This place is way too over priced. I feel like they charge way too much for piercings just because they know college students will want piercings and they know that they will pay for it. I got pierced here and I just needed a shorter post and they were even going to charge for that, which is ridiculous, it should be free of charge. If you wanna save money and to get a good piercing, go to area 51 the staff is so much nicer and they are professional and they will give you a free post if you need one. The vibe here is pretentious... getting a piercing should be a fun experience but you don't have to pay for overpriced piercings if you find the right place! High Priestess is one of those original piercing places; it's been around since at least 1996 around here as probably the first alternative to Claire's boutique. I still think of this building as their "new location" even though they've been here at least 15 years. Almost everyone I know has gotten a piercing from here, or multiple, including myself, and we've been going since the late 90s. My experience has been pretty good with all the piercers I've had over the years. My most recent piercing here was yesterday when I got my daith pierced. This is one that was a little more painful than some of the others, though not super painful; perhaps close to when I had my navel done. But I think any added pain was because it's going through two parts of the ear instead of just a single poke and done. The staff here is pretty good. They're very friendly and generally pretty helpful in helping you select jewelry, though you may need to ask them to show you all of the jewelry that would work for your selected piercing; I'm not sure why, but they always seem to show me just one or two displays until I tell them to just show me everything that works for the piercing. Their selection of jewelry has significantly improved in the last few years; they've moved past just the hoop with captive bead ring to more high end pieces like stuff from BVLA. That also means that things can get expensive depending upon the jewelry you want. The piercing itself only cost $35, but of course you need to buy the jewelry separately. So far so good; my newest piercing is doing well and looks great. I'm very pleased with it and look forward to coming back again sometime for my next one. This location has a few parking spaces, including a disabled space right in front of the door, but I've never really had a problem parking when I've come here. read more

My experience was top notch with the front desk and my piercer Josh. He was very professional and explained everything he was doing and what to expect when I got pierced and the after care of my piercing. I went in for a cheek dermal, so he first marked to see if that's where I wanted it and I said yes, then got my daughters opinion and my best friends opinion. They both as well as me agreed on the spot. He asked me if I was allergic to iodine as that's what he used to clean my cheek and I said no, so he cleaned it very thoroughly. He then had me lay down, turn my head to the left a little bit and told me to take in a deep breath and on the blow out is when he pierced me. Then he told me he was going to put on the jewelry. He asked me how I was and I was fine, so he sat me up and got some gauze and held pressure on it for a bit because I bled a little, then he put a band aid on it. He had me get off the table to look at it. I was super pleased with the outcome and to be honest, it didn't even hurt, he did a wonderful job. I got it pierced on a Friday and on Sunday I texted them with questions and someone responded very quickly to answer my questions. I was super happy at how clean the shop was. If I could give them 20 stars I would. I highly recommend if you want to get pierced you call to make an appointment and ask for Josh to do it as when he pierced me, it didn't even hurt. My mom and I made an appointment to get our nostrils pierced plus a helix piercing for me. We showed up and the lady at the front desk helped us pick out piercings. She was super helpful and patient while we made our decisions They have enclosed, private piercing areas, and our piercer, Josh, was super sweet. He took his time explaining the piercing and aftercare process and guided us through the whole time. He was incredibly supportive and kind. When we were paying, I begun to go into a small stage of shock and had to sit down. Scheduled an appointment to get the kiddos ears pierced. Super fun shop, good customer service, and they know what they are doing. Not to sound cranky but the music in the piercing room on top of the piercer wearing a mask made it super hard to hear and engage. I'm sure they were saying some important stuff but it was lost. I wish I remembered the name of the piercer who helped me last year, but he was great! The barbell in my helix piercing got caught on something and one of the ends fell off, and so I made a same-day appointment here to get a new piece of jewelry put in. The piercer who helped me was super nice and checked out the piercing before recommending a slightly shorter barbell, which fits my ear better and is less likely to get caught on stuff. He quickly and easily swapped out the jewelry for me, and I'm happy to say my piercing is doing great. (And it doesn't get caught anymore thanks to the size change!) This place has been around for years, and I'm still impressed with the friendliness, professionalism, and careful safety protocols of the staff, and how clean and nice the locations are. Came here to get our daughters ears pierced. They took us in and the guy was so kind and nice our little girl got one done and it took a bit to get her to allow the second one. And really the guy was so nice and so kind it was mind blowing. Clearly he does lots of kids cause after it all there was another little girl waiting. The reason for the 4 stars is mainly cause the place was super clean and so was the guy but his coat had lots of animal hair on it. But he washed is hands many times and only touched her with his gloves on. But really he was amazing. Don't be afraid to bring you kids here. I had jewelry special ordered and waited 6months to receive... when it came it was the wrong size. Now waiting another 6months. I asked staff to call me to let me know what was happening, she didn't. I did so and it turned out that there was a communication breakdown somewhere along the line which was why when I came back I did not get the service I was expecting. After speaking with her I returned and had the stretching done free of charge. Went in to have an old helix piercing (which done at another studio) looked at that I felt just didn't heal right. The staff working explained that as a result of not shortening my bar, the piercing healed at an angle from side sleeping which gave me a lot of insight. Wow! A seriously awesome experience. I took my daughter to get her second earring holes on her birthday. Turns out there's a birthday discount on jewelry! While there I decided, after being slightly peer pressured by my child, to pierce my nose (it's something I've always talked about doing but never actually acted on it). Been a customer for years, from their Lincoln location underground to the new one as well as campus. They have a great selection and very knowledgeable. They do piercings, tattoos and fundraisers! They buildings are always nicely decorated and flow well and the staff is always the best! Some times are busier than others but this visit I was a supportive roll. I got my vertical labret done here by someone named Josh (I think that was his name) and he did amazing. However, I went to get my septum done recently and I was really excited. The piercer's name was Bunny. She was really sweet but completely pierced my nose cartilage rather than the skin you're supposed to pierce. My nose was incredibly sore. The jewelry was way too high and would get lost in my nose when I moved it. My friends were equally confused. She kept trying to pass it off as normal but I think she was able to tell she messed up. They gave me a free repierce but I don't even know if I want to use it because of how disappointed I was with her attempt at a septum. Anyways, really nice person but really sad attempt at a piercing. read more

