Place was okay, drinks were expensive and mediocre. My waitress Celeste had a bad attitude and couldn't even get her attention when we wanted anything. Overall, just an okay experience that's not really needed

Two of us stopped by around 8pm and were able to get two seats at that little window to the bar in the room over. It's pretty dark inside. The bartenders were super nice and very attentive. We loved our drinks! My milk punch was my favorite drink I've ever had there. I love that they automatically do 20% gratuity.

This was such a fun spot! I go to a lot of tiki bars and this is definitely one of the better ones. The space is actually quite large and the decorations are great. It has such great theming. The big shark on the menu was fun and the shark fins on the menu dictate how strong a drink is on the menu. As someone who does not like strong drinks, this was so helpful. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. This place is pricy and they do add a 20% tip automatically to the bill. I ordered the 'Sandstorm' and my husband got the 'Skull and Bones'. They were both strong but my drink, with 1 shark bin, was very doable and I was able to finish it. Unfortunately, we completely missed the first page of the menu somehow, which is unfortunate, because I actually preferred the drinks on that page. Oh well, our loss. My husband also tried this seasonal apple dumpling dessert which he loved while I had the cucumber salad which definitely had a kick! It was yummy though. I would recommend for people to check out who are in the area.

Hidden Harbor is a restaurant and bar that offers tropical-inspired foods and drinks. Examples from the food menu are huli-huli chicken wings, pork egg rolls, chicken yakitori, tacos, and street noodles. Some vegetarian and vegan options are available. Examples from the drink menu are tropical cocktails, shared drinks for multiple people, daiquiris, mojito, beers, wines, and over 670 rums! Through their website, I made a reservation for dinner for my husband and me. When we arrived, employees immediately and kindly greeted us and seated us at a wobbly table in a dimly lit room. Our server provided courteous service throughout our meal. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Tropical Itch - 2.5 stars - The server recommended a different drink to me, and I unfortunately chose this one instead. This drink contained bourbon, passion fruit, and orange. A plastic backscratcher (yes, really) was also included. I did not like the flavors of this drink so sipped it only slightly. Crab rangoons - 4 stars - Several rangoons had crispy seasoned wonton wrappers, contained lump crab and cream cheese, and were served with sweet-sour sauce. Island Salad - 4.5 stars - This large salad included lettuces, mango, cucumber, carrot, avocado, red onions, jalapeno, queso fresco, wonton, cashew, and ponzu vinaigrette. I liked the fresh flavors of all ingredients except for the spicy jalapeño. Smash Burger - 4 stars - My husband ate this entree. He thought that it was just OK and made a face. I took one bite and thought that it was "good." The burger consisted of a beef patty, onion, pickle, American cheese, and special sauce. On the side were crispy fries. Please note that the business's website says, "For the benefit of our staff, a 20% gratuity is automatically applied to all checks." Including sales tax and this tip, our four menu items cost us a total of $84.

Had a great time here! While Squirrel Hill doesn't have many bars, this is such a fun bar. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. The ambiance was really cool. The drinks were also well worth the money, in terms of presentation and taste. I also enjoyed the food options, specifically because there was a variety of vegetarian/vegan options. I'd love to come back and try other cocktails!

Fun tiki bar with great cocktails! It's spacious inside, we booked a reservation in advance online but there were a bunch of available tables throughout the night while we were there. Fun ambiance and decor inside, good for a casual night out with friends or for a casual date. We tried a bunch of different cocktails. Started with the Sign of the Four which comes in a conch shell. It was okay, I didn't love it. My boyfriend got the Katoa Cove which I liked more. Next we got the Ishmael and the Painkiller. Both were good but the Painkiller was definitely my favorite cocktail out of all of them - so good! All of the cocktails were all super fun in their presentation and easy to sip on.

Still one of the best escapes in Pittsburgh. The theming is top notch the island cocktails are well mixed and the food is amazing. It's like being whisked away to an island tiki bar or Trader Sam's for the Disneyphiles out there. The staff are great and willing to help find just what you need to escape the cold and dreary evenings.

Great tiki drinks and food to accompany. I really liked the chicken sandwich and got a spin on a piña colada but with tequila. Super friendly experience in a fun, tiki-inspired environment.

This place is such a fun time! So cutely decorated. It was a little loud so we had a bit of difficultly hearing our friends across the table. The staff were so friendly and helpful with questions. You're going to spend more than $50 here, but the drinks are works of art.

