Removed old trees & replaced with evergreens. I love it

Update on my previous review: I gave negative review on Kevin Landscaping. 4 days ago & I regret what I did. They came & finished the job & I am happy. They did well on this project & I am now proud of my lawn. I would use them again.

Definitely, money well spent! They did an awesome job

I made an appointment for snow removal with phone call to me when snow remover was on the way. No phone call and no arrival. Fair warning.

He was friendly and courteous. The days that follow, we had communication with Rich (owner) about different prices for the material we wanted to use for our new fence. They are very affordable compared to others. The result: A few of our neighbors already told us how beautiful it looks. I am in awe at how efficient, professional (was here bright & early), fast, and hard-working Rich's guys are. Before I knew it, at the blink of an eye, they took down the old fence. I honestly think that these guys can do the job with their eyes closed. Due to this past winter season with lots of snow and rain, these guys are currently backed up with upcoming projects. They are in high demand because THEY ARE THE BEST!

I was asked by Yelp to put in my name, address with zip code, phone number and email. I did all of that as asked. I got a reply from Kelly at The Fence Guy saying that they needed all of the same information to give me an estimate. I immediately replied, and got a quick response saying that I was not in there service area. I responded that I wondered why I was required to give all of the same information that Yelp had requested and that I had furnished, and that their response was a waste of both their time and mine. I got a very sarcastic response from someone named Kelly at The Fence Guy that said I should have first checked their website information before I responded to their email reply, which would have told me that they only do work in Pinellas County, and that the problem was caused by Yelp's "platform". After attempting to cool down for a few hours I later responded to Kelly that I was not familiar with Yelp nor their platform. I am not aware of the work product of The Fence Gury, nor do I care to be, given this person named Kelly's sarcastic response. I assume that Yelp charges some sort of fee to recommend contractors. She may be totally familiar with Yelp's platform, but to totally waste both my time and their's with sarcastic remarks is not what I was l seeking. To Yelp's credit, I received other responses from their list of recommended fence contractors that stated that they were busy due to the hurricane damage, and would get back to me as soon as feasible, which I find totally acceptable and understanding.

Continental Home Group - New fence gate

UPDATE: Management has reached out and taken 100% accountability for the clerical error. The owner…read morehas promised to replace the gate with the correct lattice style and extend our warranty. I am temporarily updating this review to show they are working to resolve the issue. Once the correct gate is fully installed, this review will be removed completely. Unprofessional Bait-and-Switch - Using Their Contract Typos to Shortchange Customers Beware of Continental Home Group if you value honesty. Back on April 30th, we negotiated a fence project and explicitly requested a price match based on a competitor's quote that included '1 lattice gate.' The sales representative, Joe, confirmed in writing via text that the owner approved adding the lattice upgrade for free to match the deal and secure our business at a final price of $5,595. We paid them 100% in full and in good faith. However, the company committed a clerical error on the final paperwork they drafted by omitting the word 'lattice' on the line item. They then installed a plain, standard gate. When we immediately pointed out the error upon completion, they tried to gaslight us. First, the sales rep tried to claim a lattice gate was 'never discussed' (completely contradicting his own text messages). We very clearly stated a competitor (Modern Fencing) offered a lower price with the lattice gate included. The very definition of price matching is giving a better price for the same exact offer, so how did we end up not getting it in the price matched offer by CHG? Then, they tried to blame us for not acting as their job-site construction supervisors to stop the crew mid-installation. I notified Joe immediately after the crew left that same day that the gate was incorrect. He blamed me for not speaking up after it was already installed, even though the labor and material costs to swap it out would be the same regardless. Finally, they demanded an extra extortion fee of $500, or told us we had to 'buy a whole new project' just to get the gate we already paid for. Highway robbery to charge that much just to replace a gate. Using your own corporate typographical error to hold a fully paid customer's gate hostage for more cash is a completely unethical, bad-faith business practice. I am currently filing a formal consumer fraud complaint with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and initiating a small claims lawsuit in the Middlesex County Special Civil Part to recover the cost of hiring a reputable company to fix their mistake. Check every single syllable of their paperwork, because they will aggressively exploit their own mistakes to avoid honoring their written text commitments. This is not how you treat a paying customer. I regret not staying with Modern Fencing. Not only were they cheaper, we would have gotten exactly what we asked for. Instead we got bait and switched by Continental Home Group.

    Great Kills

A few weeks ago, I chose Design Fencing (designfencing@aol.com) to install a new fence in my yard,…read moreeven though I had used another fencing company twice before (I won't name them) to install a fence. They did great work before, and I was very satisfied then, but this time I didn't choose them. I read some recent negative reviews online, and their salesman didn't always get back to me in a timely manner about my quotes and answering my questions. I also asked if his company could repair a gate that needed to be rehung. He told me "No, my company doesn't do repairs. We replace." Well, that was not an answer I wanted to hear. So, I then went and got my second estimate, which was from Design Fencing. Their original quote for my project from Design Fencing was several hundreds of dollars higher, but Michael, their salesman, worked with me on lowering the price to my satisfaction. Michael also told me that his company would be willing to rehang the gate that I wanted to be fixed. Michael was very persistent asking if I had questions or concerns. He sent me frequent updates and texts asking if I had made my decision in choosing a fencing company. He didn't pressure me, but he was persistent in his communication, which greatly impressed me. He sent me a link to check out his company's positive reviews, and he also discussed with me his company's warranty policy. I decided to hire Design Fencing. I gave Michael a deposit of $540.00 to order supplies, and the balance was due after the job's completion. Michael told me that the fence would be put up three to six weeks later, which was fine with me. I paid by check since a credit card payment would incur a charge. The fence was put up within that time frame that we discussed. Joe, a middleman, worked with me on connecting with Anthony, his foreman. Today, Anthony arrived with two or three workers a little after 9 AM, and they were done with the project about 12:10. I was told it would take about three hours, and it did. Before they began, Anthony and I went over what was to be done and to make sure we were both on the same page. He then asked for access to an outdoor electrical outlet and to water to mix cement. The job was completed quickly and efficiently. Anthony and his crew cleaned up and took away an old gate that had been up before that was replaced with a new gate. Anthony was friendly and professional. His workers were also polite and pleasant. Even though Design Fencing's quote was still higher than my first estimate from my previously used company, I decided to go with Design Fencing for their great reviews, warranty, and their great communication with me. I figured the extra money spent was worth it. So, assuming my fence will be sturdy and last for years to come, I greatly recommend Design Fencing!
