And I had forgotten that the reservation was made through an online travel service. The Gage Mansion employee who called me back (sorry I forgot your name!) confirmed that fact, clarified the cancellation policy and guided me back to the third-party site. They have a large outside deck with a chimney stove for warmth at night. Bob, the proprietor, is a huge fan and such a nice man. He will talk trains with all of us and even go take pictures with the kids. My grandson loves Bob because he talks trains and lets him know when special ones are coming. The rooms are comfortable as are the beds. Just a great place if you love trains like our family does.