Communication is how artists turn your ideas into a reality. I will not return to this location, and I will not KEEP recommending it to any one who wants to get tattooed. I should have listened to the reviews about the artist they stuck me with. Mind you, I asked for a touch up on a tattoo I already had done by him, and a very small finger tattoo. I voiced that I was interested in more work, and to possibly have the beginning of my sleeve for a blank arm, drawn up by him. Waited till the night before the appointment to show me what he came up with, then canceled at 2:30 am. Lucky Eugene is full of artists willing to work with you and your ideas. Artist drew up my idea hours before the appointment, and when I voiced what I wanted the beginning of the sleeve to look like l, he told me I was manipulating him. Don't waist your money here. I had to get my piercings removed for an MRI recently and the people at High Priestess were incredibly helpful. I hadn't ever taken them out before and they had no trouble removing the piercings, replacing them, and then replacing them again when I purchased new jewelry a few weeks later. Love this place!!! I had a few piercings done before COVID and wasn't sure what it would be like now but they are just as amazing as they were before just with some extra safety protocols in place. You're still be greeted by the same friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. She wrote down what I wanted and I asked how long the wait was and she said about 30 min. I went in for a double helix and had a small wait, which was understandable since it was a walk in appointment. The person at the counter and the piercer were very friendly and willing to answer any questions. I went in a second time to get my lobe piercings fixed after one hole was closed and the other was lopsided from getting them pierced at the mall when I was really young. I had a different piercer but had the same great experience. The jewelery was a little on the expensive side, but the quality was excellent, so it was worth the extra money. Had an absolutely stellar experience here today! Myself, my husband, and our friend walked in around 1PM to get piercings and a tattoo. We were helped immediately by super friendly staff, and the wait time was super short. Ari did my husband's septum piercing, and our friend's septum and tongue, and he was absolutely phenomenal! My husband is notoriously bad with needles, so Ari made sure to walk him through every step, explain what was happening, and remind him to keep breathing. The whole piercing went super smoothly, and my husband says he probably wouldn't have been able to go through with it had Ari not been so kind and relaxing! I ended up getting a small tattoo, done by Brent Megens. He was also totally awesome and did a fantastic job! He was casual and fun to talk to, but super professional with the actual tattoo. This place is outrageously expensive. $32 for a plain barbell is outlandish. They replaced a barbell for my conch that I had lost on my way up from California. (It's weird that I couldn't just buy the jewelry). The piercer was nice but my conch became inflamed and eventually got infected after her changed it. The piercing is 10 years old, and I've lost the barbell for longer periods in the past. It was only missing for about 20 hours this time around. So I'm not really sure what the shop did. The back of the barbell also fell off 2 days after the fact. I should have just left it out until I got back to CA. This was not a good experience at all. read more

I'll try to keep this as short at I can I met with a tattoo artist by the name of Joshua Hood on 3/27/16. We spoke about what I wanted he asked me for a appointment deposit and we set a date of 4/12/16. He said he would email me a receipt for the downpymnt and a sketch of the tattoo. Text him 8 times before I heard back from him on 4/8/16 which to that all he said was "sorry I went home early yesterday, I'll send you something this weekend" He never sent me a receipt or sketch. Finally on our tattoo date, just a couple hours before our appointment he cancels, which I that point I ask for my money back and he never bothered to reply. So I had to go to his manager Joanne for my money. I Wouldn't Recommend This so called "Tattoo Artist" to anyone. He is shady and extremely unprofessional.
