5 Stars - Highly Recommend!…read more I cannot say enough good things about my experience with the Pistol Certificate class at Safe and Secure! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease, which was a huge deal for me--I came in with a real fear of guns. Dan, our instructor, completely transformed that fear into confidence and respect through his patient and professional approach. Dan is simply incredible. He has a calm, non-intimidating teaching style that puts even the most nervous students (like me!) at ease. He never rushed the process, took his time with each of us individually, and ensured that we understood the safety procedures, handling, and mechanics of a firearm before moving on. I never felt pressured or overwhelmed at any point during the training. One of the standout things about this class is how thorough and hands on it is. Dan not only explained the laws and safety rules clearly but also guided us step-by-step through all the state and local paperwork required to obtain our gun permits. He made sure everything was filled out correctly and answered every question with patience and clarity. What really impressed me was how focused the course was on safety, responsibility, and proper mindset. This wasn't just about checking a box to get a permit--this was real education and empowerment. By the end of the class, I felt confident, informed, and prepared--not just to legally own a firearm, but to handle one safely and respectfully. I'm honestly looking forward to taking more advanced classes with Dan and his wife in the future. If you're looking into getting your pistol permit, or if you're nervous like I was, don't hesitate, this is the class to take. You'll walk out smarter, safer, and stronger. Thank you for a great class and thank you for serving!

I was introduced to Alan and PP Plus through a friend who also took the class here. We did the course on a Wed. We only had 3 people in the class, two had never handled a gun before, one male one female. They both left pretty excited about the experience and shooting pretty well I was actually really impressed with Alans attention to Safety details but also he coached them on marksmenship. The class took a good portion of the day and then we went to the range where Alan had 10 guns of many different calibers and sizes for the class to shoot. NET NET what a great experience. I paid for the CT & UT concealed carry permit. Waited a couple weeks, my completion certificate never arrived. I texted Ryan and he emailed it over. I waited a couple more weeks and nothing for my UT permit arrived in the mail (the application has to be stamped by the instructor). I emailed Ryan a few times. He said it was in the mail now. A couple weeks after that I still hadn't received it. He said to give it a couple more days because it's coming from FL. Got it a couple days later, postmarked return address CT. Left it with them and was told that technician will call back in a couple days, a week after I was the one making the call. Someone tells me that the technician said that the mancraft system was broken, but they tell me to call back later. Call back later, talk to technician and technician informs that it's not broken but that it has the wrong spring... we both agree that a spring is not a big deal and it could be changed, he says he will call back and tell me the additional price for the spring. Never calls back I call back a week later. Someone informs me that the technician said he can't repair it since the mancraft was shipped from Poland and something else but the technician left a note that they barely understand. They tell me to wait for his call. No one calls back so I call back one week later. They tell me technician has quit and to come and pick up my gun. THE STORY GETS BETTER. Take the hour drive to pick up my gun and rifle is all greasy and dirty, gun totally disassembled, the original mancraft spring is missing, the mancraft piston head is missing, one of the rings broken, and mancraft hose all scratched and probably torn, with the mancraft was another spring that has evidence of being cut. When I ask what had happened I was given the best answer I have received in all my life: The technician quit on us and went to work with the people from groundzero see if you can talk to him. He fucked us up and there is nothing we can do.
