Crunch n Fire Tacos and Crunch Burritos
Lynn N.

I can't get enough of their sushi burritos! I was so stoked to hear about a new restaurant on the west side of town, especially a hibachi restaurant! I'm a sucker for hibachi dinners with the open grill and couldn't wait to try it. When they opened I checked out their menu and did see the hibachi items but what has won me over were the sushi burritos and the sushi tacos. I've gotten them for take out a few times now and absolutely adore these dishes! I've had the crunch burrito and the on fire burrito and the unagi lover taco and the crunch and fire taco. They are so good! I love the fusion of flavors! Also the take out orders are ready super quickly (usually a 10 minute pick up time). Of note, the pictures of the tacos on the menu show multiple tacos but the order only comes with one. It's still so worth it because I love that crunch but the picture is a little misleading. I'm still exploring their menu but you should definitely tell everyone about this new restaurant!

Alaska Sushi burrito.

I ordered Alaska sushi burrito. Sgt Pants got California burrito. I LOVED mine first bite to last drop of spicy mayo. My wife didn't like the standard wrap on hers- she will opt to try the optional soy paper wrap next time- but we were both very pleased with portion size- and cool fresh flavors in each order. Was also stuck on a few other choices I have to come back and try. The team was all smiles, happy to be there it seemed, and more importantly- happy to have YOU there. Good stop!

Bulgogi and Fried Rice! would prefer meat be sliced thinner but other than that, I would order again!

I really enjoyed this place! I really enjoyed the burritos, not so much the tacos. But I say try for yourself to decide. I have been here several times and the food is good and fresh.

Love this place! My daughter broke her arm and we were at the hospital all day. When we left we…read morewere all so hungry. It was 8 pm and my daughter found Happy Sushi on line and said let's try it. We were worried about getting there so close to close 8:30, but hoped for the best. They welcomed us in! It was very clean and organized. Not a lot of seating. We got several sushi rolls, noodles and some ramen. It was excellent. The owned stopped by the table to talk to my daughter with the busted arm and made her feel better. We will definitely be making stops here in the future. Thanks so much Happy sushi!!!!!

I really can't overstate how bad this sushi was. I am certainly hoping we make it through the next…read more24 hours without getting sick. There was definitely some "bad" fish (tasted old) in the rolls, which fell completely apart the moment you attempted to pick them up. Ambiance? The large bowl of rice sitting outside the bathroom was a bad look. The server was nice enough, but the best service in the world could not offset the poor quality of the food. I have had better sushi from the grocery store and from Sam's Club. The saddest part? I had been wanting to try "the best sushi in Springfield" for the last two years! For your reference- we had 4 rolls- spicy tuna, Alaska roll (salmon), French kiss (shrimp tempura, crab, salmon), and Caribbean orgazam (soft shell crab, salmon). There was not a good roll in the bunch. Seriously, this is not the place to go for sushi.

I tried this place with a friend. We had reviewed the menu online so we would have an idea of what…read moreto eat when we got there. The in house menu does not match the online menu, but we both enjoyed our sushi rolls. So you walk in and upon approaching you can't miss the beer garden. If it wasn't so windy that day it would have been a perfect dine outside situation. But because of the wind we got a booth inside. In the middle of the floor is bar height tables a chairs, booths along one side of the room. The booths are only on one side because the other side is a beer wall. That's right, I said a beer wall. A wall full of taps. You get a swipe card and it charges your swipe card by the ounce. I don't drink beer but my friend appeared to be really happy with the selection. Because she couldn't pick just one, she made herself a flight. That's right, you can make your own beer flight from the beer wall. So for you beer drinkers I imagine this west side establishment is a hidden gem. I'd definitely come here again, with spouses and adult children in tow. There was fun food, good drinks and some entertainment. And not just karaoke either. We played name that tune. There was a prize at the end but we didn't stay long enough to see the winner. Well, we also didn't play competitively enough to be the winner either. But we had a great time and for a fair price. So, let it be said...I give this place 2thumbs up and definitely give it my seal of approval.

The food and drinks were good, not mouthwatering, but definitely enjoyable. Not to mention this place has a wall of taps that are self-pour! We had a couple of beers, cocktails, and sushi and were pleased with all! The staff was meh. A lot of waiting on our part, but we're overall kind when they did check in on us. I wouldn't write home about this place, but if you're looking for a cool place nearby with good beer and good sushi, then it's your place! Outdoor patio is dog friendly which is a plus.
