We love this restaurant and appreciate the close proximity to our home. Others probably have to drive here but I tell you it is very well worth it! We are creature of habits and generally order the same thing. NOT HERE! I usually glance at the menu and am always assured that I will be satisfied with whatever I feel like. We agree that this is the best breakfast place around here. The green chili omelette mirrors the wonderful flavor of my memories from New Mexico and Colorado. My grandmother would have approved and savored every drop. Today I had an Ahi salad with raspberry dressing. Unbelievably tasty. I came here for the first time last Sunday. I ordered the Loco Moco Deluxe and it was absolutely perfect. In fact, I craved it all week, so we came back today. As we walked in, they remembered us and welcomed us back. I ordered that Loco Moco again, and it was just as good as last week. Hubby had chicken fried steak last week, and the Cajun links this week. He loves them both, and he's tough to please. The service is excellent here. This is hands down my new favorite breakfast place, and I'll be back every Sunday. read more

The only place in Camarillo with island-style food, because I love me some Loco Moco, and Spam and eggs. I do not know why, but I swear their coffee is my top reason for visiting. Aside from some island fare, they have standard brunch items also. The steak and eggs: oh, it's good. Chocolate chip pancakes for the kids, and cinnamon rolls to rival Cinnabon. I can praise everything I've tried on the menu. Everything is reasonably priced. We visit often enough for the staff to know us; it's very friendly, and consistently busy, without being overcrowded. They recently began serving takeout dinners on Thursdays and Fridays. My hope is that one day they'll just stay open the whole day :) read more

Came here for the first time with a group of 7. It took us about 30 minutes to get seated. The wait for our food took about 45 mins but it was fine because they were very busy. Our waitress was very friendly and patient with us. She was happy to answer any questions we had. I ordered the loco moco which was the special for the day for $9. I asked my meat to be cooked medium rare but it was a little burnt. Besides that, it was good and I would definitely recommend it! WOW was this a disappointment! My husband and I came here because we wanted to try a new breakfast place, and the reviews and photos led us to believe this would be a great spot. First of all, this place is just very unpleasant on the eyes. Drab brown walls, dimly lit, and a view of the kitchen that leaves little to the imagination. We were seated in the back by the bathrooms, so we also had a slight chemical smell to contend with. The food did not save this place at all. I ordered the chicken and waffles (which looked magical in a Yelp photo) and the only way I can describe it is hard and dry... the chicken AND the waffles. I honestly don't know how they did it. My husband got the classic bacon and eggs, which were average at best. Oh! I forgot to mention where we were seated: a booth that had absolutely zero leg room between the benches and the base of the table. It was so claustrophobic we had to be moved to another table. I have never left a negative review on Yelp, but I was so wildly let down by this place I just had to say something. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because of decent service. Except I never got a refill on my water... I better end this review before I change my mind. read more

Found this little gem off the 101 on the way to solvang. Probably the closest to Hawaiian loco moco I've had here at home. They even have their own little special sauce for their fried rice. Only downside was everything was extra salty. Overall great tasting breakfast! read more

Everything on the menu is delicious, I haven't had one bad thing on their menu. They have "broke da mouth" Loco Moco! I don't think it's on the menu, but definitely ask for it. Their ribeye is some of the best I've had. You can't go wrong with their chicken and waffles also. This is one of my favorite spots, always solid! This is my absolute favorite local breakfast place. The prices are fair and I always go home with leftovers. Their gluten free pancakes and waffles are THE BEST! Went to the Hidden Cafe on Saturday morning and was Seated on their nice little patio. David, their waiter / bodybuilder, pleasantly gave us our menu, filled our coffees and took our order. My son enjoyed a ham and cheese omelet with some pancakes and I got there veggie omelet with some sourdough toast. Both items came with a side of fruit. The food was tasty, not too salty and brought out hot. Coffee was refilled by a couple of other servers who were very friendly. They allowed me to pay using Android pay on their iPad. Good and easy. Eggs cooked the way I requested, Server suggestion on the Corned Beef Hash was "on point", Blueberry pancakes (very good and fresh), I probably should not have ordered the potatoes, but didn't know how packed the hash was with diced potatoes. That was on me. Sat outside, beautiful day, and was well checked upon even though I was the only patron outside. (good job, again) Coffee refilled even after check paid. As an out of town visitor, I enjoyed my dining experience at Hidden Cafe. I think if a place like this were to exist in Vegas, I believe it would be pretty busy and the menu is similar to the type of foods served at BabyStacks. California weather makes it enjoyable to sit outside in the patio area. My party of 5 came in on a Saturday morning and since the restaurant is small, we probably would have waited long. The hostess sat us as soon as she could and our waitress was very attentive. While the foods are good, they didn't really seem to have a staple dish that makes them stand out from other breakfast places that I am used to. But I really enjoyed my deluxe loco moco (gravy was bomb - I should ask for extra gravy next time). In this area, they probably don't have many places that serve these types of Hawaiian inspired dishes, hopefully they can add more like it to their menu in the future. Definitely try this place if you are in the area! You'll be satisfied. read more

Granted it was a Sunday, but they kept blaming it on being so busy which made me feel like we were the cause of their poor service. I didn't think that was right. The chicken and waffle I got the chicken was still bloody (undercooked) so I sent it back. Instead of comping the meal they charged me still for the waffle part. Annoying. No apology so that was worse -- just again blamed being busy on the undercooked chicken. My husband had bacon and eggs so nothing out of control there. As I was driving up the street I yelped for a breakfast place and found a place 1 mins away. My experience was great. The coffee was delicious. It was a busy Sunday morning and yet the staff was welcoming and attentive. I had the French toast and a side of bacon. The bacon was thick and savory. The French toast moist inside and crispy (not too crispy) perfect. The coffee was not burnt, it too was perfect. I enjoyed the company of their customers.
