While the burritos come out fast, they are rather lackluster. I'm sure there might be better locations, but this one isn't great. The one burrito I had twice came out wildly different each time. Granted, it was a veggie burrito, but still, not that hard to mess up, right? I'm not even sure how it happened. I only really went there since I was working nearby. :/ read more

This place is rip off.. they been screwed my Taco order couple of times .. I asked for two vegetarian tacos .. it end up showing $12. Every thing they charge $1 black bean,$1 lemon rice,$2 vegetable base price $3.25 decided to go somewhere else. Not going again. read more

i went to get pizza with my wife and kids , the staff was friendly and treat us very nice and the food was delicious !!!! definitely one of the best pizza around ! read more

It was good but super generic. Definitely not the best burrito in town. Still pretty good though. read more

High Tech Burrito - Blackhawk - Pretty large menu - Mexican Near Me - Danville, California

Overpriced and the food was mediocre at best. Customer service lacking as well. It was my first visit and I had a few questions for the young man working there and he seemed bothered by my questions. Won't be going back. read more

I come here all the time, not because of food is good but the conveyance. I have to say every time I come here the woman behind the cash register seemed pissed. Like I'm asking for her personal stash of salsa! With the amount they charge for their food they should have more than enough salsa to give as a customer needs. I'll say it again customer service in a digital age is key and I think you just lost a customer over a little salsa. Just bad business shortie read more

Great atmosphere and great bartender! Good vibes! Love the lamp lollipops and hanging outside on a nice sunny day

I've been coming here for years, speficially to this location. My family tried this place about seven or eight years ago. A year later we would pick up food from here almost every other Saturday. It was a fun little outing for my dad and me. My dad would get the Godzilla burrito. My go-to for years has been the Cajun Chicken burrito (whole wheat tortilla, chicken thigh- small peices, less sour cream). The burritos are filling so I'd typically share with my mom when we got home. Unfortunately, my dad fell ill and couldn't eat here anymore due to new dietary rules as well as meds he was taking. So we stopped coming here as we felt bad eating it when he wasn't able to. After he passed, for some time it was hard coming here without thinking of him. But now its a nice reminder of the the good outings we had and the food is still good. I've since moved away from this town, but when I occasionally come back to visit my mom, we usually stop here for my fav burrito. The environment is always friendly. Lots of times even when I call in my order they already know who I am even after not ordering here after months when Im not around. All in all, I've mostly had good experiences here and the food is pretty good. read more

High Tech has been a steady part of my fast food dining for years. It is consistent, although much higher priced than it used to be. Hard to believe that ships and salsa, two quesadillas and two aft drinks were over $26! I can go to servers full service restaurants for that price. read more

Craving a burrito so decided to give it a try, I wasn't expecting much as the menu has that poke too and salmon wraps, seemed weird. I stuck with a traditional burrito and assumed it would be bland. Wow it was amazing. Their salsas are very good. They have a Smokey chipotle one it a little hot and and a great tomatillo one. On line ordering was quick and they emailed an exact time it would be ready. I will be back. read more

Salads are yummy , my kids really love the burritos and I think this tops chipotle. The food here is flavorful and the portions are great.. my new choice read more

There's lots of variety of healthy options cooked from scratch. Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Go for it.

Husband loves this place. I think it's fine but quite frankly I don't understand the fuss. He gets the gorilla. I get the veggie so maybe stick to the meat options if you go here. read more

Had a fajita burrito. Tasteless. No sign of the salsa that should have been in it. The rice in it was dry and overcooked. Will not return. A total waste of money. read more

Waited for around 30 minutes for a to go order. It was made much sooner but they left my food near the front. They said someone called out my name but I didn't hear my name get called out. read more

The glory days of High Tech burrito have gone the way of the Delorean and Pan Am airlines! Now, this place is just your below average, one step above Taco Bell, burrito joint. My only memorable experience at "High Tech" was in the mid nineties when John Madden was in front of me ordering a veggie burrito!! Hey....It's the burbs, you have to get your excitement where ever you can find it. To wrap it up (no pun intended) High Tech burrito is to burritos as the Apple Lisa was to computers. Enough said... read more

