However eggs were hard. I hate that. I love Benedicts of all types and order them sparingly because they are so rich and I try to eat healthy. When I get them I want that lovely warm ooze of yolk making the whole dish so rich, creamy and decadent. I got wet, soggy tomato, soupy spinach and a hard yolk with cold hollandaise. The food took over an hour to get to us many employees are not wearing masks and not inforcing any social distancing rules. all the tables are very close together and the food is alright. Average. Many customers come in and out passing people shoulder to shoulder with no masks on. Definitely going to get tested after eating here. They gave us salt and pepper shakers instead of packets and didn't sanitize them. If you're prone to sickness I would wait for the pandemic to slow down to eat here. read more

Had brunch with my mom and sister-in-law. This place is good but not great. I'll have to try this place again sometime in the future to re-evaluate. This place is a simple cafe and the location is indeed hidden. The ambiance isn't great but the staff is super friendly. Super busy on the weekends. We waited about 45 minutes from the time we were placed on the wait list to the time our food was served. My mom didn't like that we got sat next to the restrooms so she pouted. What an awful experience. I came here for breakfast with a party of 6 for some reason they thought it was a large party. They had us waiting for over 40 minutes and they kept sitting people before us. I counted atleast 5 party's that were seated before us and arrived after. I would like to think it wasn't race based but I can't help it feel that way. We ended up leaving after they were going to sit us outside after telling them that we wanted to eat indoors. read more

Had breakfast here today. Food was awesome. We had the Turkey omelette and eggs Benedict. Both great. Omelette came with toast or pancake. We opted for pancake. Pancake were 3 silver dollar pancakes. This is a great place and it is a hidden place in Camarillo. I got the steak and eggs with wheat toast and potatoes. It was a delicious combination! The steak was cooked to my preference and the eggs were on point as well. The potatoes was one of the things that I loved. Everyone there was really sweet and thoughtful. We love this restaurant and appreciate the close proximity to our home. Others probably have to drive here but I tell you it is very well worth it! We are creature of habits and generally order the same thing. NOT HERE! I usually glance at the menu and am always assured that I will be satisfied with whatever I feel like. We agree that this is the best breakfast place around here. The green chili omelette mirrors the wonderful flavor of my memories from New Mexico and Colorado. My grandmother would have approved and savored every drop. Today I had an Ahi salad with raspberry dressing. Unbelievably tasty. I had the Loco Moco special with Portuguese sausage. They had some spicy soy sauce to go over it. I could barely eat it all. The place is small, but the waitress was friendly and kept my coffee cup full. She recommended the Moco Loco which was not in the menu. The place really is hidden. The only sign I saw was neon, not lit, and hidden in the window behind a palm tree. I had to ask a guy in the parking lot where it was. read more

Nice little restaurant. It truly is hidden. Mostly locals were there when we stopped by on our way to Santa Barbara. Due to COVID we had to eat outside. No biggie. Service was good. Employees were very nice. I had a burger that had chorizo & beef patty. It was spicy and tasty, onion rings were fresh but a little bland. My wife had salmon Benedict, she liked it,, perfect amount of food. Prices are reasonable! Definitely a local place, it really is in the middle of no where. The food here is mediocre. My boyfriend got strawberry pancakes and it came with a hair in the food. Also they forgot to put in the strawberries so they put it on the side. Since strawberries are not in season they used frozen strawberries in syrup. One strip of bacon. Overall their pancake combo was overpriced and underwhelming. I ordered chilaquiles and it was small portion. Pretty good though. The only thing good about this place is the service. Service was nice and warm. We like the breakfast there. I love the fried rice and my husband loves the Loco moco. We went for breakfast the other day and they seemed a little unorganized. The wait staff were not wearing mask or gloves and I felt it could of been a little cleaner. Great quality, portions could be a tiny bit more. Could use extra napkins. Waiter was awesome. Waitress helping out had a rougher edge to her, embodying "mandatory friendliness". Still efficient. The only place in Camarillo with island-style food, because I love me some Loco Moco, and Spam and eggs. I do not know why, but I swear their coffee is my top reason for visiting. Aside from some island fare, they have standard brunch items also. The steak and eggs: oh, it's good. Chocolate chip pancakes for the kids, and cinnamon rolls to rival Cinnabon. I can praise everything I've tried on the menu. Everything is reasonably priced. We visit often enough for the staff to know us; it's very friendly, and consistently busy, without being overcrowded. They recently began serving takeout dinners on Thursdays and Fridays. My hope is that one day they'll just stay open the whole day :) read more

I came here for the first time last Sunday. I ordered the Loco Moco Deluxe and it was absolutely perfect. In fact, I craved it all week, so we came back today. As we walked in, they remembered us and welcomed us back. I ordered that Loco Moco again, and it was just as good as last week. Hubby had chicken fried steak last week, and the Cajun links this week. He loves them both, and he's tough to please. The service is excellent here. This is hands down my new favorite breakfast place, and I'll be back every Sunday. read more

WOW was this a disappointment! My husband and I came here because we wanted to try a new breakfast place, and the reviews and photos led us to believe this would be a great spot. First of all, this place is just very unpleasant on the eyes. Drab brown walls, dimly lit, and a view of the kitchen that leaves little to the imagination. We were seated in the back by the bathrooms, so we also had a slight chemical smell to contend with. The food did not save this place at all. I ordered the chicken and waffles (which looked magical in a Yelp photo) and the only way I can describe it is hard and dry... the chicken AND the waffles. I honestly don't know how they did it. My husband got the classic bacon and eggs, which were average at best. Oh! I forgot to mention where we were seated: a booth that had absolutely zero leg room between the benches and the base of the table. It was so claustrophobic we had to be moved to another table. I have never left a negative review on Yelp, but I was so wildly let down by this place I just had to say something. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because of decent service. Except I never got a refill on my water... I better end this review before I change my mind. read more

Found this little gem off the 101 on the way to solvang. Probably the closest to Hawaiian loco moco I've had here at home. They even have their own little special sauce for their fried rice. Only downside was everything was extra salty. Overall great tasting breakfast! read more

Everything on the menu is delicious, I haven't had one bad thing on their menu. They have "broke da mouth" Loco Moco! I don't think it's on the menu, but definitely ask for it. Went to the Hidden Cafe on Saturday morning and was Seated on their nice little patio. David, their waiter / bodybuilder, pleasantly gave us our menu, filled our coffees and took our order. My son enjoyed a ham and cheese omelet with some pancakes and I got there veggie omelet with some sourdough toast. Both items came with a side of fruit. The food was tasty, not too salty and brought out hot. Coffee was refilled by a couple of other servers who were very friendly. They allowed me to pay using Android pay on their iPad. Good and easy.
