Ana has been cutting my hair for the past ten years. I followed her to this salon because she knows how to handle my hair, which is curly and somewhat unmanageable. She gives the best haircut perfectly suited for her individual clients by listening to her clients needs and likes and dislikes. I have never left unsatisfied with her work. She is thorough and a perfectionist making sure that you leave with the haircut that you wanted. She also understands different hair textures and face shapes and is able to match you up with a haircut that is flattering and looks great. I won't let anyone else touch my hair! Also an additional perk is that she works with your schedule and is very flexible in fitting you in and accommodating you even at the last minute. She truly wants to make her clients happy and look and feel beautiful. The salon has a professional staff and they are always friendly. I have had nothing but amazing experiences at High Maintenance. I have been coming here for years, and even travel back here from NYC to get my hair done! I have thick, curly hair and a lot of it - Ana. my stylist, has consistently made my hair look like a supermodel's. I get compliments MONTHS after a cut (which, as my curly haired friends know, is almost to good to be true). Most recently. Ana gave me a mild Keratin process; I was nervous but I trust her, and she was right on the money! My hair has been beautiful all summer long. As for all the other amenities - I get my eyebrows waxed here, as well, and have always received top of the line mani/pedis. Cat at the front desk is always organized and always manages to find the perfect times to fit me in! There's a reason High Maintenance is so busy all the time - it is WONDERFUL! Just got back from High Maintenance Salon in Oakhurst and I could not be happier with my new hair cut and color! Everyone at the salon was very friendly and upbeat. I went in expecting to get whole-head highlights since that's what my old hairdresser always told me I needed. In the past, highlights would cost me over $200 and would take at least 2 hours. It was such a thrill to meet Jackie at High Maintenance who was honest and revealed that half-head highlights would give me the same results. My hair appointment was fast and inexpensive ($65 before tip!) and I love the way my hair came out. I would definitely recommend the salon! (Also, it was great to find a place that stays open late - my appointment was at 7:30 pm, so I didn't have to leave work early or go on the weekend. I just read the 1 bad review on the side bar and am lmao! It is so obviously written from someone at a rival salon. High Maintenance is very down to earth, mainly because the owner is a classy down to earth person herself. I get my hair done every 4-6 weeks and am treated the same as someone who goes every week. Everyone who works there is very talented and every customer who walks out looks fabulous! I am constantly asked where I get my hair done and who does my hair, even when I'm due for a cut. Ana is spot on! I LOVE her!!! As for the valet, it is just a very considerate service for the customers because there is limited parking behind the building. Can't say enough wonderful things about High Maintenance Salon. I recommend you try going there! read more

The new location has valet and the staff is always friendly and knows my name (even when I haven't been in for a lengthy amount of time). I feel that the services they provide and staff are on point and they are ahead of other salons in having professional experience. I have been going to Keira for over 15 years and do not trust anyone else touching my hair. I always trust her to give me a new style that is easy to maintain. I receive compliments on my hair and style ALL the time! I would recommend this salon and stylist to everyone. I cannot wait to see the place after they finish renovating the Oakhurst location. I have been going to High Maintenance for a couple years now, and love it! The salon atmosphere is very friendly, positive and energetic! I have been going to Ana for highlights, haircuts and blow outs! She is a very talented artist! My hair is very fine and straight. She is able to cut my fly away pieces just the way I ask her to. When Ana highlights my hair, she gives me the most natural look! Most importantly my blow outs- Ana gives my hair so much volume, something my hair really lacks! Three years ago I followed my expert hair stylist Jen Coppola to High Maintenance and was treated in a friendly and professional way. The staff immediately made me feel at home and made the transition to a new salon quite comfortable. I have never had trouble scheduling an appointment and they are always accommodating if I need any special scheduling or change.
