When I finally went to the counter and asked if we could get our food was told "It's not my job to serve food". I had to ask to be given the food and brought it to our table myself. The pork porterhouse was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. My only minor critique was that the mint on the zucchini was a little stronger than my personal preference. Overall, it's not quite a 5-star experience for me because a few menu items don't quite justify their price. Even so, the attention to detail in both the food and service really stood out. Vestal is a beautiful restaurant, and it's one we'll happily return to whenever we're in the Lafayette area.
