Salmon deviled egg at top, pork belly deviled egg below.

Loved this place! We had a large group and the Hideaway gladly accommodated us with a reservation. Our waiter (Jordan?) was great - funny, welcoming, and attentive. Ambiance was super cute! Drinks were great all around. I especially liked their old fashioned. We got both the salmon and pork belly deviled eggs and both were delicious! If I had to pick a favorite though, I'd actually go with the salmon. We also got the burnt ends, which weren't really burnt, and the okra which was a surprise hit. For dinner I had the house salad with steak and it was delicious. Outside, a band had started and a very mixed age crowd was dancing and having fun. It looked like a great time!

I flew in from San Diego, and my parents picked me up so we could come here for dinner. They had a great live band playing, but I was surprised they charged $10 just to sit on the patio and listen to the music--it felt a bit excessive. We opted to sit inside, where there was only one other couple. The atmosphere was quiet and a little chilly. For appetizers, we ordered the Brussels sprouts and the burnt ends pork belly. The pork belly was excellent--rich and flavorful. The Brussels sprouts had good flavor too, though they were a bit heavy on the sauce. I ordered the steak frites, which I enjoyed. The thin-cut French fries were especially good, and the aïoli added a nice touch. Our server was very friendly, offered great recommendations, and provided attentive service throughout the meal.

C'est magnifique!!!!! I visited Lafayette for the first time last weekend and checked my Yelp for some suggestions on where to go. Not much is open around here on Sunday's or Monday's- but the Hideaway on Lee is!! We showed up around 8pm on Sunday evening for dinner- and the place was packed! We were surprised to see that they had live music that night, and unfortunately there was a $10 cover per person if we wanted to sit outside. It was hot and humid thaf night so we ended up sitting inside and did not have to pay the extra money. I have to say- our dinner here was EXCELLENT. The specialty cocktails were amazing. The "Orange Blossom Special" was literally the best smelling drink I have ever tried.... IN MY LIFE. I know that's a strange thing to say- but I literally could not stop picking up my glass and smelling my drink! We started up our dinner, sharing the Poutine. Fresh cut fries soaked in a flavorful gravy, covered with cheese curds. For our entrees I ordered "Tante Jane's Salad" and added chicken. The veggies were all fresh, the dressing was light and flavorful and the chicken was juicy and well seasoned. My boyfriend ordered the Steak Frites, but unfortunately they were out of it- so he ended up getting the "cut of the day" steak. I'm not sure what cut it ended up being- but it was perfectly cooked- tender and juicy. Being our greedy selves, we also ordered a bowl of the tomato soup- It was excellent. All in all- the experience here was great. The service was fast, the employees were all nice and helpful, and the food was all prepared perfectly. Also, I have to say that the band outside was great too! There were a handful of couples outside dancing to the music. The atmosphere here is lively!! I would return!

Came here with a group of friends and this place was literally a hide away since I couldn't even find the location. If you do get a chance to come here, I suggest ordering the smokestack lightning burger and poutine fries 1. jalapeño lena $7 cream cheese, jalapeño pepper jelly, bread & butter jalapeño, served with crackers. It was delicious, but I wish the appetizer came with more crackers for serving. 2. smokestack lightnin' $9 smash burger, sharp cheddar, onion rings, bacon and house made bbq sauce. If you had the Texas rodeo burger from burger King before; this is like a steroid upgrade version of it. 3. poutine $8 cheddar cheese curds, house made gravy. Indeed different but this poutine stole the show for me! You just have to try it 4. aioli blon fries $7 (v) truffle aioli, swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms. If you love a cheese skirt with delicious mushrooms served with fries, you gotta try this. 5. hideaway special $7 (v) swiss cheese, sauteed onions, bread & butter jalapenos, special sauce. Savory spicy fries that are on point. 6. Leadbelly $9 slow smoked pork belly, cucumber, carrots, spring mix, bread & butter jalapenos. I didn't get to try it but my friend said it was decent. 7. beignets $4.5 (ve). Good but simple beignets, as it should be.

