living near the sea my car takes a beating from the sun and salt. the interior always has sand and dog hair. i'm about about washing it because the self wash brushes scratch it and I don't wanna take it through automated car wash washes. this is the second time Jose is done a full detail and both times the car comes back looking brand new. 2023 Rivian R1S Couldn't be happier and I am considering doing ceramic. read more

Fantastic job by Jose and his buddy, David! I found him on Yelp with his awesome reviews. I called him yesterday; he came over right away, gave me a quote, and came back today to do the work. It was a very minor task - a bicycle had run into my husband's car and the front tire exploded, leaving small splotches of white bicycle tube lubricant stuck on the black wheel well. Because of the insurance claim taking 14 months to settle, the spots were really dried on. Jose and David did the work completely by hand so they would not damage the finish because the wheel well is porous. They used a lot of elbow grease for over an hour. The result is the wheel well is looking brand new. One would never know anything had ever happened to it. My husband and I are both delighted. Jose's quoted price was low for the amount of work he and David ended up doing. When I offered him more, he said, no, that was our agreed-upon price. So I gave him a generous tip as well as David. He does work for very high-end customers, so I was happy he took on our little job, even coming to the house to do it. Jose is a rarity in the business world. He has had a lot of experience, training and education to reach the level he has. And he's very humble - a delight to work with. read more

Jose & Byron just finished detailing two of our cars with ceramic coating. Incredible! Jose' assessed the condition of the paint on both our Tesla & our truck before starting and gave us estimated costs for our options, he then explained & described the differences & helped us decide on a plan and the total price. Ceramic Coating isn't cheap but we're so glad we went for it! I truly appreciated Jose's commitment to delivering excellence in their work product. They showed up on time both days, were very respectful and conscientious about being at our house, and were a pleasure to work with. I never met Jose before this project but I can't recommend High Performance Auto Detail ANY higher! read more

OK, so Jose detailed the interior and cleaned the exterior of my amazingly filthy car back in the summer of 2019. I honestly INTENDED to not let it turn into a rolling kennel again but ... COVID! So for all of 2020 - present, I depended on food delivery services and Amazon, but still had to get my pups to and from the vet, so once again the car was primarily a dog taxi. So when I took it back to Jose last month, I am embarrassed to say, it was once again a mess! You would never know it now! Once again, Jose saved the day. My car's interior is clean and fresh once again. Now we just have to figure out what to do with the exterior, since a "family" of owls has taken up residence in the large eucalyptus that I park under and, let's just say, they drop nearly daily dietary updates on my trunk! Once I get a canopy built to cover my parking area, Jose already has some great, cost-effective suggestions for improving the look of my 20 year old car without breaking the bank. Thanks, as always, Jose! read more

My X3 is not garage kept. It sits in the sun all day, every day. The paint looked dull and dry, the inside was pretty beat up and the headlamps were fogged. It looked pretty bad so I texted Jose. He did an incredible job removing paint overspray a couple years ago so I had no doubt he would do an excellent job. This time he did a thorough detail, ceramic coating and headlamp restoration and my 9 year old X3 looks brand new inside and out. Jose is meticulous, knowledgeable and professional. My car looks perfect and I couldn't be happier with the result. Thank you, Jose! read more

Jose is one of the special guys...those who really understand the science of detailing cars. This is not normal detailing. This is a level above. Don't expect a $20 car wash or an $85 clay wax from Groupon. If you really care about your car...call Jose. I was referred to him by the 'experts' I had used up in Irvine before moving down here and had tried more than a few places - with decent results - before reaching out to Jose. Such a pleasure to meet Jose and to benefit from his years of experience working with classic cars! We have a restored 1971 VW bus and High Performance Auto applied a ceramic coating to help us keep it looking 'new' for years to come. Jose was knowledgeable, kind, and very patient, as he introduced us to all the treatment options and the pros/cons of each. He was easy/fast to schedule and came to our home to do all the work. I'm not sure that these photos do his work justice? Honestly, the bus is so clean and shiny that you see almost see more of the reflection in these photos, than you see his excellent work! He even cleaned up our wheels and removed some rust from our hub caps at no extra charge! We're very happy and we will definitely call High Performance for ongoing care and washes for all of our vehicles. read more

It's a tough job trying to find an auto retailer in Yelp because there are many with 4/5 stars. I am SUPER happy I chose this company. I had an appointment for the afternoon but I still did not have my coffee for that day, and so I was cranky. Thankfully, the owner Jose, met me with a smile was friendly despite my mood. What made me smile was getting to a super clean car. On top of that, Jose took out about a foot long wide and long scrape on my front bumper from my driving into my garage. I truly was surprised that he fixed that for me and was told he actually specializes in paint. Looks like fishing through Yelp for auto detailing companies lead me to the correct choice! While waiting for your car, there is a multitude of things to do to pass the time. Since the location is right on the 101, you can head to the beach, go shopping, or eat / drink at the many eateries surrounding Jose's location. read more

Jose did an amazing job on my car. This was the first time using him but I have used many others in the past and I have never seen quality in a detail like this before. My wife's 2012 black car that hasn't been detailed in five years came out looking like it just came off the showroom. Jose even gave me a short course in how to keep the finish looking good between details along with a list of his recommended products. I can't recommend them highly enough. If I could give them seven or eight stars I would. read more

I honestly don't know how I could possibly bring my car anywhere else, after all of Jose's help! Please, don't pass him up--this has to have been the most thorough detail I've ever had. Jose was amazing! My OCD was getting the best of me today and I needed my new car detailed, ASAP. He and his son (very polite) met me at my house within minutes of our initial call and my car was done within the hour. If I could afford to have them do my car every week, I would. But since I can't, he suggested a great, brushless car wash to go to, until I'm able to have him detail my "Precious" car again. I'd like to know what magic he uses on the windows to make them sparkly clean. Thank you, Jose and son, for the amazing job you did on my car. Jose did excellent work detailing my black Lexus SUV. Admittedly, I hadn't been taking great care of the paint and Jose did a great job of bringing back the shine and reducing the swirls with clay bar treatment. I had found Jose on here because of the reviews and it turned out that all of the five star reviews were accurate! I had just purchased my Ford Raptor and wanted to find someone who could help protect it with an extra coated layer and to also help with some scratches that I found that were there from the dealership. Jose gave me some recommendations and wasn't pushy at all with what he could do for me. I left my truck with him for the day and when I picked it up, I was blown away. The care and detail that he put into it was exactly what I was looking for. I'll continue with him as long as I continue to have cars. He's very honest and the value is definitely worth his reasonable price. When I pulled up to pick up the truck, there was literally a group of people all admiring his work in the parking lot. We started to use Jose's services after we noticed the amazing detail he spent on our neighbors car (and a neighbor who pays high attention to detail and pristine cleanliness). When we bought a new truck, we want to make sure it was in perfect condition and hired Jose for the job. Not only is Jose extremely detailed, taking the time to do the job right, but he makes customer service his number one priority. His business is growing because of his professionalism, the great job he does, his experience, and a solid personality. With our curious seven year old underfoot, Jose was chill in showing him what he was doing, maybe even teaching him a thing or two about his tools. We also appreciate that he comes to us, making it easier for us. Jose and his business are well worth the investment and no doubt you will use them again and again. read more
