Heroes were amazing, and literaly the best potato salad I have had , since 1999. The year I moved. Thinly sliced and just delicious. My wife and I stopped in on our way to McCarther Airport. We were greeted by 2 very nice counter workers. We both ordered different roast beef subs. And potatoe salad with bacon. My sandwich was the munchie. A staple at Bagelicious. Plenty of meat on both . We ate half our sandwiches at the outside table, and finished the other half at the airport. If we move back to Long Island, I would get a sandwich , every weekend.

This is the second I tired out the deli before reviewing. I'm really not sure how a deli does not…read morehave grilled chicken, that seems like something standard to offer for sandwiches and wraps. I had thought maybe they just ran out the first time I went, so when I went back a month later, to my surprise, they still didn't have that. I was able to get fried chicken cutlet instead, which isn't what I truly wanted as I am trying to eat better, but it was good, just not what I had wanted. They did not have whole wheat wraps, the did not have avocado and they did not have chipotle mayo. I really struck out on this deli. I had also ordered a sausage egg and cheese which was good, but the bagel was just ok. It's truly been an issue finding a good deli around Bay Shore.

Third time in two months I've called in for an order....The first two times the young workers put…read moreyou on hold but don't understand how hold works so you get to hear their gossip about how much their customers are annoying, awesome. This happened twice. I live local. Today I called and they don't have simple everyday deli food items like roast beef. I used to order catering here under the old ownership for my business monthly and it was top notch and perfect each and every-time. This new management has me never wanting to come back. 3 of 3 is a no for me. Its disappointing that they cant just get it together. I will never order here again especially not having regular items is simply unacceptable, go out and buy some. Send someone, thats how this works, and between the young staff and lack of service ill never return. It needs to be mentioned. I really tried to like them. Its a big fat no.

Then we were looking in the deli case discussing what we might like to order - we were the only customers there and the 'gentlemen' said what do you want..we replied just deciding.. then my GF ordered a sandwich and when he started to make it, we continued discussing amongst ourselves what looked good and what salads etc we would get to take on the boat - he stops making the sandwich and says what else are you going to get, I tell him 1/2 pd this, 1/2 pd of that, pd of the this, some cold cuts and another sandwich etc.. he then says 'forget it I'll just finish this sandwich first' - lol, ok, we didn't ask you to stop. We then order all of the other items and I said do we also order breakfast sandwiches and coffee here with you or at the other counter - he admonished me 'you should have done that first' - well so sorry we didn't know there were ordering rules.. the deli counter is right by the front door and cashiers in the back so it just made sense while it was empty to order our deli things first.. just overall not a pleasant experience - we spent over $100 on food and drinks with them. Place is clean and food was fine, just didn't feel very welcome.

Everything was great, enough food without being impossible to eat, especially without making a mess on the boat. The guy helping me wrapped everything as requested which I understand may be a PITA but I promise it's the best move for packing a cooler. The other employees were all super friendly and polite to everyone in and out of the deli while I was there. The place looks very clean and there's a great menu on the wall if you can't come up with your own sandwich. Definitely a experience!

Very last minute--close enough to the wedding that it left us scrambling--they backed out without a real solution or adequate support to help us replace the service. For an event of this size and importance, that level of unreliability is unacceptable. There was no sense of accountability or urgency in helping us fix the situation they created. It put a lot of unnecessary stress on what should have been a special day. I would not recommend them for any event where dependability actually matters.
