Flight of awesomeness. Very good housemade stouts.

Very cool little nano brewery in Durham. Stopped in after a softball game because I needed a beer, and this place was a great decision. The beer menu is well curated, the House BEERS were outstanding for a small brewery, and the service was great. The kid working at the bar was very helpful, only to me, but to everyone that came in. His recommendations were spot on, and he couldn't have been nicer. I highly recommend this place.

    Beautiful imperial stout!

I get a bit annoyed when I go to a brewery and 80 percent of their beers are IPAs. I drink dark beer and sometimes there isn't a single one on the menu. Flying Bull has several to pick from! And the best part? The stouts are imperial! They also have many other lighter beers, but if you're a stout or porter fan like I am, you have to check this place out!

Our orders: flight (stout, brown ale, lager and something else don't recall, might be a sour) and cider (not pictured). Possibly the best craft brews we had in our quick NC getaway. Truly impressed as someone who rarely likes beers. The brewery offers their own products on tap and other locally made drafts. Favorite of the night was the stout - smooth like good coffee, no bitter aftertaste. The brown ale was great too, with nutty notes. Did not feel heavy or bloated after! Small rustic interior, has outdoor seating in both front and back (biergarten with heating lamps and string lights). Street and off street parking both easily accessible.

Came here with friends who were visiting NC for first time. My son and his friends ordered food and loved it. They especially loved the fries cooked in duck fat. I tried it and it was delicious. I ordered a "Durhamer Brown Ale"...notes of chocolate bread and dried fruit. My buddy ordered the "Cuvee #1", with notes of oaky spice and dark fruits with dry tannic finish. We were pleased but not floored by our choices. Neat place though, dog friendly and staff were very friendly.

Friendly staff and a great selection of beers.

Excellent beer and friendly staff. The beer garden is a perfect place to hang out and enjoy a beer - or host an event. I have hosted a few events here and have been pleased every time. Weekly karaoke and live music too.

Back patio is a great place to hang out with friends.

Such a cool brewery to hang out with friends. It's the best beer on 9th street and the owners are great! I love that this place is dog friendly!

Flying Bull Beer Co is small but cute. You can sit inside, outside in the front or head to the back to the beer garden. There is a mix of their beer on tap with other local NC options, they will eventually be replacing some with more of their own beers. We tried the beers that they brewed, an IPA and pale ale for me and the saison for my husband. All of them were really good. Cheers!

Super friendly atmosphere and great beers! Came solo and enjoyed a fine brew during the holidays. Was greeted by a friendly bartender and a flowing keg! Seems like a good place to meet people! Definitely would recommend!

Lovely brewery with nice atmosphere and vibes. Went here and got the 23 which was a cider and it was amazing. The drink here are really good and some are specially made by the owner. They also have live bands from time to time

Great spot on Ninth St in Durham, NC. Their beer is very good and they have other local brewers beers. The building is quaint with a "beer garden"- nice cozy courtyard in the back. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer cans and Crowlers.

    Ollie loved it too!

Nice little watering hole on 9th Street, pouring their own beers and some guest taps, too.

I've been to the Raleigh location as well, check out the review if you want to know more. Panysaurus over all is a cool place (either location) but they have drastically different vibes - which in my book is a good thing. The Durham location brings you an awesome patio scene! The bar itself is a bit small but their indoor/outdoor approach makes it seem huge. The patio is two floors, both covered, one just off the bar and the other right about that which has a few TVs for those interested. Off of the patio is a nice size "beer garden" sitting area complete with picnic tables and a great view. If you are looking for chill family friendly patio vibes this is the place to be! I really love Ponysaurus beer, their pilsner is nice but their kolsch is my favorite. If you've been to the Raleigh location, the Durham menus is not the same. Yes they have pizza but it doesn't seem to have the same options - still good though. We went with a hankering for the hummus we got at the Raleigh location, again the Durham location had hummus but a different variation. One thing that's consistent with both locations is the amount of pita that came with the hummus, there is nothing worse than getting a huge bowl of hummus and only a few pieces of hummus or chips. Both locations knocked it out of the park. Plenty of WARM pita for everyone. This location is somewhat self-service, the bartender obviously poured out beer and there is a cute window for picking up snacks but no table service.

I was hoping I would not be disappointed. Downtown Durham on Parrish Street I do believe. I went there midday and there was a sparse lunch crowd already seated when I arrived. The warmly lit space presents nice aesthetic as you walk into the restaurant. A very chill and comfortable atmosphere. I love the bar and the mirrored wall nestled behind it. The spot is pretty laidback and very clean, but has a bit of a rustic nuance to it as well. I like that. The serving staff were extremely nice and helpful towards advising me in making my selection -- with me being a first-timer and all. I kept it simple...I chose the Classic Burger (pink) with pepper jack cheese, bacon marmalade, and as a side, I had to go with the Dirty Fries -- 'cause that's how I roll y'all. About the food: I have to say, the burger was staunchly built and crafted with artistry. Nice and tall with a seriously tasty bun encapsulating everything. Perfectly well-seasoned meat and the first bite was simply delightful. I noticed as I got towards the center of the meat, it was bit less juicy than the surrounding parts of the burger, but nevertheless still tasty. My Dirty Fries were delicious In the end; the experience as a whole was quite delightful and I would definitely like to go there again -- perhaps try a different burger to expand upon my experience with this place. Gotta try out That Bar y'all! I do recommend it for those who haven't had a chance to go by there to check it out.

Even before me an my party entered we could hear music playing from the building, which kept the vibes up! Moving onto the food, a certain menu item caught my eye. Something that I'm legally obligated to keep quiet about... but let tell you- this burger was Gooood. This "Signature Secret Burger" was rather unique, as it was like you took a pretty simple egg burger, and just ramped it up. My initial thought when I first tried it was that it was a burger squared, the mystery ingredients amplified the flavor to make such a savory meal. It wasn't to overbearing like many other burger places that I've visited, not immediately making me feel fat and full after taking a few bites. Our party also ordered a whole quart of fries, and they were SO GOOD!!! I'm a sucker for good fries, and you knocked this out of the park! Your fry soft was nice and mellow and complimented the fries perfectly. (And even afterwards, the fries warmed up really well and were still Really freakin' good!) Finally, during my visit, their anniversary event (Happy 15th By The Way ) and they were offering FREE DESSERT for someone who happened to sit in a randomly chosen seat. And by the luck of the gods my little brother found his way onto the seat! It was just really awesome to see a restaurant doing such awesome things for their birthday, y'don't see that every day! Overall, this place is definitely a place to stop by if you're in Durham. If you're in the area visit IMMEDIATELY if you love good fun food!
