The menu items for July/August are so enticing that it's almost impossible to pick but we ended up getting the tomato tart (one of our favorite bites of the night), the zucchini fritters and caprese gnocchi soup to start. For our main course we selected the lemon ricotta pasta, the chimichurri steak tips and the sea bass skewers (you don't see sea bass on menus often and this one shouldn't be missed- it's incredible) . We were all so happy with all of our delicious meals (I even took bread to get every bite on my sea bass entree). I gave her all the details and she wrote everything down and said she would pass it along to Ashley who would then give me a call back to go over everything in more detail. After about a week of not hearing back from them, I gave them another call and left a voice mail. That was a few weeks ago and I still haven't heard back.. After reading some reviews it seems like this isn't the first time they've ghosted people. If communication is this difficult in the beginning, then I can't imagine how it will be leading up to our wedding. No thank you.

With Aaron, we thought we had peace of mind - something MUCH needed for us while in the midst of planning our special day. However, soon after our initial engagement photo shoot with Aaron, our interactions with him deteriorated significantly. Aaron was near impossible to get a hold of, told us he was busy with other weddings, incommunicado, no acknowledgment for weeks on end. This change in behavior literally gave us anxiety. A few short weeks leading up to our special day, we finally got some airtime with Aaron - we went over the contract details, wedding schedule, went over in detail what we needed/wanted, all within the confines of the contract. But Aaron's attention to detail was quite sloppy - he sent us a checklist that he had probably copied/pasted and it had an another couple's name/information on it. We asked for candid shots of our guests while at their tables - none of this was done. We provided a detailed checklist of "must have" photos - we basically did his homework for him; he ignored it. On the day of our event, Aaron showed up with only 1 other person - our contract agreement stated there would be 3 people. On the day of our event, Aaron and this 1 other person literally SAT for over an hour - when they could have been taking photos. We had shared with Aaron that we had family traveling from afar - and shared the importance of having photos of our guests to look back on - this was ignored. We have no videos of any of the speeches from our family members. The videos that Aaron took were disappointingly amateur - shaky, unpolished, wobbly; even the camera almost dropped at one point, and the very visible near drop was included in one of the final "edited" videos he sent us. The highlight reel he put together for us had muffled and very poor audio quality - definitely not the level of quality we were expecting and were promised. In the photos prior to heading to our venue, the lack of attention to detail was astounding - no cropping (my CPAP was glaringly noticeable in what was supposed to be photos of 'mom helping bride'); her veil was cutoff; I could go on and on with all the disappointments. We paid just under $5k - and we essentially got robbed. And in reading through some of the recent Google reviews about Aaron Lee Photography - much of what I'm sharing appears to be a common theme - lackluster service for the amount of money paid, poor customer service, etc. We're now stuck with ~40% photos that are "just ok" out of the complete set he sent us. We wished that we had given our business to someone else.
