This being a roadtrip this time around I took advantage of the full kitchen versus using my camp stove. With both fructose and lactose malabsorption it's very comforting to cook for myself. And having access to a full kitchen allowed me to make a rice and steak dinner and then in the morning make a cup of rice for the road, plus hard boil chicken and duck eggs I gathered the day prior. The duck eggs were fantastic! Just like in 2023, the Cajun jam night on Wednesday didn't disappoint. Such great music and wonderfully friendly people. One experience I was hoping to relive from 2023 was the ghost encounter in the balcony room; ghost sat on my feet! Unfortunately this go around in 2026, no ghost experience so just be aware there is a spirit, albeit a friendly spirit, inhabiting the Blue Moon. This isn't just a place to stay but a place to experience. We look forward to coming back.

They come with chips also but you don't really need fries unless you're a big eater. The covered outdoor seating area is nice also. Adopted Dog is dog focused and makes solid beer with good food. If you don't like beer, you can still eat good food in a good atmosphere. If you don't like beer and don't like dogs, you may be out of luck. The beer. I have only been here a couple of times so I have not ventured too far into their beer offerings. I have had three different styles and all ranged from good to very good. The food. Cheese curds - get the sampler platter. Three different types of cheese curds that are lightly fried and totally good. Who knew fried cheese curds could be delicious? I guess the Wisconsin people and Canadians but now you know too. Brussel sprouts - Just get them. Crispy and tasty is all you need to know. Smash burger - If you like smash burgers, you will like this one. I don't (i prefer a thick patty), so it was fine, but again, not my preference. The outside area is very cool. While there are long tables, games, and TVs, there are also Adirondack chairs. The next day my friend & I go, we have 1 round then the bartender cuts my friend off for no reason despite only having 1 drink and kicks him out for being black. He was the only person of color in the bar. To make matters worse she then charged an unauthorized $10 tip to his card. This bar is horrible, I went back for nostalgia but will never go again
