If you're not stopping at Hidden Wit Brewing Co., you're doing life wrong. This place is an absolute gem, and quite literally the best brewery food I've ever had the pleasure of inhaling. Let's start with the food, because yes--we came for the beer, but STAYED for the grilled cheese from heaven. I ordered the adult grilled cheese and it was everything: garlic, bacon, mozzarella, provolone, cheddar... all hugged by golden, homemade sourdough. Fries on the side, beer cheese as my bonus dip (no shame in my cheese game), and you bet I dunked every bite. No regrets. Game. Changed. My boyfriend got their version of a Philly cheesesteak, and it was fully loaded, with extra cheese baked on top like a beautiful gooey crown. Let's just say neither plate stood a chance--food coma unlocked. Now to the beer--small but mighty selection. I fell in love with the Inner Vixen Strawberry Blonde--crisp, clean, with just the right kiss of strawberry. My boyfriend was all about the Moseley Sands NE IPA, and we both obsessed over the branding of the Tod & Copper Red Ale (yes, like The Fox and the Hound and yes, it was adorable and totally drinkable). Now for the service--truly as impressive as the food. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly pair of hostesses, and there seemed to be staff everywhere, all happily helping out across the floor. We sat at a high-top near the bar and were looked after by two bartenders who were attentive, polite, and genuinely friendly. Waters stayed full, orders came quickly, and we never had to flag anyone down. That kind of attentive service just adds to the whole experience and kept the good vibes flowing from start to finish. The space is huge--two big indoor areas, a spacious bar, and a massive outdoor setup that screams live music, events, weddings, you name it. It's family-friendly too, and you can just tell this place is a local favorite with serious soul. We randomly stopped here on a road trip and now I'm scheming how to get back to the Richmond area just for another grilled cheese-beer-cheesesteak moment. Hidden Wit, you are anything but hidden now... because I will be telling EVERYONE.

Above the bar and on the other side of the wall is the room where the beers are in tall holding tanks.

First time here with friends! A simple menu with tasty apps & entrees. Good selection of drinks both non-alcoholic and of course beer. Today was 90s theme and there was activities outside with a lot of families and children toddling around. A few tvs decorated the walls to keep up with sport. Two dining areas and two sets of restrooms. Its a very calm neutral atmosphere with friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff.

This was only our second time at Hidden Wit, which I'm honestly surprised at. I love that it's out of the way and away from all the hustle (at least for now). We have our dogs with us whenever we can. Both times we've been here the pups have been with us & welcomed outdoors. The back outdoor seating is very accommodating with some under cover. It's nice to come here and see families enjoying the space & see the children playing. Their menu choices seem to offer something for everyone. This time my Wife and I split the Beer Cheese/Soft Pretzels and the Nashville Chicken. Last time we had the Fish and Chips. All food has come out hot and exceeded the description on the menu in appearance and taste. We both really liked the Black Garlic Dijon with the Pretzels & Cheese. The beer choices look to change often enough to offer something new to try with each visit and the service both times has been friendly & attentive.

Hidden wit is a great hangout spot. The food is really good however, I would not recommend the grilled cheese. Mine was a little overdone. My husband said the cheesesteak was phenomenal! The only downside we have run into is during the times we have been there, we have experienced the servers are no where to be found after we get our food so, plan on staying there for at least 2 hours. Overall, the food and environment are great. I'm excited to visit for their weeknight events.

Loved everything about our experience: food, atmosphere, service! The sliders appetizer was delicious, and so was my fish and chips, just wish the portion was a bit bigger. The Hidden Wit sauce (I think that's the name) was so goood. Great beer selection, the signature Hidden Wit was very good, and so was the Strawberry Blonde. Highly recommend!

Long Island Iced Tea. Delish! Not your run of the mill bar/brewery food. Whoever is in that kitchen knows what they are doing.

Everything.. it's become our favorite watering hole. Food:100% above most of the restaurants in the area. Hubby says beer is great.. I have enjoyed several of the specialty drinks on the menu: love them all. Service is always top-notch.. friendly and knowledgeable. Fun atmosphere.. will have to wait until the weather cools off before we venture outside, which BTW is a good time waiting to happen. Live music, markets, pop up camps by Burn Woodlake. Seriously, I might move in.

