I had my multistate permit class with them yesterday. Ive taken classes all over the state with various companies and I must say these guys are the best! Not only was it very organized and on point, it was fun. So many permit classes can be a drudgery and you really don't learn much. This was absolutely the opposite. Joe made it fun, very informative and really made what can be a confusing thing, super easy. They do most of the work for you aside from filling out your personal info and really make the process "bullet proof". No pun intended. Lol Huge thanks to Joe and his team for this. They also offer a multitude of other classes if you want to be a security guard, if you need your conceal carry permit and more. So I had the pleasure of taking a class with Joe during the middle high of the pandemic. They were closed for a while due to regulations but found a way to provide great service while being professional, safe and courteous. This was the first time I saw anyone work around these restrictions but still conduct an efficient class. The team was very helpful with information and Jannette was very responsive whenever I called with questions or concerns. They were a bit out of the way for me in terms of locations but they're customer service overshadows the trip making them a worthwhile visit and go to place for instruction. I went to get my ct pistol course at Golden Eye Academy! I Have to say that I was impressed by they're staff and instructors.Brian happen To be one of my Instructors! I have to say that he went above and beyond with information and they are very knowledgeable. when We went to shooting range, Joe the owner met with all Students, and he shared some extra tips and information about pistols. He was very respectful and Again very knowledgeable! They also provided us with an additional info when we went home, and they offer us to gave the school a call in case we have any question. I took a CT pistol permit course with Joe and the class was really informative he really makes sure each person gets all there questions answered and have a full understanding of the safety and handling of a firearm before anything else along with walking you through the permit process it was a very in depth course that was not boring i would definitely recommend this course along with all the other courses if your getting a pistol permit i recommend to any new pistol owner to get as much training with it as possible and goldeneye's training courses are well worth your time i've taken courses elsewhere and i prefer training with goldeneye..... great people read more

I took the pistol class the from Joey at Goldeneye with 6 others and it deserved more than a five star rating. It was informative and fun. The atmosphere was loose yet professional and extremely safe. You were taught from the start to handle even the fake and unloaded guns in a safe manner. The time we spent at the indoor range was great and we could have gone on for hours. I highly recommend you take this class even if you don't have plans to get your permit and purchase a firearm in the future. read more

Joe Porto is an awesome instructor, who's personality seems very genuine and welcoming! He is very knowledgeable in the topics that he teaches, and makes the class easy and light to understand. I personally had an issue with the approval process with my local PD for my permit, and he drove out of his way to get me squared up to keep things moving in the right direction. I chose Goldeneye to do my CT pistol permit and I did not regret it! They also helped me renew my guard card a while back and everything was simple and straightforward. They definitely make sure that you're feeling confident and comfortable while in the class as well as in the shooting range. I went to Goldeneye Academy for my Utah and Florida multi state non-resident carry permit and it was an absolute pleasure. I got all the information needed, fingerprints full service all done same day. Staff was very pleasant and I would definitely use them for any training in the future. This was when we were able to do the class in person along with range time. These guys know what they're talking about and make the material very understandable. They are very professional and encourage asking questions. The range time was good and you got the option to shoot different firearms with different calibers.
