You can't find a better roofer than Hicks Roofing I have never purchased a roof before so I was pretty nervous knowing I had to replace my 21 year old roof when it started leaking and shingles were blowing off after high winds. I had a lot to learn about roofs and for me, it was a significant investment, so I called and got bids from nearly every high-rated roofer in Atlanta. Hicks stood out from the beginning. The inspection of my roof that they completed was by far the most thorough and they asked a lot of questions to make sure their bid would be accurate. They said they also do this to reduce the chance of any change orders during the project which made me feel good. Hicks is a large contractor but with a very personal feel. They assigned me a project manager who held my hand throughout the entire job and none of the other roofers I got bids from mentioned this extra service that I really appreciated. They have a huge assortment of shingle styles and colors and helped me choose an architectural shingle that has a slate look. It looks so pretty on my home and all my neighbors are envious. The Hicks roofing crew worked so hard removing my old roof and installing the new roof. My roof is pretty steep and the workers had all kinds of safety equipment with ropes and cables to make sure no accidents which also made me feel good. My job took two days and they cleaned up continuously, checked in with my regularly and followed up with me after the job was completed. The superintendent even dropped by after-hours on a Friday to make sure all went well. The job went exactly as they told me it would and finished on time without a single hiccup. What a relief cause I was so nervous having to buy a roof I knew almost nothing about. And, to top it off, I got a lifetime warranty on my new beautiful roof. There was no charge for this $11,000 roof. It was a gift from the Hicks company to me a Vietnam veteran for our service to our great country. Even though . . . there was no charge for the roof, the family of Hick's Roofing were amazing! They took great care in understanding my needs and wish list. Their employees were kind and courteous... their office personnel stayed in personal contact with us advising us of every step from when they were bringing the materials, where and how to store them so they would not be on the way of our needs, when they would be starting the work.... I've had many contractors at my home and by far, Hicks cleaned everything up! The final product was great! To finalize the work, after the work was completed they sent an inspector to ascertain that the roof was installed as per stricter guidelines. Thank you, Hicks Roofing!! We needed to replace the roof on our 9 year old 3-story 5000 sq. ft. home due to defective Atlas Chalet shingles. My insurance company would not foot the bill to replace the whole roof, so I was in need of a roofing company that could do a good job at an affordable price. I met with the Hicks Roofing team 3 times before an agreement was reached. The team was always, punctual, courteous and professional. These "3" traits helped my wife and I to make the decision to move forward with the roof replacement with the Hicks Roofing team. A date was scheduled and the labor team came out and was also punctual. The work was completed as dictated (2-days) and my yard and surrounding area was as clean as a whistle once the job was completed. This is the first time I have ever written a review but the experience I had with Hicks Roofing was so positive I had to take the time to do so. My home needed a new roof and I called 4 roofing contractors to inspect my roof and provide me with estimates; 1 never showed up at all, another was almost an hour late and the third had trouble answering the most basic questions I learned from my internet research. The Hicks estimator had 30 YEARS of industry experience and was very professional, answering and addressing the most detailed questions and issues. Their estimate was thorough, complete and the roofing project exceeded my expectations. Discovered a roof/flashings leak late on New Year's night (2017) after an intense day of rain. Thomas was dispated on the 2nd day (reasonable backlog) - called while en route, inside of their appointment time frame, examined the problem, provided phots of the culprit area, and recommended a solution. I recently had my shingle roof replaced by Hicks Roofing out of Kennesaw, GA. Their rep was very helpful and made sure I understood every step involved- from why I needed the replacement to coordinating my claim with our homeowner's insurance to picking out the new product and color. The work was scheduled very promptly after approval was secured form our HOA. It took just over a day to complete; I think the heat at over 100 degrees kept them from finishing the same day.