Hideaway on Lee is a hidden gem! The food and service never disappoint. If you can catch an evening with live music you will be swept off your feet with the charm of this restaurant. The staff have always been so kind and provide the best recommendations. Our waiter Randy was wonderful! The staff seem happy to be at work and enjoy their jobs. The following are some of my family's favorite items: Brussel Sprouts, Pepper Jelly & Cream Cheese, Mexi Cali burger or grilled chicken, Tuna Steak Salad, & all the cocktails are amazing! The restaurant & bathrooms are clean. The landscaping is lovely and well manicured.

Great burgers finally seasoned patties. Soft fresh buns great patties with fresh toppings. The brussel sprouts were great smoky tasso with a sirachi mayo. The onion ring had a beer batter crunchy and satisfying. The poutine was ok my gf really enjoyed it it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Do I recommend this place you ask?…read more Well, seeing as how we hit it at least once or twice a month you could say it's our approved list of eateries in the Lafayette area. I've been here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night munchies. It's always been top notch. The kitchen is always busy, but the service is timely. This is my go to place for the perfect Reuben sandwich! It's also my go to place when I'm craving a hamburger steak, or meatloaf, or just about anything else on their menu! But that Popeye's omelette is tops on my breakfast list! The diner setting is a throwback to the 50s and 60s, so if you're into chrome and formica this is your place! It's actually kind of cozy, and the servers have always been friendly, even when they're in a frenzy!

My husband and I ordered the cheeseburger omelet and Big Mike special, two dishes that both included well-seasoned and high quality angus beef. My cheeseburger omelet in particular was absolutely delicious--a medley of beef, onions, mushrooms, peppers and cheddar cheese. The biscuits, on the other hand, were grainy and glazed with sweet butter, and ultimately a menu item that we really didn't care for. They also lacked structural integrity, and appeared to be lacking a crispy and buttery exterior. Biscuits aside, we loved all the other side options and we want to go back to try the fried green tomatoes and fried jalapeños.

My friend and I both loved the grits, as it was hot, buttery, and laced with pieces of corn kernels. We also really enjoyed the fluffy biscuits, warm beignets, and sticky cinnamon rolls. Usually cinnamon rolls tend to be too dry but the one at Parish was super moist and smothered in that ooey gooey cream cheese icing. I also appreciate the option to customize and swipe out sausage meats and veggies. Case in point, I was able to get the eggs benedict with turkey sausage instead of ham. Even though there is a bit of a line at the door, the meals come out fast and hot once your order does get placed. The drinks were pretty standard but my friend really enjoyed his espresso martini and my Paloma mimosa was sweet and packed with flavor. All in all, I really enjoyed every dish and I can't wait to come back and try more things!

We're used to chicken shawarma--a Middle Eastern favorite, with marinated chicken broiled on a vertical brazier and packed with bold, earthy spices. But today, we were introduced to the Greek version: chicken gyro--herby, tender, juicy, and finished with just the right crispy edges. We waited a little extra for the chicken to broil, and it was totally worth it. The housemade red chile sauce added just the right splash of tangy heat to the chicken and faded before it got too hot. The housemade pita bread was soft, warm, and fresh--the perfect scoop for the housemade hummus and tangy, housemade tzatziki. The feta salad was crisp and balanced, dressed lightly with olive oil. We wrapped it all up with flaky, just-sweet-enough baklava (which was not housemade, but still delicious). The atmosphere felt like fine Mediterranean dining--just served up with the speed and ease of your favorite neighborhood spot. Cozy, relaxed, and spotlessly clean. We also saw a steady stream of to-go orders during our visit, which tells you locals already know how good this place is. Another couple dining nearby smiled from ear-to-ear when they heard our praise--they've followed "Moose", the owner, from location to location for years. That kind of loyalty says a lot. Moose and his friendly staff made us feel right at home and clearly took genuine pleasure in hearing how much we enjoyed our visit. We're honestly a little jealous of our Lafayette friends who get to enjoy Zorbas regularly! Zorbas isn't just a great meal--it's a warm, welcoming experience. We'll be back. With friends.
