Following the root canal, the veneered tooth was even more sensitive. Being that I needed a crown (not on my head) but on the tooth, and being new to the area and not knowing anyone, I felt somewhat overwhelmed. After making several phone calls and doing my due diligence in researching all possibilities, it was my good fortune to have found Dr. Fergus at Wisener, Cooper & Fergus Dental Clinic. From the get-go in making the appointment I felt welcomed and appreciated the effort that was taken in double checking my insurance coverage and clearly going over the protocol with me. Upon check-in, I could tell this was a professional and well-organized clinic. Dr. Fergus immediately solved the minor issue with the veneer tooth that most probably didn't need a root canal in the first place. For years other dentists had overlooked and had not noticed the veneer was too long and had been hitting on the above tooth causing pain. He simply filed it down and I can already tell the difference. Dr. Fergus prepped the tooth that needed to be crowned. What a huge difference from the experience I'd had from previous other dentists. Rebecca was so patient and did a great job with my x-rays. Alicia who did my teeth cleaning is the best. Both technicians took their time and this by far was the very best and thorough teeth cleaning I'd ever had. As a senior and having had much work done on my teeth, they are not in the best cosmetic state. I appreciated that Dr. Fergus and his staff did not try to upsell me on dental cosmetic procedures (which I could of course use.) They addressed the issue at hand. I was a new patient (and from out of the area) and therefore I expected the typical routine of having to go through a full examine, consultation, x-rays, etc. This is what usually causes me to 'put-off' going to the Dentist. Although I understand the necessity, sometimes I feel it's just a bit much and overwhelming. I had a small need/concern with my tooth and Robert Hodous took me right in, addressed and fixed the problem. That left me having to go to the Endo to have them correct it. One time Dr Black was going to do a root canal and a filling to the tooth right next to the infected one. Instead of waiting until I had been on antibotics for a few days he went ahead and did the filling. The infection spread which caused my face to swell and droop. They had me go to the oral surgeon as soon as they seen me to have it removed. Too many mistakes and second chances given. After Janis left, the girls in the front have not been the best. Janis was amazing! One of the girls were so rude to me and judgy I had stopped going for a bit because of how she made me feel. Finally went back and they are now charging me for things that my insurance pays for 100%. When I called to inquire as to why, Rachel was rude and disrespectful. Talking over me/ cutting me off and made it clear I was not happy with how it was going. She did not seem to even care. My husband and I will not be back.
