The only downside was the drinks took about 15 minutes to come out. Matthew apologized and let us know there was only one bartender working, so we understood. It was a little longer than we expected, but when they finally came out they were made perfectly. I had a margarita on the rocks and my sister had a Passion Cosmo, and we both liked them. We all left for "The GRILL" and when we entered, the place was packed, but they did have a table available, and it was near the Kitchen. At most restaurants, you don't want to be near the Kitchen, but at The GRILL, it's a great place to sit because you are closer to all that Aroma that fills the air all over the entire restaurant, and you get to watch them grill those Steaks. Haylee came over to our table to say "Hello". She is one of the Bartenders here at this time, and informed us that our Server is Katie, who will be with us shortly. We informed her that it's Nancy's "80th" Birthday, and Haylee wished her a Happy Birthday. We also ordered our drinks, Jack-N-Cokes for Nancy and me; Joe is having a Miller Lite. Katie came over shortly, and we informed her that Haylee took our drink order. Soon our drinks arrived, and we toasted to the Birthday Girl. Happy Birthday Nancy. We then looked over the menu some more, trying to decide what we wanted. This is a hard decision because everything they prepare here is delicious, and one of the Best Presentations of Tastyliciousness in town. When Katie returned, we placed our orders. The Birthday Girl is going with, and there is no surprise here, their "Slow Roasted Pork Nachos"; Chipotle Sauce, diced Tomatoes, Cilantro, Black Beans, Cheddar Cheese over Fresh Chips with sliced Green Jalapenos on the side, all covering a load of Fresh, Crunchy Chips. Joe is having their "Baby Back Ribs", "Fall-Off-The-Bone-Ribs" with house-made BBQ Sauce, served with Creamy Coleslaw & Shoestring Potatoes. He also ordered a side Salad with House Dressing. I am going with one of my favorites - everywhere - a Burger. Not just any burger, but their "Texas Burger": Half Pound of Seasoned Fresh Ground Chuck, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Canadian Bacon, Onions, jalapeños, and mustard with Mesquite Sauce. Served with Shoestring Potatoes (choice). Orders are in, and we ordered another round of drinks for us. The GRILL has the best Bartenders in the area, and their drinks go down smooooooth. Our drinks arrived just before the food did, and it's hard to decide what to enjoy next. Okay, it was kind of easy. When you are presented with a drink, you take a sip just to let the drink know you appreciate it being a good drink. The GRILL does an amazing job with their Presentation of food. Joe's Baby Back Ribs are glistening on his platter (yes, a platter, not a plate), waiting for him to indulge. They didn't have to wait very long, because he did just that. Those Ribs have a lot of bones across the platter, and he started at one end and went to the other end. He said it was delicious, or something like that, because when one drools, it's hard to come up with the words. Their Shoestring Potatoes are always good, and the Creamy Coleslaw has a nice crunch to it, along with tasty flavoring. My Wife, as always, enjoyed those Slow Roasted Pork Nachos. There is a lot of pulled pork in there, along with a lot of everything else. The Jalapeños are on the side, so you can add as much heat to each bite as you want. This dish is not only Tastylicious, but a very Colorful one at that. It's like Christmas in August. Nancy ate more of this than she normally does. I took a bite, and it is really good, and what a deal. Joe finished off the rest, and the plate is clean. I have had this Texas Burger a few times before, and it's a hard one to pass up each time we are here. This must be a full Half-Pound patty, because it's Thick & Big. Love the strong taste and the amount of Cheddar Cheese Strips on this Burger; it's not too much, but it's also not a little amount. The Jalapeños are also just the right amount of heat to complement every bite. The Canadian Bacon on a Texas Burger does not sound right, but it is the right touch. The flavor goes perfectly with the entire Burger. For me, this entire Texas Burger is the Best Burger in the area, and I have had many a burger all over. Love those Shoestring Potatoes. They have a nice Crunch all the way around and are salted Just-Right. I usually do not salt anything per Doctor's orders, but these I make an exception for. The Texas Burger does it for me every time I order it. Every one of us joined the Clean Plate Club for the night, and we all get a Gold Star. Haylee and Katie earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm. Haylee made our drinks for the night, and Katie checked on us throughout our stay at just the right time. Service at The GRILL has always been tops, and it was that again.