Not to be outfoxed, this hidden brewery is pretty cool. Newly opened, it's obvious the owners put a lot of thought in the design of the place. It's a huge space with a restaurant with TVs, a bar, foyer, and huge event room, plus an expansive outdoor patio with plenty of seating. The view is lovely, and you are surrounded by lush woods. They have outdoor games, fire pits, and cozy nooks to enjoy some brew time. Speaking of the brews, I think that they will get better with time. The guys in our group weren't crazy about the beer, but I had a light Pilsner and I found it refreshing. The food was great! My friends had a crab concoction that they devoured along with some roasted Brussels sprouts. We had burgers with skinny fries (the fries were good but super salty). The burger was delicious! This pet-friendly spot will definitely be a popular destination for families, friends, and anyone who is looking for a fun hang!

Popped in late Sunday afternoon to check the place out. The place is large with lots of seating options (inside and out). Being an IPA fan, my guy got a flight of the three IPAs plus a Lager to fill the last spot of 4. I ordered a margarita as they have some cocktail options (and wine if desired). The margarita was meh. It didn't really taste like a margarita so maybe it was their take on one with a non traditional recipe? The feedback about the beer was that it was not terrible but didn't have much flavor. He wouldn't drink again. But our usual place is the Veil so tough competition!

We have been here a few times either for drinks with friends or for dinner and drinks. It's a cute little spot. It has a really nice outdoor space with areas for kids to play and they have a stage they built but we haven't seen a show there yet. The beer list is a pretty good size with a mix of lagers, stouts, sours, IPAs. The food is great but kind of pricey. Last time we were there my husband and I shared the wings, a salad and the grilled cheese. It was a little too much but tastey. The grilled cheese was decadent and the wings were amazing! We got their autumn salad and our only complaint was the squash it came with was cold and cold squash is not my jam. It's definitely worth going to check out but if you want to keep the price reasonable share a plate or just share some apps.

Hidden Wit is a total hidden gem! The location is right off 360 and a beautiful space! While the location is new, the brews and food feel like they've been an establishment for years! They have amazing food that's everything from shareables and apps, to high end filet mignon. There are many beers to choose from that offer a variety of tastes multiple options. Not a beer drinker? No problem! They have wine and bourbon too and are happy to make you a drink of your choice. They have yard games, multiple spaces for hanging out and beautiful dining rooms! Check this out on a nice day or during a rain storm. You'll enjoy it in any weather!

As we entered through the door, we were warmly greeted and quickly seated. Our server Annabelle was kind, attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drink menu. That's all great... but what about the food / drinks? Fantastic. My wife had a Super Major beer, and I tasted it as well. It was delicious and not overly creamy like some stouts can come off. The food was careful prepared and also delicious. They pair the sides extremely well, even seasoning the fries differently depending on the dish. Bold flavors to be expected, as you would hope in an upscale pub. I highly expect we'll be back!

The staff is always so helpful and friendly…read morethe minute you walk on the door answering all your questions whether it be about food or beer or the best place to sit. We ended up sitting at the bar for a couple beers and dinner. The outside vibe had fire pits and Adirondack chairs with some tables. From the minute, we entered to the moment we laughed. We were thoughtfully waited on by all the staff. Falcon smash is always my go to beer when I go there and this grilled chicken Parmesan sandwich was amazing. Definitely worth a stop when you're Midlothian Virginia.

I've followed this brewery on social media for a few months and have noticed their pictures consistently feature pours with an inordinate amount (2-3") of head on them. As someone who absolutely hates foam, I asked up front for no head. The bartender winced and explained they had to pour that way or they'd get in trouble because the ownership "wants the aroma expressed." I was taken aback...not only by the total lack of regard for the customer but for levying that threat against an employee. I was waiting to meet someone somewhere else for dinner, and put aside my disdain and capitulated as I didn't want anyone getting in trouble over a beer. So, I figured I'd make the most of things out on the patio. Alas, you can't take glass out in the patio, only plastic cups. What?!? If this were a college bar on a Friday night, sure - pour into plastic. But happy hour in Midlothian? The bartender did say they could pour no foam for a plastic cup though, which I thought was funny - they're so precious about their beer the foam is mandatory, but yeah, just dump it in plastic for the patio. All in all, a negative experience and one I won't repeat. My advice is to give the customer what they want, don't threaten employees, and eat the cost of a few broken glasses. To be clear: I get the notion of aromas and such, but this isn't Russian River or Alchemist, or even The Veil (none of which have foam mandates). I could even understand if they were busy (I was the only one ordering), but I wouldn't have asked for a longer pour under those circumstances. The beers are average regionals and customer service and good treatment of employees are non-negotiables. I hope ownership sees this and chills out; the person who pays for the beer dictates the pour, not you.
