The hostesses said only the manager knew how to do gift cards despite them running a literal gift card promotion and having a giant sign for it right in the entry way. They said they would ask the manager to come out of the back multiple times, but every time they returned to the hostess stand they just ignored me instead of saying something like, "I let the manager know you're waiting." So literally no clue if they even told the manager or not but I got tired of standing in the crowded entrance. Had the worst Benihana experience ever here. Our reservation was for 8:15. We probably got seated at around 8:35 or 8:40. After getting seated, maybe 10 minutes later our server comes up to show the specialty wagyu meats they're trying to upsell. It's so loud in there, he's wasting breath and time because we can't even hear him. Comes back another 10 minutes later to take our drink orders only(we could have ordered...), comes back with drinks 10 minutes later. Then has to go get straws. We finally get our orders taken at 9:08. We didn't get a chef cooking at our table until 9:40. Then my friend was served steak that was clearly rare(she asked for med rare). She couldn't even eat it. The onion soup I normally love from Benihana was flavorless here. Everything was lacking and underwhelming. This was an insanely expensive meal to be such a huge disappointment and massive waste of time. We weren't leaving the restaurant until around 10:30. I have a like-hate relationship with Benihana. I'm usually forced here for family celebration dinners like birthday for my young nephews, kicking and screaming but once I'm there, the food is of course decadent and worth the diet splurge because it IS tasty (thanks to the troves of butter they put into every dish). But what becomes increasingly more tiresome is how bad the host stand operates, and in turn the wait. This last visit a few weekends ago, we were shocked, all 3 hosts were away from the stand for a good 10+ minutes, then meandered back looking out-of-it and completely unapologetic. A young blond girl was leading the pack (the other 2 were guys). I always like to give staff the benefit of the doubt if they're maybe swamped, but all 3 at once? We joked they probably were out back smoking together given they returned at such a glacial pace with no sense of urgency. I don't recall the last time a Benihana reservation is ever seated on time or food not service at least an hour after you've been seated, so make your reservation time accordingly, but know that they check you in only after your entire party arrives. From there, expect more waiting. Our dinner was a bit out of whack- we couldn't believe how long we had to wait for our chef (with kids in tow this wait becomes even more unbearable) and they completely forgot our onion soup until I asked. Also as expected the entire establishment is dingy/unkempt and bathroom, etc. is what you expect: sticky, messy. But, shout out to our server Johannes who was at least trying hard, and he was nice to us, and did get us our sake bottles in a timely fashion (and was kind enough to offer an ice bucket unprompted) as we tried to take some of the edge off for the adults. read more

We were seated it was nine of us and we got a waiter named Joseph Joseph was simply amazing he catered to all of us he was very optative and kept coming back and checking on us which we loved. Came here for my birthday dinner and it was everything I hoped for! I'd been wanting to do a hibachi-style dinner for a while, and my girlfriend and friend helped organize the evening -- they absolutely nailed it. We had a party of seven, and the energy at the table was amazing. This is a fun restaurant experience for a family and will appeal to multiple generations. We go as a special occasion spot - for our kiddos birthday dinner or if family is visiting from out of town. However, the food itself isn't particularly notable. Especially considering the price, the food is okay. The most tasty dish was the chicken fried rice. Unfortunately, as you can see in the photo, the amount of chicken compared to the rice was awful. I think each person got like a teaspoon of chicken. We also enjoyed the soup and salad. I have dined in at this Benihana a couple of times now. Overall the experience is great depending on the chef you get and the food is always delicious. Although their rhythm and timing is super choppy when it comes to customer service. I checked in at exactly my reservation time and didn't get sat until 40 minutes later, which normally wouldn't be an issue if it didn't take another 20 minutes to get a glass of water! Once the chef finally got to is it had been an hour and a half since I had gotten there. The food was cooked perfectly, but I had asked the chef for extra spice for my rice on the side and he said he would tell the server but I never ended up receiving anything. Yummy - raspberry lemonade - ponzu & chili yellowtail: not my favorite, very little yellowtail for the price of being $18 - chicken fried rice: had a nice aroma from the butter they use, good flavors overall - surf side: scallop, calamari, and colossal shrimp. shrimp was a bit overcooked - Benihana special: steak was tender, although asked for medium rare but got medium. lobster was also yummy with a nice smokey flavor but a bit overcooked Everything was cooked well! I especially recommend the chicken fried rice and the Benihana special that came with lobster and the Benihana steak, which was tender. Only thing is they forgot about the white rice with our entree and had to remind them towards the end when everything was served.. The bill came out to be very close to $200, so it is most certainly on the high end side. This price definitely includes the experience of the chefs entertaining you! Food: made the mistake of ordering several simple dishes through DoorDash... Significant mistake on my part... ordered a side dish of steak, fried rice, and some pot stickers. The steak contained more fat and gristle than I care to explain. The meat came in a cold container, so freshly made was completely out of the question. The rice was cold to the touch, and the pot stickers were room temperture. The idea that I purchased " fresh food" is truly out of the question. And it was my birthday so we ordered the fillet and shrimp and a bunch of drinks and spent a lot of money. You will see in the picture that the sautéed mushrooms were equivalent to one mushroom each. Then it came time for the people at the table to receive their birthday ice cream. Now, even though we are not children, we still want the ice cream and we want to enjoy the whole damn thing. We took a bathroom break and came back to the table. We need to find it three big guys who only had one birthday in their party were all three enjoying ice cream sundaes. The chef or server made a mistake and gave those three guys the ice cream. I feel ridiculous even writing this because it sounds like I'm a child and I'm being childish but it's just a thing. We had food not cooked as ordered, missing items, late items and not once did anyone bring refills for us without asking and even that took awhile. We later realized we never received the mandatory "wagyu presentation" that the table next to us received. Although asked 3 separate times were we celebrating anything it wasn't until we started voicing our frustrations did we get a lackluster attempt along with every ceramic drink cup to "compensate" for them dropping the ball. When I said no thank you to the song and the cups Jocelyn rolled her eyes and turned away like I was the problem. Buddha was not going to save them! Jorge refused to come from the back to even apologize. He hid in his office and made Lorenzo do his dirty work. He came out once and threw some business cards for corporate at our table and ran back to the back the minute we started to voice our frustrations. Again never apologizing!! We have been to this location on several occasions over the years and NEVER have I experienced anything like this! I will never step foot into this location again especially if Jorge is the manager.
