Place was a little sketchy but food was overall pretty good. Service was alright, took around 20 minutes for food to be ready.

Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to what we remembered. Being given plastic utensils while dining in was surprising, especially at this price point. The service and food were just okay, and the "miso soup" was actually plain chicken broth, which was disappointing and unexpected. Overall, it didn't feel like the same experience we used to enjoy. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism, as we'd love to see the quality return to what it once was.

We waited almost 40 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a problem because we had a birthday girl who chose this dinner, no biggie. However, once we were seated at 8-ish our cook didn't get to our table until an hour later. Sure they brought us drinks, salad and miso soup (which was lackluster) so we had to add a bit of soy sauce. Which also wasn't a big deal. However, we all were so tired by the time the food arrived, we ate and didn't even realize our chef didn't even give us a performance. Although the food was good, I literally and genuinely feel like I robbed and held hostage and paid them for $400 for it! I just know for future reference whenever someone suggests Teppanyaki it's a HELL NO for me! Uncle loves you though

She arrived promptly the evening of our event and was readily prepared. She and her assistant were very friendly and efficient while navigating through a property even we weren't familiar with (the rental home). I was impressed with her bubbly and positive attitude. It was quite cold that evening -- in the low 40s -- but she put on an incredible show for us. Highly entertaining with her sense of humor, ability to get our guests involved, and her impressive skills at the Teppanyaki grill. And the food tasted great! Chef Jazzii and her assistant also cleaned up and were very considerate of the property. We'd hire her again!

My guests said it was the best wedding reception they had ever been to, and those that Hudson Teppanyaki shows before said this one blew the others out of the water!! We loved her so much we even had her join us in the group photo. On top of it all, her prices are super reasonable!! I can't recommend Chef Jazzi highly enough!!!!

The food here is just so-so. The biggest disappointment came from my yakisoba dish, because it wasn't yakisoba at all. The pasta they used is a flat noodle that tasted just like the barilla linguine pasta that I buy at the grocery store and cook with tomato sauce. I asked my waiter about this and they confirmed that the restaurant recently changed the recipe and no longer use real yakisoba noodles anymore, and instead use Italian pasta. What a disappointment! I also ordered the wagyu and lobster. The wagyu was cooked to my liking, but lacked any seasoning and there were a few pieces that were just 100% fat which I do not enjoy. This is not what wagyu is known for and not what I paid a premium for. The lobster was also a tiny portion. For a $27 upcharge, I expected more than the three small chunks I received. The salmon skin hand roll was very nice tasting, although it fell apart almost immediately. The ikura sushi tasted old and didn't have that crisp popping texture that this dish is known for. I was debating weather to try his restaurant or return to Sakura in La Cañada Flintridge and I deep regret my decision to eat at Shogun. My bill came out to about $130 and the only thing I really enjoyed was the rice and onion soup. And although I brought up my concerns to the staff, no accommodations were offered. Go try Sakura instead of Shogun! Although gas prices right now are extremely high, it is worth driving 15 minutes from Pasadena to get a much better experience again Sakura in LCF.

Right away, you could tell this place is run with professionalism and care. The owner himself, dressed sharply in a beautiful suit, personally greeted and seated us with such kindness and politeness. We ordered the Edamame, Shiromi (Chilean Sea Bass), Yaki Onigiri with Salmon, grilled corn on the cob, Australian lamb, and the Onigiri -- every single dish was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The sea bass was especially phenomenal, buttery and perfectly cooked. The Yaki Onigiri had an incredible crisp texture with amazing flavor, and the lamb was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Our main server, Ako, was absolutely wonderful. She had such a radiant smile and calming yet upbeat energy that made the whole dining experience feel warm and welcoming. Although multiple staff members helped throughout the evening, everyone worked together seamlessly and attentively. One thing that really stood out was how incredibly hardworking and detail-oriented the entire staff is. Nothing goes unnoticed. Empty plates are cleared immediately, tables are kept spotless at all times, and the service flows so smoothly from one dish to the next. Even with the open kitchen concept, the ventilation is excellent -- you somehow leave without smelling like food, which is impressive. The owner also deserves recognition because he truly leads by example. He wasn't just standing around supervising -- he was constantly walking around, helping staff, serving tables, observing details, and making sure everything ran perfectly. Also worth mentioning: the bathrooms were exceptionally clean, which honestly says a lot about a restaurant. Fantastic food, outstanding service, beautiful energy, and an incredibly well-run restaurant overall. We will definitely be back.
