We were very impressed with the installers, Jonah, Jose and Will, who did a superb job with installations. They were very meticulous and careful, paying close attention to all details. I was asked if I still wanted this machine, but NO I did not. The offer was to deliver it and then set up a repair date. I have dislocated shoulder, but now I am off to a laudromat to do three weeks worth of wash. I wanted to support local business, but this business is very unreliable and wanted to scam me into buying a defective machine. NO apologies, nothing - just deal with our incompetance. No offer either to take money off the machine or apologize and give me a 100-200 credit on a new machine. A good business practice would be to do that. Colton was very rude and I think at 3:45 when I received the call about the machine, they just wanted to leave. Horrible customer service. Again, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!

It has worked strangely from the beginning, turning off for seemingly no reason at times. Then last weekend, the stove top stopped working altogether. This stove top has a glass top sealed over a circuit board. Nevertheless, Portland electric claims there must have been a gallon or more spilled because ... and this is key... they have never seen this happen before. The repair is over 1000$, 65% the cost of a new oven that is electric. They talked us into buying induction and are now saying that a 1000 repair required in year 4 of its life is our fault. So the extra money you pay for appliances here now gets you worse service than the discounted big box stores. The individuals are also quite rude. If you are a woman, expect the folks at Portland Electric to talk over you when you call and essentially ignore you. This store is not going to stay opened much longer. The people who work there have literally said they do not care about losing us as customers point blank. That is who you are dealing with.

The company has adopted the tech to keep in touch with their customers which makes planning an appointment and the arrival of the work person an excellent experience for the customer. Today I worked with Matt and Giacomo (John) and was not at all surprised that they worked neatly and efficiently. We had them run ethernet cable and remove a EcoFlow product. He proceeds to tell me that they came out last year for a quote I corrected him cuz it was not last year . And then he very aggressively said well you're going to get it done this time though right ? Which already brought me the wrong way . Then he's asking me a bunch of questions about why I'm getting my boiler replaced and it's like dude just tell me how much the replacement is going to be that's all I want to know like you're here to give me a number not an interrogation. Hey then proceeds to ask me when I plan to get it done and I told him 30 days . His response was well why not today . Considering he came in a hatchback I didn't think he was equipped to come to do the job today but I wanted to get it done in 30 days . So I just repeat no 30 days because at this point I am getting frustrated with him . So he repeats why not today . So I hand him his business card back and apologize for him having to come all the way out here and asked him to leave . He tried to give me his card back after I just handed it back to him and asked him to leave and wanted to continue the conversation. I had to basically walk him to his car . My business is not his business I said 30 days I have nobody else that came to give me a quote was so intrusive or invasive and I don't know if it was because he's trying to sell me something or because I'm a woman but it immediately put me off and made me feel very uncomfortable. Thankfully I was able to find a company who can come out when I need them to come out for $3,000 less than their old quote was from 2 years ago . So if you want to be interrogated and overcharged then I guess this is the company for you .
