Went for a happy hour after work and I loved the ambiance! Dark and cozy with a speakeasy vibe…read more Once I entered it was easy to forget it was still sunny and hot outside. The menu was listed as cast of characters/script, which was lots of fun. Our group was about 20 people, which I'm sure was a challenge, but our server was great and kept us all with full glasses and no waiting. There is a small parking lot with free parking. It was full by the time I got there, but it was easy and free to park on the street nearby. They had a great selection of local beer, wine and creative cocktails. Didn't really try the food but the drinks were great. Would definitely go back!

When you go in the entrance the bar is to the left and is now kinda of a speakeasy. It's dark, nicely done, music playing and fancy cocktails being made. They don't have a huge menu but you can get some appetizers, sandwiches, etc. We had some non traditional nachos which were very good. The service was also very good. When we left the bar, I checked out the restaurant that was to the right when you walked into the front door of the Copper Lounge. It's has a very nice ambiance and it's not dark like the bar was next door. Don't have any other info on it but looked very nice. I would recommend checking these places out if you are looking for something very different from the usual places.

The atmosphere was stunning, intimate, relaxed, and with wonderful views. Being seated toward the back gave us an uninterrupted view of the setting sun, which made the whole experience feel memorable. Since we had already eaten dinner, we kept it light and ordered the mezze charcuterie board along with a few drinks. Both alcoholic and non, the drinks were well made! The food was also just right for our appetite, a few dips, some veggies, and a little spanakopita. They may rotate some of the selections seasonally, so it may be different in the future. Service was wonderful, and we never felt rushed in our time there. The design was beautiful and they let the scenery do a lot of the talking. It's definitely intentionally designed for hanging out. Most of the food menu is little bites, and they do have mocktails for those who don't drink much. It was a beautiful experience and I would absolutely come here again if we lived in the area!

When I arrived, I originally wanted to visit the restaurant, which was closed for the week due to a family emergency. So I presented to the open seating bar. Was ignored a long time. Got up to go to the bar and someone else stole my table. Took a long time to be acknowledged by the bar tender and finally made an order. Took quite a while to get it. Things got better when a bar seat opened up and I moved to the bar. But keep in mind, a different bar tender pretty much took over and kept my drinks flowing. That first bar tender could not hang, demonstrating poor time management skills and appeared to be moving slowly. The second bar tender, I think his name is Hector, really turned things around for me. I visited Secreto (another hotel based outfit, in the Hotel St. Francis) because they are supposed to be a "cocktail experience," boasting "garden to glass" cocktails. Dark wood and southwestern palate for decor. I had: Smoked sage margarita: flagship drink, smoked washed premium margarita (super herbal) Ghost ranch reverie: Tequila with peach, apricot shrub, lemon, seltzer, smoked rosemary (light, not too sweet, an "homage to the passionate artists of the southwest) Madonna of the Mesa: tequila blanco, pomegranate, mouth herbs, lemon, rose water (soft and balanced) Secret garden: basil infused gin gimlet with lime and chomilre infused honey. "Botanical crispiness meets honeyed serenity." I liked the basil, but the honey wasn't my thing. But a good cocktail. Again, drinks were good. On a Thursday afternoon, it was initially crowded and the initial service was terrible. But Hector saved the day.

We thoroughly enjoyed spending an hour here prior to dinner…read more 'The cocktails were inventive (lots of smoke and infusions) and the surroundings were pleasant. I have chronic sleep issues and cbd has usually helped me. I found a new place I've never seen…read morebefore really close to where I work, and I decided to pay them a visit. As you pull up you see a beautiful new shop that opened with dope looking tables and chairs that have custom leaf logos, and the while inside looks custom designed it doesn't seem cookie cutter, so it shows they took pride in this new shop. I walked in to green everywhere, I think I was getting high just by looking around haha. The managers Of the store told me they just opened a week ago and they are still expanding their selections of products but I saw some really neat stuff I did decide to buy. I got the chico bite cbd chocolate, it was super tasty and really hit the spot. I also saw cbd for pets! So unique, I picked one up to see if it really works on the little furry beasts at home. The guy that helped me was Dominic, and he was super helpful, and showed me all the products and asked what I was looking for and explained their choices well. It's a cannabis dispensary that mostly serves top shelf thc products, pre rolls etc, but they have some cool products for sleep and relaxation that I personally went there to get. Another cool thing they told me is they are about to open up a consumption lounge and you'll be able to hang out, play games (which I saw they already had setup at the tables), and spend some high times with your friends hahaha. The experience was great and I would highly recommend this business to anyone!

Our son wanted to take us here for an early Mother's Day dinner and I have to say I was surprised…read moreat how good the food was! I wasn't expecting it to look so pretty and taste so good! Dorothea's is a nice white table cloth restaurant that feels upscale but still homey enough to bring our soon to be 2 yo grandson. We had: Steamed clams 5/5: The clams were prepared, presented and flavored well. There were 2 clams that didn't open so it would have been nice if they just removed them instead of tempting us to pry them open (which would be bad clams) but the other clams were so good we wanted to open them! The sauce was a little too wine-y for me but I can see how some people would enjoy dipping the bread they give you into it. Crab mac and cheese 5/5: Wow. The bechamel sauce was so rich and creamy! Good chunks of crab made this mac and cheese so decadent! Greek salad 4/5: This was fresh and tasty but I was a little surprised by how small the salad was considering all the other dishes have such an amazing price point! It would serve once person well. Lobster pasta 5/5: Nice spicy kick that hits you later. Good chunks of lobster and the pasta was so light! I forgot to ask if it was fresh pasta or not. Maybe a question for our next visit! Niko gyro 5/5: the meat was good but what made it amazing was all those nice shoestring fries on top! The fries also had some kind of spicy pepper on top that gives it the extra kick! Traditional gyro 4/5: This was just your traditional gyro with fries. It's good but it doesn't seem fancy! Overall I love this place! The price point is amazing and if we have the time I would definitely like to come again with the family. The service was great with our waiter David filling our water glasses without us having to ask. He also cleared the table and was easy to talk to. Love this place!

Overall: Dorothea has decent food but there are definitely better restaurants in Albuquerque. What…read moresets it apart is the ambiance. Food: 3.5 We ordered just about appetizer on the menu. My favorite were the little neck clams, lamb lollipop, and Greek plate. The Saganaki, crab stack, and tiropita were just okay. Lamb Shank: This was one of the best entrees ordered. The meat was fall apart tender and flavorful. The orzo was a little watery but was cooked to the correct doneness. Branzino: I assumed that this would be a whole branzino fish but they had already taken it apart which was nice. However, there were a couple of bones that were missed. Crab Mac: This was cheesy and very good. My only grip is that the pasta was a little overcooked. Service: 5 The servers were patient with all the questions and orders from a big group. They did not make any mistakes and food came out at good intervals. Ambiance: 5 The restaurant would be perfect for a date night. It wasn't too noisy and offered a little privacy between tables.
