The food was incredible, better than most hibachi places we've been to! You can't beat the price either it was 16/adult! Our server Fiona was very attentive and kind, such a great experience I'd recommend to anyone. We will be back. read more

I haven't thrown up since I was 7 years old. It is actively very painful for me to even try throwing up due to some physical abnormality in my esophagus that prevents me from burping. I could not sleep at all the night after eating here. I had diarrhea and episodes of vomiting or coming close to it. To add on top of all of this, I had a predicament come up at the establishment where they had mixed up my friend's glass and my glass after refills. At this time I believed my friend had oral herpes, so I was mortified when I tasted a small hint of his Pepsi in my water and noticed that the glasses had been swapped. This place needs a serious sanitation evaluation. read more

It was pretty good staff is friendly, obviously not the best Chinese in the world but it hits the craving. It's $15 per person on weekdays

Clean and delicious. Many kind of options, and good presentation. I am regretful for not coming here for years. read more

Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet - Japanese Near Me - Athens, Georgia

I am the worst. I just can't say no to a Chinese buffet at lunch time no matter where I am. Hibachi wasn't too busy when I arrived at 12:15 and I was seated at a clean table. My drink order was taken and it was time to dig in. It would have been great if they had disposable gloves on the buffet line but I had planned ahead and brought two of my own. I added protein to my plate - chicken and broccoli, beef and peppers, double cooked pork, pork ribs in red sauce and the like. A few good choices and the buffet line was tidy. Most items were well stocked and refreshed during my time here. My waitress did clear dirty plates and refreshed my water without being asked. Good service. As buffets go, this one was better than most. [Review 18059 overall - 534 in Georgia - 1580 of 2022.] read more

We have eaten in this restaurant many times and always had a good experience both with the many choices of yummy food, and great service. Today was a big disappointment. The service was good, but the food was awful!! It was cold - which brings up food safety concerns? Not only was it cold, most everything we tried was over cooked, chewy, and flavorless. It will be a long time before we go back - if ever! read more

The offerings on the buffet were numerous. Wished all dishes were labeled ( the majority were). Several people at our table ate various chicken dishes & said the meat was tough. The service was slow - had to ask for drink refills. read more

I really love this place. Have eaten here a couple of times and the best time to eat here is Sunday lunch because that is when they are the most busy, have the most food variety, and all the food is running out super fast so everything is very fresh. For Sunday lunch they are 5 stars with a great selection of yummy, fresh classic American Chinese, hibachi, and other foods. I've been for Saturday lunch and their options are more limited (they didn't have my favorites of fried shrimp and coconut chicken) and the food is not amazing like it is on Sunday but still solid. Their eel nigiri is top tier and their rolls are okay but their other nigiri is absolutely awful. Their fried donut and pudding is my go to for dessert and it is very delicious. I have never been there for weekday lunch when I assume they are the least busy but I assume that is when the food is at its worst but even then it's still solid food all you can eat for $15. On the inside the place is always clean and it looks like every other Asian buffet I have ever been to. Service is amazing drinks refilled quickly and plates cleared fast. Service is so good you don't even think about it while you are there read more

I saw the ad about this place on a coupon book . I decided to take wife for mother's Day and my family. The food was real good love it all you can eat. The service as far as filling drinks was great. The servers themselves were the problem. They worried us about the bill continually who going to pay, who going to pay. I told them I was. When I was going to pay she kept worrying my son and trying to take his wallet out of his pocket. They also raised the prices for the holiday and would not except discount or coupons for holiday. I will never go back. read more

Food is very hot and fresh. Hibachi not so great not a lot of selection in terms of meats or vegetables. Waitress very ready and checks up often. Nice decor and clean! Would recommend if you're itching for a good Asian buffet! read more

