We had Sami's come over to my mom's house to give us an estimate to remove two 50YO dying bushes, a very large dead tree branch, a branch hanging from a neighbor's tree, and a huge pile of branches her landscaper collected over time. Sami was professional, gave us a very fare estimate, and scheduled us within a couple of days. His crew arrived on time and worked professionally and diligently even before Sami arrived. The crew of 3 hustled and did an excellent job, working safely to make sure limbs fell away from structures. The driver of the bucket and chipper was very skilled, being sure not to damage any areas along driveways. They cleaned up branches and chipper debris with rakes and a blower without being asked. They are very accommodating when we asked for stumps to be cut a little lower to the ground. They even went above and beyond trimming off smaller dead branches they saw while up in the trees at no additional cost. We will definitely call Sami's again the next time we need tree work. read more

Do not hire! They may give a good estimate, but it's not worth the heart ache of dealing with them. They left garbage in the yard. Didn't leave wood in manageable pieces, though that was what was discussed. Didn't clean up all fallen branches. Didn't clean up broken branches. Destroyed a live tree in the yard by not cutting down tree properly. They don't leave the job the same or better as before they were there. Promised things that Sami didn't follow through with. Smooth talker with horrible work ethic. Run as fast as you can somewhere else. Take your business elsewhere! read more

I called several tree services after getting an astronomical quote from the first one. Sami was quick to come check out the tree, offered the best price, and once I gave the go-ahead, the tree was down in less than 24 hours. Everyone else took days to even look at the tree and told me it would be at least a week after I commit to using them. Hopefully my last tree stays up, but if it needs to come down, I know who to call. read more

Really disappointed! I scheduled an appointment for Sami to come look at my yard, and the operator gave me appointment for monday between 12 to 1 pm. I took off from my work for few hours but guess what? Nobody showed up. Around 12.50 i called the company to see whats going on and the operator said "Sami's car broke down, We can reschdeule" I mean are you kidding me? Ok I understand emergencies can happen, but one shouldn't be that improfessional to atleast not let the customer know if they cant make it. If I wouldnt have called nobody would have reached me to inform "hey we appologize for the inconvenience but this and that happened" I told this to the operator because ofcourse anybody would be frustrated if they take few hours off from their busy schedule and this happens. But the operator said "well i hope you can find someone better who can do a better job" I was like wow! No comments. If they can't handle a situation like this professionally, than i doubt how will they handle my yard professionally! read more

Good guy, can be hard to reach but most landscapers are!

I called Sami to remove 6 trees from my newly-purchased house, and on a tight time-frame on account of juggling the schedule between other contractors. He came out the same day, provided me with a good quote within the hour, and scheduled two days out. The quote was within $200 of another I'd received, but from a crew that didn't inspire much confidence (i.e. equipment). He not only showed up on time, he was there at 7:30 with an entire army, tanks and all (8-10 guys, three huge trucks, two chippers, a huge cherry-picker to take out a 100ft+ tree, and all the cleanup tools). His crew started on the monster tree (3.5 to 4 foot trunk diameter, and about 4 feet away from the house) which had two major trunk sections held together by a steel cable. One of the trunks was leaning over the house (hence the reason why it needed to be removed -- that trunk would have crashed all the way through to the basement once the old steel cable snapped in a high wind). His crew worked for 4 hours taking that tree apart, with me excited as a little dog going from window to window to see what they were doing, it was like watching them perform surgery. The walls right next to that tree have 3/4 glass windows - no cracks, no chips. As pieces of the tree were coming down, I could feel thumps as the huge pieces of lumber were coming down. Once his crew was done with that one, they took out the next-larger tree which had been struck by lighting and was right up against the power lines coming to the house. Not a flicker. Lastly, they took out 4 trees about one-foot in trunk diameter in a fraction of time it took for the monster. When they were done, they pulled up their grass-saver pads (so the lawn didn't get destroyed by the trucks and falling logs), shredded everything that could be shredded, took away all the huge trunk pieces, and ground down the stumps of the monster and lighting trees. All in all they did 90% of the work in just one day (yes, one day), and then took out the heaviest logs and grounded down the stumps after. I have worked with contractors before on my own house(s), in a couple of states, and Sami is in that elite group of folks I've had the pleasure to work with. He has set the bar by which all the other contractors I'm working with now are being measured. Needless to say, he's definitely earned my business and respect. read more

Incompetent and terrible business ethics, I would have posted 0 stars but that is not an option here so they get 1 star more than they deserve. Sami's tree service comes to give me an estimate and I never hear from them again and they haven't returned any phone calls. Well, correction, they returned the 1st call, came out and never heard from them again. They called me back after my 3rd call to tell me that I would hear from them by end of day Thursday, that was last week and I'm still waiting. Seems the job may have been to big to prune some dead wood and broken branches and the tree may have been to high? They should have been honest enough and had some decent business integrity to say that they were not capable or qualified enough to handle the job instead of leaving customers to wonder if you would ever hear from them again. There are better tree services out there, don't waste your time with Sami's. read more
