Great space for a group hangout. Large industrial space with ping pong tables, Cornhole, pinball, and games to borrow. Large selection of beer on draft, as well as cocktails and mocktails. They don't serve food, but you can order food from one of the restaurants next door.

Classic Hi-Wire is never a disappointment! Easy parking, plenty of indoor and outdoor space, lots of drafts to choose from, and always very friendly service. Highly recommend!

Went here on an early Friday early afternoon and it was not busy at all. The bartender was very knowledgeable and helpful...the menu on the bar was detailed and gave a lot of information as well. I got the Pumpkin Spice Stout (actually, I had two!) and they were delicious! I thought $8 was a little pricey for a 10 oz pour but it was a lunch date with my husband and it was very tasty. He had a fruity IPA that he enjoyed as well. It was a gorgeous fall day so we were able to sit outside for an hour or so and enjoy each other's company. There were only a few other people there but I can imagine that this place gets packed. We checked this place out for the Bull City Beer Challenge and I'm so glad that we did! Ps. Everything including the restroom was extremely clean and the murals were very well done

This brewery is exactly our vibe! It's located in a big warehouse that they open the rollup doors and let in the fresh air, has a ton of seating, games, great merch, a pizza place next door that will deliver to your table, AND delicious beer!! We are in town visiting family and I can see why they love to come to this brewery. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and we all loved the beer that we tried. We ordered a pizza from Cugino Forno next door and they brought it right to our table. Since they have such a big location they have a ton of games and space. We sat close to the pingpong tables and there was always someone playing a game and having fun. If we lived in this area we would be at this brewery all the time. Thanks Hi-Wire for a great experience!

We were staying the night in the area and wanted to grab something to eat before we headed to the hotel for the night. We did a quick search and saw there was a Hi-Wire brewing in the area, which happens to brew my current favorite IPA. We also saw that Cugino Forno was next door and would deliver to the tables in the brewery, a win-win. Hi-Wire Brewing and Cugino Forno are next door to each other inside one of buildings formerly used by the Golden Belt Manufacturing Company. These buildings have a lot of history for the area. In the late 1800's, the Golden Belt Manufacturing Co. originated in a portion of the Bull Durham Tobacco Factory as an operation to produce the cloth bags in which the tobacco was sold. Now this area is a fully renovated Golden Belt Campus. We arrived at about 4:30 pm on a rainy Friday afternoon in April. Sitting outside wasn't an option and while it was already busy we were able to find a place to sit. We did notice several large tables were reserved. There are also quite a few activities, such as ping pong, bocce ball and cornhole. This is a great idea for small to large groups of people gathering to enjoy good beer. I went up to the counter to order a Double High-Pitch IPA and the servers were friendly and helpful. When I returned to the table we talked about how we didn't realize that Hi-Wire had locations outside of Asheville but we were wrong. Their website shows they are not only outside of Asheville, they are outside of North Carolina as well. We looked at their swag and really liked a few of their shirt options but the material was just too thin for my tastes, I like a heavier cotton shirt. We did purchase a 12-pack of beer and enjoyed our time at Hi-Wire.

We saw this promo and decided to check out Hi-Wire.

We are new to the area and learned about some holiday events happening at Hi-Wire so we popped in to their Durham location. It was our first visit and we fell in love with this spacious beer den and it's wonderful vibe. I already knew about their great brews, as I have visited their Asheville location, but this location surprised me in a great way. They have a spacious, but not in an overwhelming way, brew hall with lots of seating, table tennis and other games. There are also TVs for those that wish to keep up on Sunday Football and the Soccer games. Next door they have Cugino Forno for those that would like some yummy brick oven pizza delivered to their table. Hi-Wire Durham is dog friendly and people friendly. I loved seeing parents with little ones, others on date, and friends and families having a laugh and cold one or two. I also some some pretty heated matches of table tennis. It's all very inviting. The folks behind the bar really take care of you, are super friendly, and the IPA that I ordered was perfect for my taste. Hi-Wire in Durham is certainly going to be added to one of our Faves.

Food was supplied by neighboring businesses. Ice cream and pizza nearby. Service was great as my son-in-law was able to get his craft beers quickly. Selection was huge and will provide plenty of options for the seasoned beer drinker. Inside was cool and had bench/picnic table seating. There was bocce ball and ping pong as well as giant pool tables. Although there was alcohol being served, it was a chill vibe. It's also dog friendly as there was a couple that let me get my fix of their cool doggy. Would definitely go again.

Hi-Wire Brewing is a craft brewery in an old industrial building. The brewery and the nearby businesses give the former factory a fresh atmosphere. You can order pizza at Cugino Forno and bring it over. Afterwards you can cross the lawn to Two Roosters for ice cream. I enjoy coming here on cool evenings at sundown. You get great pictures of the old buildings against the orange sky. There are sixteen-plus taps at Hi-Wire. Find the beer that suits your taste. The staff is ready to recommend popular brews if you can't decide. There's no table service at Hi-Wire. Order your drinks at the bar. They pour for you and give you the glass. Please bus your table when you're done. Hi-Wire is dog-friendly. Want your dog to have a good time too? You can bring your pet!