The food is really good here and they are quick. The only reason why I am giving this review a 3 star rating is because the manager laughed at the way I talked over the phone when I called to place my order for pick up. When I asked the female manager why she was laughing at the way I talk, she flat out lied to me and said she wasn't lying. I then told here that she was laughing at my and she continued to lie and say she wasn't. I then asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the manager. I was in shock to find out that she was the manager and ask here if managers are trained to laugh at the customers. She said no, and then I said that she needs to stick to what she is trained to do! She needs to be fired since that is how she treated her customers. read more

This place has been steadily going downhill for the past six months. It honestly used to be my go to burrito place, but the last several times I've ordered from here, they were either out of necessary ingredients like chicken, black beans and rice (this is a burrito place, right?!) or they've forgot to include an extra/side of guacamole which was ordered and also paid for. There was a time time place was great as the food was of good quality, they didn't run out of multiple ingredients at the same time and the staff got orders done correctly. But that's sadly not the case anymore it seems. In short, looks like it's time to head over to Chipotle from here on out or find another burrito place. read more

Let me start by saying on the rare occasion that my burrito is actually made correctly, I enjoy High Tech Burrito quite a bit. But in my experience of ordering between 2 and 4 burritos at a time (for my family), at least one is made wrong. When you pay an extra $1.50 for guacamole and $0.50 for sour cream, only to find neither on your burrito, it gets annoying. I'd also like to say I've sent two separate messages to High Tech Burrito on their website and they did not respond either time. If you are willing to play Burrito Roulette in the hopes of getting a good burrito occasionally, High Tech Burrito is for you. read more

Got a Godzilla burrito bowl and used the Yelp Check-In to get a $1 off. It's a solid value and you get a lot of food. Food came out fast.

Easy, accessible burritos. I think I prefer Baja Fresh burritos, but these are affordable, relatively quick burritos with pretty good size, texture, and taste. Better than your average fast food option (i.e. taco bell) but IMO comes up short against even Chipotle. Worth considering how much you like Mexican - this is about the only Mexican my girlfriend will eat, as she isn't crazy about Mexican food. She jokes that it's inauthentic enough for her to eat. That's a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preference. read more

I would never go back to this location. Mass confusion poor orders. I am now taking my business to baja fresh across the street. High tech has lost a long rome customer for good. Just close this location down for good read more

Very friendly service. Ordered a chicken bowl. It was ok, just not much flavor. If I'm in the area, I'd go back and try something different. Again, great service. read more

Taco Bell's box lunch is way better. Even if I was completely high I would never go back. Gross!

Decided to give this place a try but I was skeptical because of where this place is located. It's Danville so you know you're gonna be surrounded by privileged self-entitled snobs, but I digress. The food is good and the employees were friendly, especially the pretty little caramel colored Latina that was working the register. She was fast and friendly. That girl deserves a raise for having to deal with some of the people that were going in there that day. I don't think I'll be going in there again anytime soon since I don't live anywhere close by (I stopped by on my way to Fremont) but my experience when I was there was definitely 5 stars. read more

I ordered a MEAT ONLY burrito to take out. When I got home the burrito had NO meat and was filled with rice, cheese and and beans which I specifically did not order. I called the store and the manager began to argue with me that my burrito had meat, because he made it himself and accused me of lying. I returned to the store with the rice, bean and cheese burrito and showed the manager who was still insistent that the burrito had meat in it. I opened it up and asked him to find it; he couldn't. Clearly they gave me the wrong burrito, but instead of just manning up and apologizing for the mixup and replacing the burrito, they lost a customer. read more

If you like bland, mediocre food, this is your place. If you want Mexican food, this is not. I ordered the Cajun burrito, which was surprisingly lacking in flavor, much less spice, and very messy as their "cajun" sauce ran out. I decided to put some their hot (they call it nuclear) sauce on to add some zest, only find out that it was really just plain (and again very bland) salsa. The upshots, were the Tapitia on the table helped out some, the staff was nice, and the restaurant was clean. read more

