My wife bought a groupon for this company for our anniversary…read more My wife scheduled a ride for Her, I and our 2 kiddos for June 9th, 2019. We drove an hour and a half to get to the place and we of course showed up an hour early, met with Mike one of the wranglers and he invited us to take a stroll while we waited for our ride, we did all the paperwork and got the kids helmets picked out, went for a beautiful walk and returned for our ride. Sadly Mike almost in tears says we were not on his schedule, said it happens quite often and hes left as the face to be the bad guy, we tried calling the office line but no answer, we were turned away to drive an hour and a half back home, great anniversary right? So not a single call from anyone in the office to appologize for the error, we contacted Groupon and got a full refund but still, not even an apology from the company for basically ruining our planned anniversary! Mike was great and it wasnt his fault clearly and the fact he got emotional made it all the easier to walk away friendly even tho my wife was really upset and my kids disheartened. I sure hope this company has more people like Mike and realizes they have very poor customer service to at least reach out to a customer and apologize for the inconvenience but I guess they just dont care. I wont ever schedule with this company again, and surely wont ever recommend them to anyone because of this situation. I'd recommend people to just go a few miles to Estes park and visit with Sombrero rather than deal with this irresponsible company. Thanks again Mike for your empathy and I hope you have nothing but great rides and the very best in life, you clearly deserve a great life.

My daughter is an experienced rider and she enjoyed it. I was simply along for the ride. We had to change our day and time due to an injury, but were so accommodating and changed everything for us. No fuss about the change. You don't see service like that anymore. The trail is along a path and you get as far as your time allows. We didn't get too far because we had some slow riders. I would highly recommend the for beginners. If you have a larger group you'll have better luck at setting the pace and get farther along the path. It's not the guides fault if folks are slow. Keep that in mind when going. Be on time as this activity starts at the parking lot of the head of a trail. We enjoys the horses and the guides.

We requested the prorated balance of our funds returned, the trainer or stable refused to find an alternative space for the filly. Now the filly is injured and cannot return to the group pen. I've tried to suggest multiple different alternatives, now we are subject to next steps. Our filly was at the stable specifically for training, 2nd day we received a call from Ms. Hug and we are calling the vet for an emergency for colic. It ended up being a hematoma from being kicked by another horse, mind you this filly has never colic in her life. A couple days later Ms. Hug said the filly could not be worked outside pen and the farrier needed to trim her feet inside the group run, meanwhile my inexperienced husband has her outside the pen with the farrier doing her feet without a problem. Present condition on day (4) she has a new hematoma on her other shoulder, her eye is wounded, covered in bite marks, she scalped all the hair on the inside of the back of her leg. At this time I tried to work with Lucas (barn owner) and Ms. Hug to find a new spot. Lucas told me there was no other option, but we were first on the list. Day 10, I meet Lucas (barn owner) in-person, he apologized that the filly had lost so much weight, at this time the filly had lost at least 40 pounds. Lucas told me he was now supplementing her feed with some alfalfa. On this date the filly had opened up her back leg at some point and cut through her flexor tendon, she was also lame on her front shoulder. We took her to the vet again, mind you she's only been there for 10 days. Due to so many injuries in such a short amount of time, it was recommended by our vet we take her home until better accommodations can be made. I messaged both parties, asking again for an alternate stable options, bringing her back at a later time, lessons, haul-in, or working with her at our home. The answer was "no", and since we didn't provide a 30 day notice they won't prorate the services either. I assume by the way we were treated this isn't the first time this has happened with Ariel Hug or Mountain View Stables. It's an overall disheartening situation, and we expected better.

I visited Lory State Park for the first time today. Daily admission fee is $10.00…read more If you have the annual parks pass from registration renewal, there is no need to get a paper pass or placard from the Visitors Center to put in your car or hang on the rear view mirror. Your car license plates are sufficient. Park Rangers will check your plates to ensure you have the annual pass. The gentleman (volunteer) at the Visitors Center shared this information with me. I loved that he had a good sense of humor and was personable. We shared some good laughs together. I recommend going inside the Visitors Center to check out their wildlife display and to get helpful information for your visit to the park. There is also a small gift shop area to purchase books, maps and souvenirs. Staff will give you a free map of the park. There is also public restrooms at the Visitors Center. There is also a nice telescope inside the Visitors Center and a nice viewing deck with historical signage. I always enjoy reading this information for its historical value. I always learn something new. The roads in the park are all dirt so plan ahead for washing your car later. There are various parking lots to park your car before wandering off on trails. There are a lot of lovely views around. Have your camera or phone ready to take those landscape or perhaps wildlife photos. I didn't see any wildlife in the park today. I would've hiked various trails but I've been recovering from some injuries. Next time! I would love to return here. I very much enjoyed my visit to Lory Park. If you haven't been here, visit before the next snowfall! The weather was nice today so I felt fortunate. So glad I stopped here.

Lory is a lovely state park that is close to fort collins. If you have a state park pass you can…read morecome and go as often as you would like. I believe the current cost of a pass is $90 for a year or $9 for a day pass. however starting in 2023 from what i have seen, the state plans on tacking on a $29 fee to our license plates and then you will get a state park pass. (before the people come that get upset about this, there is supposed to be an option to opt out. though i think it is amazing deal and we should all want to support our state parks) This park has something for everyone from easy to moderate trails, trails available for use by horses and also mountain bikes. People also come out here to snow shoe or cross country ski when conditions allow. They do actively update closures on both facebook and cotrex. So if there has been rain or snow give those sources a look to see what the scoop is. However, arthurs and mill creek do not tend to close. Do not ever leave valuables in the car. Do not hide them. Bring with you anything you care about. Lory unfortunately falls prey to thieves many times and throughout the year. There are not parking lot cameras. The thieves are pros and know what they are doing. They will frequently bust a lock which is not as noticable as a broken window. Please just dont give them anything to take. Do not leave your stuff in the car. If you need your wallet put it in your pack. Or just put a license and credit card in your pack and leave the rest at home. Dont leave your phone in the car or any electronics. Literally do not leave anything of any sort of value in your car. I had someone break into my car once because i left a phone charging cord in view. There was nothing else in my car just that cord. If you do not want to be on a more crowded trail avoid arthurs and wells. Both of those tend to have a lot of people especially on the weekend. Have seen mostly deer out on the trails in this area. One time i did see a big bear out and about though! so you never know what you might come across.

It was 3 of us, including my 8-year-old son, and the conditions couldn't have been better--just a little snow, some mud, and plenty of opportunities for big splashes (which my son absolutely loved). We did a 5-hour rental, which felt like the perfect amount of time to explore without feeling rushed. The equipment was in great shape, and even the truck used to haul the ATV and trailer to the trailhead was well-maintained--everything felt professional and dialed in. The team really made the experience stand out. Everyone we interacted with was fantastic, and Andrew in particular was a superstar--he handled both checkout and check-in, made everything easy, and clearly cares about making sure customers have a great time. We'll definitely be back, especially to experience the trails in full snow. Highly recommend all around.

Everyone working here was friendly, informative, knowledgeable, and provided excellent recommendations for what trail to choose. They suggested we log in to CoTrex so we had access to the off road trail, which was very helpful. They also had us scan a QR code with directions to the trail, which made the whole process very seamless. We got a side by side for 3 hours and went to Pole Hill. It was a lot of fun. The trails were great and it also had amazing views! We also saw a fox on the trail. You can tell that everyone working there loves the outdoors and that they all truly care about giving all their customers an amazing experience! Highly recommend this place!
