and left the yard better than they had found it. I will be using this company again and without hesitation would recommend this crew to anyone looking for a good quality, fairly priced tree trimming and removal service. read more
