We are visiting from California and there's not a whole lot to do out here... we went to see a film at a Carmike theatre and although it was half the price of Los Angeles theatres, it was a really lame and generic experience (with TONS of previews including about four Coke commercials.) In LA, we go to a really cushy theatre called the Arclight, but if we had a theatre in LA like The Ritz that I could support, I would gladly give up the Arclight for good. Yes, the picture was a little helterskelter/out of focus on one side. Didn't bother us really. We realized that it was on account of the projection room being in the corner of the theatre rather than directly across the room from the screen. We found it charming, just like everything else about the place. The owner's two young children are fantastic and they gave us a tour of the place, too. Save the Ritz!

The main theatre screen is the main event here, as it has been restored to its old glory; thanks to new owners about a decade ago. It's a huge screen surrounded by art deco fixtures. The seats are comfy enough, even if they may not appear to be the cleanest. The two other theaters are rather generic boxes, the kind you'd find most anywhere else, with smaller screens. You can't beat the prices for a first-run flick: $6/adults, $5/seniors. And those are for the prime time evening shows! Wow! Concession prices are great too: $5 for a refillable barrel of popcorn! If you're ever in Lock Haven, this is a must-see! I'll give it 5 stars, for the pricing and the unique environment. Hands down, this is my family's go-to place to catch the latest blockbuster.

They don't sell tickets online, just at the door. Refreshments are reasonably priced and there is a self-serve popcorn buttering machine. Very clean. There are distractions like arcade games in the lobby. They have a decent selection of films and show times along with digital sound and picture in all screens and 3d in some. The seats are very comfortable. The clerks are friendly and knowledgable. Clean bathrooms and sensical layouts. There are a few negatives. Tickets for myself and my 6 year old for a 3d movie were 18 total. I rarely get snacks or a drink because they are way up there in price. But I don't go for the snacks so no biggy. The only other negative is that the smaller outer theaters are close to the lobby and the noise really filters in there with a crowd out there. I guess I could also say the walls are very thin and you often hear sounds from the screen next door. But this happens in most modern theaters. I often travel 45 minutes to see a movie here. My home town theater makes this place look like the Taj Mahal.

I was thinking it would be just another movie theater but whoa was I surprised to find a gem! For starters, they have an pretty extensive menu for a movie theater. Gone are the days of just popcorn and nachos lol They offer flatbread and even adult beverages! Who knew?! I opted for my classic nachos and a "red" cherry icee - my fav lol I give this theater 4 stars because the seats did not recline. Bummer! But it probably would not have been a good idea to have reclining seats for me while seeing a 10:30 movie lol The sears were, however, relatively comfy :)

They always do pre-sales of things and sell out of things before they even go on sale on the actual day they're supposed to go on sale. Their website hours are completely wrong and they are not updated. I went there two days to buy stuff at the time they said they open and the doors weren't even open. I tried to call three times throughout the day and then twice the next day, and no phone was ever answered. Then I went to go get a refillable popcorn bucket, which is a very nice gift for people that enjoy going to the movies, but of course they also had to ruin that and now you can only assign it to a phone number. They are taking the fun out of going to the movies. I am really disappointed

When you first walk in, the atmosphere is just perfect and you just want to walk around and look at all of the beautiful and interesting artwork (and the pastry case!). The menu items for July/August are so enticing that it's almost impossible to pick but we ended up getting the tomato tart (one of our favorite bites of the night), the zucchini fritters and caprese gnocchi soup to start. For our main course we selected the lemon ricotta pasta, the chimichurri steak tips and the sea bass skewers (you don't see sea bass on menus often and this one shouldn't be missed- it's incredible) . We were all so happy with all of our delicious meals (I even took bread to get every bite on my sea bass entree). We were shocked when we saw our check- surely they had missed an item or two- it was such a low price. What a bargain. I'm not a great photographer but enjoy some pictures from our evening.