I'm eating lunch here at the moment, This place is the pinnacle of cheap Chinese all you can eat buffets. Pro: all you can eat sushi Pro: under $10 lunch Pro: wide variety Pro: chocolate fountain (their's even a small screen to stop everyone except for children from contaminating it) Pro: anti-maskers welcomed Pro: if you bring 5 people on your birthday they will let you eat for free. Con: it's debatable whether this food is actually edible or not. Con: not sure what meat I ate but it sure didn't taste like chicken or beef. Overall, I'd come back again. You automatically have my respect if you can finish a meal here. read more

Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet - My fortune after eating at this place. - Japanese Near Me - Athens, Georgia

Although the recent reviews were low scores, I thought I would check it out anyway. I stopped by and looked over the first two rows of the steam tables and a portion of the sushi area and decided to get my wife from our airbnb and bring her back for lunch. The food was good and the service was helpful. (Only the fried fish was not real warm, but still tasty) There were several items I didn't have room in my stomach to try, only because I was full. The goyza and cheese ragoon were both packed with filling and have a good flavor. Not sure what the recent low scores are about. I would like some of our local Albuquerque oriental buffets to offer this variety and quality. Overall, a very good experience for my wife and myself. read more

Good selection must choose wisely lots of fried food. No one in hibachi section. Sushi a bit scary not kept cool. Probably average.

I love the crawfish they have a lot of options and not gonna lie don't eat the pizza this could've been a five stars but the pizza got it down to a four read more

My go-to for Chinese food. Great selection on the buffet and a really good hibachi grill for special orders. I enjoy eating a small amount of each dish so that I can try more items from the numerous dishes. The ambiance is pleasant, not noisy or overly crowded. Also, reasonably priced and courteous staff. Yes, I recommend this restaurant to friends and family. read more

This is some of the worst food I've ever had. Nothing was fresh and tasted days old. The only thing that was good was the egg drop soup. 2 hours later my boyfriend and I were both vomiting. Beware of this place and the quality of the food. read more

It's a huge Chinese buffet with sushi (buffet style) and a hibachi station. It's not spectacular but for the large number of options and price it's definitely worth going. I've eaten here a number of times and it's consistently decent food. read more

This is our favorite Americanized Chinese buffet. They have a big and wide variety. They have a hibachi grill and a sushi bar included with the buffet. Sometimes the service can be spotty. We went yesterday and our drinks were never refilled. She came to our table 2 times and never even asked if we wanted a refill. She did ask when she brought the check! So don't expect great table service but what do you expect from a Chinese buffet. I didn't leave a tip just for this very reason. Overall it's a quick meal and it's really inexpensive. The food is always fresh and very tasty. The teriyaki chicken is my favorite. Stop by if you in Athens read more

Food is horrible. Not a picky eater, but trust the one star reviews on here. Almost threw up afterwards and I don't ever throw up from food unless I'm in a third world country. Don't come here go to McDonald's save ur health. read more

Servers were nice and food TASTED good, but i got food poisoning. All i had to eat was crab rangoon (cheese wontons we're what they listed so any vegetarians grabbing this unknowingly ate crab/imitation crab) and some of the desserts. This is a restaurant that hits the nail on the head: low price, pretty decent food ... and it's located in a college town where kids on a budget appreciate all-you-can-eat. I don't think Hibachi Grill is amazing, but it delivers a bang for the buck. There were plenty of choices including typical Chinese items, and such diverse American dishes as tilapia and roast beef. The sushi bar wouldn't rate in a Japanese restaurant -- but for a Chinese buffet it's fine. The mongolian grill looked really good. (Come to think of it, why did I pass it up?!) Another poster commented about empty chafing dishes. We were there on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was really busy. Other than eggrolls -- I nabbed the last one -- the food kept coming, and no empty spots. read more

What a dump!! Food was below average at best! Beef pork and chicken tasted as if it was cooked last week. Charged $10 for my 3yr old grandson to eat 3 jello cubes. Won't ever eat there again!! read more

The last time I came to this buffet was two years ago. This time, I noticed that the chef had changed, but the food is still just as good, better even. The price is great, and I always get my money's worth, especially since the sushi bar and hibachi grill are part of the buffet. My server, Jenny, was very sweet and attentive, wonderful service. The prices were great and most of the food tasted good. When they run out of one of the foods you just ask them and they'll cook some more. For the price, I think it's a really good place for Chinese American food. They have a wide selection of food. read more