Awesome beer as always. Love the spot in Asheville but this is a tad closer to home. Fun games such as human pool, ping ping, bocce (strangely have to be 18+ to play), table shuffleboard. Very dog friendly and you can have pizza delivered next door. Fun for the whole family.

Not really a stellar experience here. The beers have strange names and the taste was really lacking from what I had. I don't recall going to a Hi-Wire before and I think there is one in Asheville but this places beer didn't impress me.

I've visited Hi-Wire a few times with a large group of friends. This is one of the nicer breweries I've been to. It's has a lot of seating to accommodate both large and small groups, very dog friendly, and has both outdoor and indoor seating with AC if you're looking to escape the heat. I like the variety of drinks they offer. From wine, IPAs, ciders, etc. they're bound to have something that will interest you. I've had the mountain water and pink lemonade. Both were very light beers that I enjoyed! I do wish they had more food options in the area. They have a decent pizza shop that's separate from the brewery. You can order at the pizza shop and they'll bring you your pizza to the brewery which is nice. Although if you're looking for more options aside from pizza, there really isn't much. Overall, this is a great brewery and I will definitely be back! I'd recommend it to anyone looking to host a large group.

Great spot good beer especially on a rainy day. Had a great time playing ping-pong and drinking beer out of the rain.

So wrong. This place is the absolute worst. It's so unfortunate because the place is beautiful and has potential. I've learned my lesson and there will not be a third time. We attempted to sit at a table for 8 but the chairs are oversized and the tables are far too close together. We had to remove two chairs to even attempt to slide across the chairs because you cannot pull them out to sit down. It's extremely difficult and uncomfortable to have to slide all the way out to let people in and out. Not user friendly at all. I wanted to order a beer but just like last time they didn't have any beer I'd ever drink which is saying a lot as I will drink anything that's not an IPA or super yellow. So I ordered the Rosè margarita but the male bartender told me they were out of that drink. Impossible. I could see both rosè and tequila from where I was standing. A female bartender overheard the male bartender lying to me and she said she would make the margarita for me. Hmmmmmmmm. So one honest bartender and one who lies because he only wants to pour beers. Thanks for solidifying that I was right to say I'd never be back to this awful establishment.

I was hoping I would not be disappointed. Downtown Durham on Parrish Street I do believe. I went there midday and there was a sparse lunch crowd already seated when I arrived. The warmly lit space presents nice aesthetic as you walk into the restaurant. A very chill and comfortable atmosphere. I love the bar and the mirrored wall nestled behind it. The spot is pretty laidback and very clean, but has a bit of a rustic nuance to it as well. I like that. The serving staff were extremely nice and helpful towards advising me in making my selection -- with me being a first-timer and all. I kept it simple...I chose the Classic Burger (pink) with pepper jack cheese, bacon marmalade, and as a side, I had to go with the Dirty Fries -- 'cause that's how I roll y'all. About the food: I have to say, the burger was staunchly built and crafted with artistry. Nice and tall with a seriously tasty bun encapsulating everything. Perfectly well-seasoned meat and the first bite was simply delightful. I noticed as I got towards the center of the meat, it was bit less juicy than the surrounding parts of the burger, but nevertheless still tasty. My Dirty Fries were delicious In the end; the experience as a whole was quite delightful and I would definitely like to go there again -- perhaps try a different burger to expand upon my experience with this place. Gotta try out That Bar y'all! I do recommend it for those who haven't had a chance to go by there to check it out.

Even before me an my party entered we could hear music playing from the building, which kept the vibes up! Moving onto the food, a certain menu item caught my eye. Something that I'm legally obligated to keep quiet about... but let tell you- this burger was Gooood. This "Signature Secret Burger" was rather unique, as it was like you took a pretty simple egg burger, and just ramped it up. My initial thought when I first tried it was that it was a burger squared, the mystery ingredients amplified the flavor to make such a savory meal. It wasn't to overbearing like many other burger places that I've visited, not immediately making me feel fat and full after taking a few bites. Our party also ordered a whole quart of fries, and they were SO GOOD!!! I'm a sucker for good fries, and you knocked this out of the park! Your fry soft was nice and mellow and complimented the fries perfectly. (And even afterwards, the fries warmed up really well and were still Really freakin' good!) Finally, during my visit, their anniversary event (Happy 15th By The Way ) and they were offering FREE DESSERT for someone who happened to sit in a randomly chosen seat. And by the luck of the gods my little brother found his way onto the seat! It was just really awesome to see a restaurant doing such awesome things for their birthday, y'don't see that every day! Overall, this place is definitely a place to stop by if you're in Durham. If you're in the area visit IMMEDIATELY if you love good fun food!
