Love this spot!! My husband and I pick up takeout from here what feels like weekly. We love hibachi, and Hibachiman offers fast-casual takeout hibachi that's affordable and the portions are super generous. We both usually stick with the chicken, but I always add on all of the veggies offered too (onions, zucchini, and carrots). They offer steak, shrimp, etc. if you don't want chicken. Their yum yum sauce is fantastic and not too thick and mayo-y like some others can be. I find that's its best to call ahead and place your order, and it's always ready by the time I get to the store. Staff is always friendly and we have never had any issues with the food or service. We used to go to Hibachi Express in Alpharetta when we were younger and in the area, but now that we are in Cumming this is the closest option for hibachi takeout and I find that it's truly the best all around! read more

Gave Hibachiman a try with very high hopes in the beginning. I love fast casual hibachi. While the meat and vegetables are the star, I've been on an almost never-ending quest to find a place that serves the really good hibachi fried rice that you can find at the sit down teppanyaki places. I ordered the hibachi steak and scallops. At ~$15, I knew I would need to have reasonable expectations in terms of portion size. I just hoped the flavors would be there. I especially hoped the fried rice would be good. The flavors were mostly there for the meat and vegetables, but the fried rice was just decent. There's nothing wrong with that. The fact is that ~$15 is how much a "cheap" fast casual meal costs these days. I felt that ~$15 was a fair price for my food. Hibachiman is a fairly rare restaurant. These days, few fast casual places focus exclusively on hibachi. This fact makes it rather sad that the restaurant isn't really that great at it. Hibachiman is the perfect lunch time antidote to save you from the monotony of warmed over pizza, Mexican combination lunches, or some variation of Epicurean sandwich. The owners aren't actually Japanese so don't get in a tizzy, but they are Koreans who seem to know what they're doing. Their portion sizes are quite generous and their prices pretty reasonable. Located in the same plaza as a grocery store, it's a small storefront with a couple of tables set up for those who want to dine in. There was no line so I was helped promptly and quickly. Called in an order for chicken hibachi for lunch and it was ready by the time I arrived. I was pleased that the order came with yum yum sauce & there was self-serve soy & teriyaki sauce I was able to throw on before I left. The portion was pretty good for lunch and I was able to split this into 2 meals (which was great for the price, less than $15). However, I took off a few stars for quality. How is it hibachi and the rice is barely fried? That disappointed me quite a bit -- the chicken could've been kicked a bit more. We eat with our eyes first. read more

Located in a big publix grocery store shopping center with a few other restaurants and shops around so there's plenty of parking. Place is new and clean, it's a quick service hibachi restaurant. Menu is quite simple and to the point. Choice of meat, rice and veggie. You get one container of yum yum sauce and it's quick and affordable for if you are eating lunch. I think portion for dinner could be bigger and they have a regular and large size only. I got shrimp with zuchini. It comes with brown rice (nothing but soy sauce and white rice) and topped with the veggies and protein. I'd definitely recommend the yum yum sauce poured over everything which makes it even more savory and delicious. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and zuchini was good too! We LOVE hibachiman (must sing the name in the "rocket man" tone)! This is one of my favorite go-to spots when I'm looking for some simple and tasty hibachi. I can't stand paying $30+ for to-go hibachi from some of the bigger, fancier hibachi restaurants and with COVID ongoing, I don't want to go sit in to eat. Plus, when I get food from those restaurants, the to-go portions are pathetic and the quality decreases dramatically. With hibachiman I know exactly what I'm getting each and every time. They provide generous portions and allow you to customize the vegetable (I go with the zucchini only and it is amazing!). The food is always fresh and consistent. I order an extra side of yum yum sauce which they do charge for, but is quite large. My only constructive feedback would be to add more rice to orders. They are so generous on the chicken and steak portions that I often need slightly more rice to go with it all. Certainly a must visit if you enjoy express hibachi options! read more

This is one of my go-to lunch spots near work. It's a simple menu, but the food is fantastic. I typically order the hibachi steak with zucchini and onions. It comes with an order of fried rice as well, and a container of the fabulous Yum Yum sauce. They've stayed open for take-out only during COVID, so I typically call in my order and then go pick it up. Food is usually ready in 7-10 minutes. They've got a plastic divider up between the registers and the public for COVID safety, and they've closed down dining in, due to the size of the dining area, but it's definitely worth grabbing your food to go! read more

Hibachiman doesn't look like much when you walk in. There's a handful of tables leading up to a counter where you place your order. Whether it's for here or to go, your food comes in a styrofoam box with a large plastic container of yum yum sauce. Everything is cooked behind the counter, so you don't get the "big show," but let's be honest, do we need to see an onion volcano every time we want some fried rice?? Despite the small and not-so-exciting interior, this place is delicious. All food is cooked to order, so you know it's going to be hot and tasty when you get it. The prices are unbeatable. The steak hibachi is under $10, which I know I haven't been able to get it for that anywhere else! Drinks are not included, but they do offer bottles of soda and water. They also include combinations like steak and chicken for a really good price. I've been here twice now, ordered the steak both times and had a great meal both times! The portion is plenty in my opinion, but I believe they offer a large size in case you're really hungry. It's a quiet place to eat on your lunch break, or a great place to grab takeout for dinner! We tried all proteins (chicken, steak, shrimp & scallops) and to my surprise they were all flavorful and portion sizes exceeded expectations at such a low price point. Being very particular about chicken (I don't like the dark chopped pieces), I usually avoid it at comparable restaurants. However all of the proteins were clean tender cuts.