Who knows what happened the first go around but let's move on. This evening my husband and I both had the bbq rib dinner as shown and WOW, what a difference. These ribs were perfectly prepared, served hot, tender off the bone, the bbq sauce was perfect as were the fries and coleslaw. Our friends had the roasted chicken dinner and a salmon dinner and the both were very pleased with their choices. The restaurant was busy and had a great vibe. The lady replied back my order and asked what kind of soup, Tomato Basil or Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I asked her to repeat that, and she said, Tomato Basil or Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I said, I'm sorry, could you repeat the last part. She said, Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I then said, Tomato Basil Soup will be fine. For the life of me, I could not understand what kind of soup Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw was, and I don't know if that sounded good or not. But I do know Tomato Basil Soup is a good soup. This 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread is one-tiny-slice, but nicely toasted. Peeked inside for the cheese, and it's only a small dab of yellow and white. This is not a "Brylcreem Commercial" where a 'Little Dab Will Do Ya', it's a Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and I'm looking for the Cheese. I do not see how this could be three-slices, which doesn't even go to the edge of the toast. The Tomato Basil Soup is absolutely Delicious and Flavorful, and loving those chunks of tomatoes. Love That Soup. The 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread is toasted perfectly and has the perfect crunch in every bite. Once in a while, you could actually taste a little cheese, but not often. GLUTEN FREE REVIEW:…read more Don't be fooled by the beauty and elegance of this place! I had a reaction to gluten in the first 10 minutes of being in this establishment. As of 01 October 2026, the menu online is their current menu, you will notice it is small but refined with multiple items marked gluten free. Do not succumb to the ignorance of trusting a gluten free marked item like I did. When I arrived at the restaurant with my friends the owner came to our table and greeted us, which I thought was very nice until he started speaking. He spoke at me for about 10 minutes about how people who are gluten free can actually eat flour outside of the US because they only have a problem with the processed flour, and how he uses "pure grain flour". (This is a common misconception, but a misconception nonetheless). When he finally allowed me to interject in between his ramblings, I informed him that I am celiac, meaning I cannot ingest flour at all no matter the processing it undergoes. I even told him how I have been to France and was unable to eat flour items there. I further express my concerns with the menu items containing ANY wheat ingredients. He assured me that "100% you can have the Pomme Frites and Pork Belly", these are the gluten free marked items. He said I couldn't have the fried calamari cause it was breaded in panko, but the lamb entree I wanted had homemade sauce so it was good too. I was not reassured after he left, telling my friends as much, but I decided to trust him. A fatal flaw I'll soon come to know. Ultimately, I ordered the pomme frites and poke belly appetizers for the table. I tried to order the lamb but clarified with the server that there wasn't flour in the sauce, after asking he noted there WAS flour in the sauce! (Like WTF! The owner just told me I could have it.) I ended up ordering the smoked salmon. When the appetizers arrived I started eating the Pork Belly, IT WAS INCREDIBLE!! Perfectly crispy, perfectly sweet, and perfectly tender. I hesitated eating the fries, as I didn't clarify the fryer situation. When the server came back (who also was told of my allergy multiple times by multiple people at my table) I asked him about the frier, he told me there was only ONE FRYER! MEANING IT WAS FRIED WITH THE CALAMARI!! At this point I have only drank water and ate about one 4inx2in piece of Pork Belly, when I start to feel an invisible force lodged in my throat and the unmistakable, catastrophe realization that I had royally fucked up. The next person the come to the table was the bartender, after asking, she informs me that the Pork Belly is not pan fried like I thought but it is ALSO FRIED IN THE FUCKING FRYER!! I then spent the next 10 minutes crying and throwing up in their bathroom. The owner did make another appearance after hearing my throwing up in the bathroom, apologizing and comping my meal. He even offered to box up my entree, I informed him that that wasn't necessary as I will not be eating anything else from here. (&Honestly comping my meal is a huge pet peeve of mine because that's the least you can fucking do after poisoning me, but I digress.) Actually, I've never digressed a day in my life.
