Well this time…read morewas a little different it is an odd thing that happened and probably doesn't happen all the time if ever but there was only 4 employees which none looked more than 16 or 17 years old and I don't blame them it is the manager problem and should have a lead person that is more experienced working with them. So we were in the film about 15 minutes and there was a thunderstorm that knocked out the electricity and then it came right back on but the fire alarm came on thought out the whole place and first we all waited about 15 minutes before an employee came in he told us to stay seated and they would be starting the film again and get the alarm off, 2 minutes later he came back and said everyone had to go to the lobby and the firemen would be turning off the alarm. So the whole lobby was full and the firemen men came but they had to check each theater room and they worked on turning off alarm. We stayed for 35 minutes but they still could not get the alarm to stop, so we asked for a voucher for another time and received it. You could clearly see that the employees were not trained for this kind of situation.

This location is indeed screening up-to-date films, just don't expect the standard you'll see in larger theatres like AMC or Cinemark. Our auditorium (4) had a blown out speaker and frankly the sound balancing wasn't the best in general. If everything were operating at prime, I'd give this location another star. Other than that, absolutely met my expectations. The popcorn was fresh and buttery and the staff was friendly and informative. I'll have no problem coming here to see a film on a Monday every once in a while, but I'll make the drive if I wanna see something opening weekend.

On the days leading up to and on groundhogs day, they play the movie...you guessed it, Groundhogs Day in their community center. What I didn't guess is that they would have a legit theater. I'm talking two story balcony theater. It reminded me of the muppet show. Super cool and they were selling reasonably priced concessions out front. Popcorn, candy, soda, pretzels. I looked around and they show movies here on the weekend for incredibly reasonable prices year round. Very cool place, wish I had more time to look around!

In LA, we go to a really cushy theatre called the Arclight, but if we had a theatre in LA like The Ritz that I could support, I would gladly give up the Arclight for good. Yes, the picture was a little helterskelter/out of focus on one side. Didn't bother us really. We realized that it was on account of the projection room being in the corner of the theatre rather than directly across the room from the screen. Compared to that drive in, I definitely prefer this one! As much as I love it here, there are pros and cons, and lately the cons outweigh the pros. Some of the things I love about this place are not only the nostalgia, but the incredible menu they have at their concession stand! Some of the menu items include pizza, burgers, pretzels, nachos, ice cream, popcorn, hot dogs, candy, slushees, and so much more! I love the food here, and I never have a problem spending my money to help support a small business, however, we spent over $50 just on food here, and to me that is a bit expensive. My date and I went recently to watch the new Elvis movie and the new Ethan Hawk movie called "The Black Phone". The gates during the summer on Friday's and Saturday's open at 7:15, and since the first movie doesn't start until sundown, we decided to arrive around 8. When we arrived, we spent about 20 minutes waiting in line, which was to be expected. The line for the concession stand was out the door, which was also to be expected. Going to events like these, I tend to be more patient. I know most of the staff is young kids in high school working their summer jobs, so I do tend to be easier on getting angry over things that would upset most people. That being said, I think it would be great if the owners put in a bigger kitchen, because we got in line at 8:20 and as we were opening the door to our truck, after waiting in line for about an hour, we almost missed the beginning of our movie as it was just staring. The kitchen seems to be very inefficient, and a resolution to that problem would definitely be to get another one of those pizza ovens they have. So many people wanted pizza, including me, and they could only do one at a time. The staff got orders mixed up too, other people complained that they waited for over and hour for pizza, and that other customers were getting their pizza orders before people who were waiting a good while. The thing that made the experience very unenjoyable was everyone's lack of respect for the rules. I love coming here, and I have been for quite a few years now, but after last night I'm just not sure I want to anymore. The website for this drive in has a TON of rules, rules that I totally respect. Rules that honestly make a lot of sense to have! It's a shame that I was one of the very few people to follow them. At least a dozen times during the movie, my date and I were blinded by other drivers bright lights. Movies on other screens would end, and many people would leave, and turn their bright high beams on, totally blinding anyone in their path. This distracted me from watching the films I came to watch. There are many mentions on the website about being courteous to other patrons, by not putting on your lights during movies, and to not leave in the middle of the movie. So many people disobeyed this rule. At a certain point it definitely made me angry to keep putting my arm up to block the bright lights. What made me angrier, was that not one staff member even tried enforcing their rules. In fact, the staff made many disturbances too. Many times a group of staff members would ride their golf carts back and forth to the dumpster to dump trash, only to be loud and carrying on and laughing while I'm trying to watch the movie. So disappointed in how this drive in operates. It's definitely becoming less of a place for couples to go watch films together. I guess I'm just let down by the fact that they have so many rules, rules that could end with banning, no refunds, and even police involvement, and yet not one staff member is telling any disrespectful patron to turn their lights off or telling staff to keep it down. I doubt I'm be coming back here for a while if I'm being truthful, all of what happened just really put a damper on the mood with my date last night, and that was very upsetting to me.
