Branches removed.

Good price, excellent work, pleasant and competent people. Couldn't ask for more! The proprietor came with hours of being called and provided an estimate. He was flexible with dates and fitted in with my schedule. They arrived at 8.30am on the appointed day and by 3.30pm two large trees had been cut down and the stumps ground up. They did an excellent clean up job leaving very little trace of all the earlier activity (at one point the back yard was covered in branches and leaves). I recommend these folks without reservation.

I had a 40' Blue Spruce that was leaning towards the driveway and needed to remove. Called 3 services and went with Genie. Was able to get it taken care of the next morning. Very professional and cleaned all of the debris from the yard and cleaned up the drive. We also asked to save the top 9' to use as our Christmas Tree We planted the Spruce 32 years ago.

We were very lucky to have stumbled on these guys. They happened to be doing my neighbor's yard, so my husband was going to get a card/contact info. The worker ended up inviting him in to meet the boss. The boss is right there working with everyone else. He doesn't do the more strenuous stuff, but he monitors and advises his guys to make sure everything gets done properly. The price is extremely reasonable: we had a messy back yard full of semi tall, average sized trees, thick bristly bushes, thin fruit trees all around the perimeter -- some were leaning over precariously from all the recent storms. We also had a significantly large/tall tree in the middle of our backyard. In the front of our house, there were 8 thick stumps -- we had already cut down some very wide shrubs but could not do the stumps on our own. When we told our contractor how much the estimate was, he agreed it was very fair considering landscaping costs could vary. When comparing estimates from other companies, they do a lot more work for the same price. Super hard working people -- they had a full day of doing our neighbor's yard on a Saturday but after they finished they rang our bell and asked if they could start some work right away. It was 5 pm. We were shocked they wanted to continue working, but we were so eager and happy to finally have a company willing to do the work that we agreed. (All the companies we had called prior never called us back, and Edison Tree Patrol had given us an estimate, scheduled the job but then never showed up or returned our phone calls) Within 2 hours, they took down everything but the large tree in the center and the remaining stumps. By Monday, close to 6 PM they came back and finished the rest of the job -- took down the largest tree in the backyard and got rid of every stump. They worked until close to 9 PM. We were glad they were so eager to do the work and worked as fast as they could, but we were concerned that they couldn't see well as the sun had gone down completely, and by 9 PM it could be a noise disturbance to the neighbors. They also didn't give us a heads up of when they were going to come by to finish the work. Those were the only two minor issues. It didn't affect us, but maybe some owners prefer to be around for the work or have a heads up so they can move their cars, etc. Very thorough with their cleanup -- they raked the small branches that broke off, they filled up the huge holes that were made after they used their stump grinder machine (dirt was lying all around), they used a leaf blower to clear up any remaining dirt on the sidewalk/street. Once they were gone, I couldn't really tell they had been there at all. So pleased with the work and the cleanup! Definitely recommend!

Eugeuio and his crew did a stellar job!!! This is the second time I used them and they always seem to exceed my expectations. They brought down the big trees with controlled cuts in a tight space. They also grinded all the stumps down below grade. Genie has the heavy equipment capable of handling small to larger backyards. I would highly recommend this company for your next tree cut.

A friend recommended Genie when I had a large, 40 inch diameter tree to take down. Eugene gave me a very good estimate and sent his crew over within days to do the work. The team was highly professional, courteous and skilled. They dropped large branches in a controlled fashion without causing damage to the yard. They worked efficiently, cleaned up thoroughly when done and the only thing they left behind was a very satisfied customer! I highly recommend them.

During Sandy, we had a 50 foot tree uprooted in our backyard and it fell into another tree in our neighbors yard. I called 6 companies for estimates and had such a wide range of estimates and how they would remove the tree. Genie tree service gave us a great price to remove the tree and stump/roots so I went with them. They were very professional, removed the tree without any damage to my yard or neighbors and grinned the roots/stump down to nothing. They cleaned up everything and were respectful of my yard. Very nice Father and son that run the company and I would highly recommend their services. Will definitely be using them for other major yard work that may come up.

We recently bought a condo in New Brunswick with a promising but neglected back deck & patio space…read more After hearing about good work he'd done in E. Brunswick, we connected with Joe. He had very smart ideas on how to best develop our space and he guided his team in expertly fulfilling our vision. Joe's Landscaping finished our project a few days ahead of the tough deadline we'd set for them, and Joe & the team were friendly throughout the process. Many thanks, Joe!

Joe promised, and Joe delivered…read more When my wife and I moved out of Brooklyn and bought our home in East Brunswick, we fell in love with all the landscaping the previous owners meticulously put in. Our property felt like a botanical garden, far exceeding the standard run-of-the-mill landscaping jobs you see in most neighborhoods. What I didn't realize at the time was how completely unprepared I was to maintain this level of landscaping. Even after renewing the previous owners' contract with Broehl's (the local gold standard for lawn care and maintenance) there was still too much to do. Unfortunately, I have a black thumb for this kind of thing, and there's only so many checks I can afford to write to try and keep things looking good. So for the past few years my wife and I have actually invested money in scaling *back* some of the landscaping; essentially ripping out and replacing some of the more complicated beds that have steadily been beat on over the last few brutal winters and didn't look good any more. When we met with Joe, we were clear that we wanted nice-looking beds, but nothing that would be over-the-top difficult to care for and maintain. And we wanted clear sight lines down our front yard so we could see our kids playing in the street. The overall amount of work we need to do to get our property where we really want it is pretty staggering, so Joe discussed a phased plan that would allow us to get started without breaking the bank. Long story short, he and his crew ripped out the mess of bushes and plants and undergrowth that marked the front and center portion of our lawn. He designed a simple, but elegant bed that he said would look great but wouldn't be impossible to maintain. He took photos of our property in advance, and then simulated his recommended design over the photos via computer, allowing us to "see" what it would look like before we'd have to commit. As you can see from the photos, Joe and his crew did a great job. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the work. We get a ton of compliments on the before and after. (Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the before, but trust me -- this was a huge leap forward.) Truth be told, you're really at a disadvantage if you cannot do at least some of your own landscaping. Professional landscaping is expensive -- plain and simple. And frankly, I hate paying for it. But as I said in my previous review, Joe is a no-nonsense, honest businessman. If, as the saying goes, a man is only as good as his word, Joe is a good man. He and his crew are completely professional and do great work at a very competitive price. Just look at the photos and see the work for yourself. And feel free to message me if you have any questions or want to learn more.
