It's easy to order through their touchscreen menu, and they've got plenty of bowl and plate options. The food was fine, but the customer service, awful. I ordered and waited over 25 minutes. When I finally asked the girl behind the counter, she said it'd be ready in 5 minutes. Then I asked one of the guys behind the counter, and he checked, turns out my food had been ready and just sitting there the whole time. If I'm using your fancy touchscreen system, maybe try paying attention when food actually comes out instead of just vibing to the music.

I am pleased! Chicken plate with fried rice and veggies.

Would give ten stars if I could. Hibachi Papi is so flavorful and filling and I have most of my family and friends loving it which is why my godson requested them to cater his college graduation party. The large quantity of food did not mess with the quality. We ordered the steak and chicken trays along with fried rice and garlic noodles. One of the major stars of the show was the vegetable trays. Ordered two trays and not a veggie was left! So at least people were eating vegetables which is always good. We practically ordered all the sauces to suit everyone's taste. When I picked up the food, the owner was there to make sure everyone went smoothly and they brought everything to my car and packed it up with care. After the party ended, my godson and his friends went to some other parties and then came back to get left overs!

I ordered the filet bowl with fried rice and veggies, and rare steak bites. hands down exactly what I needed in a hibachi bowl. The service was quick and friendly, I'll definitely be returning. I highly recommend their Diablo spicy sauce, it was bomb.

Ithis is my first time coming inside to buy Hibatchi Papi. Usually someone picks it up for me so i never got to witness the cooks cooking or the plates being made. The environment is chill with upbeat music. Its loud in here but thats to be expected with the grill going and utensils stirring the food around. Music is up to date with these young ones so it makes it an inviting environment for these youngsters/college crowd. The patio is very nice with the neon red lights and barstools in the waiting area so you have somewhere to sit while waiting for orde if your food is to go. They could update the soda pop machine its a little outdated. They sell Hibachi Papi merch.. everything is pretty clean but they do not have a public restroom which was bad for us being with a toddler that is recently potty trained. They also have self serve order so you can make your order and wait without talking to any employees. Which is beneficial if you know what you want and dont need assistance and your paying with card. Tonight they are closing for 2 hours due to a private event they put a paper sign on entrance door and have been turning customers away. The last customer that came in they did end up helping and making his order which was actually nice of them considering they have turned others away. Over all I would def. recommend this place to others. I enjoy the food and the price is very affordable.

So this little ass bowl is supposed to be a chicken plate lol I'll never come back here

I went here to get a chicken plate. They gave me mostly rice and vegetables with a little bit of chicken plus when I normally get a plate is twice the size of this this is more like a chicken bowl.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I had to give a shoutout to Bryan at the front counter. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with a genuine smile and made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. It's rare to come across someone who's not just doing their job but actually enjoying it--and it shows. He answered my questions, made solid recommendations, and just brought a good energy to the place. The food was great (seriously, the hibachi never misses), but Bryan's customer service made it memorable. He's the kind of person that makes you want to come back--not just for the food, but for the way you're treated. If you stop by, hopefully you get to be checked out by Bryan. He's awesome.

Food was delicious. Good amount of protein and carbs. Love that they cook to order so although that means there will be a wait, the food is hot and yum! Place your order, find a seat in the outdoor seating area, and they will bring your food to you. Bowl portions are big enough to make to 2 separate meals. Definitely recommend!

Worth the drive. I live 30 minutes away but I still find myself driving here or ordering delivery at least once a week. Great vibe.. consistent food quality.. large portions.. you literally can't ask for more!

It was my first time having hibachi in a while, so I didn't know what to expect. It was better than my expectations! The portion sizes were HUGE and it was made pretty quickly as well. For me, it was a bit salty but I don't think that's a huge issue. The place is located in Westwood Village, so if you're near UCLA and want something that's open late at night, this would be the perfect spot. There was some seating outdoors as well. Overall, it was pretty good! (I do not recommend using the bathroom here though, haha)

Kinda pricey, food takes like 25 min to come out. The chicken and shrimp is tasty but the noodles are just alright. Ambience is alright

Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to what we remembered. Being given plastic utensils while dining in was surprising, especially at this price point. The service and food were just okay, and the "miso soup" was actually plain chicken broth, which was disappointing and unexpected. Overall, it didn't feel like the same experience we used to enjoy. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism, as we'd love to see the quality return to what it once was.

We waited almost 40 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a problem because we had a birthday girl who chose this dinner, no biggie. However, once we were seated at 8-ish our cook didn't get to our table until an hour later. Sure they brought us drinks, salad and miso soup (which was lackluster) so we had to add a bit of soy sauce. Which also wasn't a big deal. However, we all were so tired by the time the food arrived, we ate and didn't even realize our chef didn't even give us a performance. Although the food was good, I literally and genuinely feel like I robbed and held hostage and paid them for $400 for it! I just know for future reference whenever someone suggests Teppanyaki it's a HELL NO for me! Uncle loves you though

Highly entertaining with her sense of humor, ability to get our guests involved, and her impressive skills at the Teppanyaki grill. And the food tasted great! The food here is just so-so. The biggest disappointment came from my yakisoba dish, because it wasn't yakisoba at all. The pasta they used is a flat noodle that tasted just like the barilla linguine pasta that I buy at the grocery store and cook with tomato sauce. I asked my waiter about this and they confirmed that the restaurant recently changed the recipe and no longer use real yakisoba noodles anymore, and instead use Italian pasta. What a disappointment! I also ordered the wagyu and lobster. The wagyu was cooked to my liking, but lacked any seasoning and there were a few pieces that were just 100% fat which I do not enjoy. This is not what wagyu is known for and not what I paid a premium for. The lobster was also a tiny portion. For a $27 upcharge, I expected more than the three small chunks I received. The salmon skin hand roll was very nice tasting, although it fell apart almost immediately. The ikura sushi tasted old and didn't have that crisp popping texture that this dish is known for. I was debating weather to try his restaurant or return to Sakura in La Cañada Flintridge and I deep regret my decision to eat at Shogun. My bill came out to about $130 and the only thing I really enjoyed was the rice and onion soup. And although I brought up my concerns to the staff, no accommodations were offered. Go try Sakura instead of Shogun! Although gas prices right now are extremely high, it is worth driving 15 minutes from Pasadena to get a much better experience again Sakura in LCF.
