We immediately notified the dealership of our rescission of sale and demanded a full refund. Despite assurances from the dealership, no refund has been issued. I even traveled back to Miami to meet with the dealership staff who assured me I would hear back from their attorney. This was another in a growing list of commitments not kept by this dealership. We have since filed complaints with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Florida Attorney General, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and the Federal Trade Commission. DHSMV has now opened a formal investigation. When I later informed them I could not proceed with the purchase, they refused to return my money and then claimed they have a "non-refundable deposit policy," which was never disclosed to me beforehand. There was no signed contract, no buyer's order, and the sale was never completed or finalized. Due to this situation, I am now pursuing recovery of my funds through formal complaints with the Florida Attorney General's Office and the Department of Transportation, as well as exploring legal action.