Pretty good buffet for the price! It for sure had more variety than most buffets I have been to and I will be returning! They even had bao that looked like peaches! Super cute and it was good- just not a fan of red bean paste(super sweet) but if you do like it I recommend them! The sushi was decent too, of course you're getting what you pay for and I don't touch raw nigiri/rolls at buffets, but to each their own. Some of the meats lacked flavor but it might just depend on the cook that day, edible but a little extra something wouldn't hurt. UGA students also get a 10% discount! Not much but it is nice! read more

Don't even waste your money here. The seafood was still cold on the buffet and the place was dirty. The bathrooms were filthy (I won't even go into detail here). The moldy air vents on the ceiling were leaking water onto our table. The staff was friendly until it was time to pay. They pulled out a sign and said they could charge us extra for any food left on the plates. Ridiculous! Never had a buffet restaurant ever say this to a customer!! Needless to say I won't ever be returning here. read more

Always passed by this restaurant from going to Kroger. We Decided to go after just going to a buffet in Duluth 2 days go. Food. 2.5/5 There weren't many people there, so food was mostly luke warm as they barely changed it. The selection is pretty good, standard stuff... - selection of seafood muscles, crabs, crawfish, clams. -American Chinese food was pretty good - sushi ,hibachi. Food was just okay, I've had better. Service 4/5 Very nice waitress. I asked for some warmer and fresher food, and they brought it to me. All in all, this place is just okay. If you are looking to stuff yourself at a reasonable price in Athens (22 for 2 people) this is your best bet. I don't think I'll be back; I rather go back to Duluth as there food is a lot better. I recommend golden sun next to walmart on Lexington, there American Chinese food is the shit. read more

I will not eat here again. I usually love cheap Chinese buffets but this one was horrible! Practically all the food was inedible. The sushi was warm, chicken was cold and hard, even the chocolate fountain was bad. $70 for a family of 4? That's ridiculous! read more

The hospitality at this place is great. We came in 30 minutes before they closed and tried to eat quickly, but everyone was nice and didn't seem to mind one bit. The food was good, and there are plenty of good desserts and options. When I was trying to get the last of the lo mein, one of the nice young guys offered to make me some fresh, despite the fact that they were 5 minutes from closing. Although I felt bad and said he didn't have to worry about it, he went ahead and made me some and brought it to me on a plate. It was a very nice thing to do, and it is the reason I will come back to this place. Also, as I said, the food is good! read more

Ok, I'm a Chinese buffet grazer... I'll admit it. This place was clean, but the food selections were sub par and all looked the same. Chicken this, chicken that, beef this, beef that, all with a different sheen of that industrial-grade Glistenium added to them to make them look presentable. A friend came up with this term... "Glistenium - (n) The food additive found in most Asian buffets to make dry, overcooked, or questionable meats look coated in sauce or glaze. Generally tasty, but not good for you" I tried the sushi, which was not really cold enough to seem proper, although it moved off the serving area so fast, I don't think it would have been a problem. There was no Gen Tso's chicken AT ALL on the buffet, so I was disappointed at that alone right there. Their hot/sour soup was decent, not too thick, and not too loaded down with excess filler like cheap mushrooms. The dumplings and dim sum were dried out from being uncovered under a heat lamp and on a steam table that was WAY too hot for them. I won't go back again unless it's the only place in Athens and I'm that desperate for something to fill my gut. read more

All kinds of freshly prepared foods at decent prices: I like sushi, seafood, and salads. Not far from the UGA.

The name on the restaurant is a lie but the food they serve is good. There is no hibachi to be found. It is only a buffet. However, the food they serve is quite good. You can get as many plates as you want for a single price of about $15. There is a sign that says you may be charged for wasting food if you don't eat it but I haven't had that yet. I can't say it's the best but the buffet style and the quality make it worth going back. Please ignore how sketchy it looks outside. read more