We had the pleasure of stopping by Hidden Harbor in Pittsburgh for some tiki drinks, and it did not disappoint. This spot is amazing -- the drinks are solid, the décor is on point, and the bar has such a welcoming vibe. They also serve food, though we only went for the tiki cocktails this time around. If you're ever in the Steel City, this is definitely a must-visit.

What a cute spot! They have a great selection of tiki drinks as well was some more basic drinks like mojitos and daiquiris. I didn't know what to expect from the food but it was delicious. I loved the French fries (sooo crispy) and chicken sandwich, and my boyfriend said the smash burger was good too. Ally took great care of us!

So glad we could visit for a birthday! Turns out they give you a free birthday drink which was an awesome surprise. We ordered way too many spindrifts, shell shockers, I got a mojito, and a bday drink! This was my first time sitting on the patio and it doesn't have the same tiki ambiance outside as it does inside but we still had a lovely time out there. Our server, Will, was very kind and loved giving us suggestions which were super helpful. Still highly recommend!

This place is always a great spot if you're looking for a nice cocktail bar. The drinks never disappoint and I love that they do change their menu and have fun with their specials. I love all the cups here and I had no idea they had a cute outdoor patio in the back. Definitely super nice since it's quieter and brighter outside. Staff was so nice and fun! Love all the designs here too from the menu to the coasters. What a gem!!

GREAT tiki cocktails but pricey to hang out. Good for 1 or 2 (lots of ice) before moving on to somewhere else.

Cool vibes at the Harbor. Good cocktails in funky drinkware. Can be a pain to get in sometimes, but worth it if you plan in advance.

Are you still requiring Covid + Booster vaccine proof? I have the vaccine but no Booster.

No.

Is there music, live or DJ?

Usually no live music. But they do play music.

Is the indoor area open again? I know it's not geared toward them, but could a kid be there sometime in the afternoon and do they have high chairs?

We are in the process of a phased indoor reopening, beginning with the Cobra's Fang experience in our dining room (see our website for info). Well-behaved children are welcome with parents or legal guardians, consistent with state law, and yes, we…

Is the patio enclosed with a roof and side tent? Or is it open air? We have COVID concerns. Thanks

The back patio is tented, with loosely attached fabric side panels on only 1.5 of the four sides. The front sidewalk is partially tented and essentially open-air. Both seating areas are served by propane heaters.

Do they take reservations?

Yes! Call (412) 422-5040. For large parties (8+) and event inquiries, please e-mail adam@hiddenharborpgh.com. Mahalo.

What really shoots it down is how bad the service is and the consistency of the food. We normally have happy hour for work here and We went on a Wednesday. There is a deal for wings on Wednesday for 0.85 cents per wing, however, not only are the wings small but I was charged $15 dollars. Not only that, they never once got water despite asking multiple times, did not correct the wing order, and incessantly tried to get my group to get more orders of ranch. Now the caveat? They didn't tell us it was extra and charged us for it. It does not even come with fries. The food was also served cold....on a hot summer day? How does that even happen? Service is deceiving because she gave the deal to someone else but not to me. It just felt like they wanted more money so they charged me more. If they work on their deals, customer service, and quality of the wings then it might go up. Other facilities look okay. If you come here for the other facilities, I saw other reviews also have issues with the service but go at your own discretion.

(The building is on the corner of 38th & Butler Streets, and "Esquina" means "corner.") My husband and I ate one dinner here as part of a Yelp Experience. (I reviewed my free meal under the listing for that event.) My husband is not a Yelper, so he paid for his meal. Guacamole and tostadas - 4.5 stars - This appetizer was a large size. The tostadas were nicely crispy and had the perfect amount of salt. The guacamole was fresh. My husband said that it was probably the best value that we have even gotten for chips and guacamole at any restaurant. Carne-asada street tacos - 3.5 stars - Again, the serving size was large. The tortillas reminded me a bit of my husband's Mexican grandma's tortillas. As for the carne-asada meat, my husband said, "I don't know what that was supposed to be." Eek! However, he added, "The beans and rice are very good. There's definitely a Mexican in that kitchen." Well, I do not know who the chefs are, but I hope that they accept that last comment as a compliment. These two menu items cost $42 plus tax and tip.

The shrimp tacos cost even more expensive, and they charge $10 for a plain cheese quesadilla that is totally meh. Unless you go at happy hour, you're also going to pay too much for a drink.