I discovered High-Tech Burrito recently after being a regular customer of Chipotle for years. I have to tell you, I have discovered what real burrito should taste like after my first 2 bites. At this location, Rita serves each customer with a smile. She is also the one who introduced me to their famous sauce "Nuclear". I recommend their Fajita Chicken. If you like your food spicy, nuclear is as spicy as it gets. Delish!!! I have now become a regular customer of this location. I have brought friends and family as well. read more

It's food is pretty good. Its moderately priced and has healthier options like the low fat chicken burrito which I always get. Not to mention, its in a good location with a nearby movie theater and a barber so you can get many needs met at the same time:) read more

Really good food but consistently lazy service. I had to ask the cashier twice to clean off a table for us (there was not a single clean table in the empty restaurant when we walked in). Her version of cleaning the table was removing the visible debris. 5 full minutes later she had disappeared to do other things and I had to hunt her down again to have the table wiped down. 2 minutes later, she handed me a rag so I could wipe it myself (picture attached). Total fail. read more

High Tech Burrito - Blackhawk - Mexican Near Me - Danville, California

Visited this place for the first time and had the carnitas burrito. Tons of flavor, big as a truck and a bit of a mess. For me that usually means a good burrito. Short wait and out the door. Super friendly staff. Next time I'll try one of their healthier options. No, I won't. So good. read more

Mmm...rich people burritos. High Tech Burrito is an oddity, its fresh ingredient burritos. Those of us used to Chipotle will appreciate the ingredient quality and the more burrito options found at High Tech Burrito. If i lived close, I would go there instead of Chipotle. Similar cost for a better burrito. read more

I'm on the fence about this place. On one hand it was good, the Baja shrimp burrito was good. The shrimp wasn't overcooked and it was a good portion. But on the other hand, it didn't blow me away. I guess I'm used to Mexican burritos and these were more of "American" burritos. But like I said, it wasn't bad so I may be back. I have to say that service at High Tech burrito was great. read more

I bought a Braised Tofu burrito for my friend. He didn't like it. He was violently ill with food poisoning 36 hours later. It is impossible to know the cause for sure, but this was the only thing he ate that I didn't in the 2 days before he was ill. We won't ever go back. read more

Good burritos! Got a carnitas burrito on my initial visit. Staff is quite friendly and patient with newbies.

I used to come here alot maybe 10 years ago when my wife worked nearby. I remember it being good but we hadn't been in a long time. Perhaps we should have let it be forgotten. My steak burrito was served luke warm and they forgot to add the salsa. I got about 1/4 thru and came across something really chewy...like a fatty piece. By that point it was cold so i just threw the rest out. My wife said i should complain but honestly it wasnt good enough to get it remade. My wifes teriyaki bowl was decent she said, so i added a star. Likely wont come back as there are better options in the area. read more

Beans, cold. Cheese, not melted. Flavor, none. I took two bites when I got home, across the street, and it wasn't even worth my time or money to go back and have it remade or refunded. Was asked by the line cook if I wanted my hot salsa on the side or on the burrito, when I said on the side, she said ok, and in a couple minutes my order was ready. Got home, no salsa. I'm the burrito or on the side. What a waste of a retail location. This area already lacks in food, and here's another restaurant that eventually, if the details aren't paid attention to, will close. Never going back. read more

High tech burrito is amazing. And now they brought back their $1.75 side (beans and rice, chips and sals, etc) which is a great deal.

I like this place. It is close to home, plus they serve good food that tastes homemade. I love their mild salsa. It is very addicting. I usually alternate between two things. I get the chicken quesadilla which comes with salsa, sour cream and guacamole. I also get a chicken burrito. I like that you can customize what you want in them and they have a lot of choices as to what you can put in. They have 3 different kinds of rice, even. They also just started a loyalty program. I am anxious to see how that works. read more

We have been coming to eat here for many years and never thought about reviewing it. The past few times, we have been greeted and had our order taken by a young man (Calvin), he is what prompted me to write this review. Great job Calvin, you have made a great impression on us, keep up the great work!!! read more
