The 2nd anniversary brought out both young & old. 1st time here and only 30 minutes from N.Raleigh. What a great family friendly place. Not sure it is this busy all the time or just because it's their anniversary but this is a wonderful spot in Hillsborough. Big open green area for kids to run around and picnic tables set up. The tables in the sun could use some umbrellas with the heat but they do have seating on the covered porch. Staff is super friendly and overall vibe is relaxed.

    Enjoying a flight!

We were in town visiting family and headed over to Eno River Brewing on a Saturday afternoon and I immediately loved it!! It's located on the banks of the Eno River and has a giant beautiful lawn behind it, a spacious covered porch, and inside seating with plenty of room to enjoy your beer. For my drink choice I decided to order a flight to get to try a few different styles of beer. My favorites were the Time Back Helles-Style Lager and the Hydrologic Tropical Wheat Ale. Both so delicious! The ladies working the bar were so nice and friendly and it was such a welcoming environment. Such good vibes. They had great music going too, I could have hung out there all day!! If we lived in the area this would 100% be the brewery that we would be at the most!!

Very open and clean space!! I was stunned, because the outside is very early 20th century cotton mill!!Went to this venue for the FlushFest, an annual town festival where they raise money for septic systems for third world countries. (Clean drinking water and good septic systems will positively impact both infant mortality and general health and longevity immediately. Great charities to support!) There were a few food trucks, and several bands scattered about the area. The main room is deceiving - it's inside an old textile mill, but indoors is all modern - smooth plastered walls, stainless steel bar and brewing tanks visible from the public area. They have 6-8 very different styles on tap. We each got a different style and were all happy with our selections. Even with the crowded atmosphere, the staff were able to keep drinks flowing and everyone happy. I would like to make a return trip on a non-event day to see what it's like then.

Cool spot! Lots of outdoor space but good to bring some chairs or a blanket just in case you can't get a spot at their tables! They do allow kids and there's plenty of space for them to run around if they need to get some energy out. Seemed like they had a decent amount of IPAs. I ended up getting the brown ale which was good.

I would recommend each of these beers from my flight!

I found myself in Hillsborough and decided to treat myself to a new to me brewery yesterday. It was nice to see a food truck in their parking lot when I pulled in, but I was really looking forward to having a sampling of their beers. I sat down at the bar and began to build my beer flight options. The staff were pleasant and engaging. It was a nice space, and feel silly admitting that I didn't even step outside to scope out the seating, there appeared to be a decent amount of tables and chairs out there. I really enjoyed all four of the beers I ordered, but my favorite was called the worst kept secret and can't wait to return for a pint or two in the future! Keep up the good work, I will be back'

Flights are appreciated when a brewery is new!

I've been to the Raleigh location as well, check out the review if you want to know more. Panysaurus over all is a cool place (either location) but they have drastically different vibes - which in my book is a good thing. The Durham location brings you an awesome patio scene! The bar itself is a bit small but their indoor/outdoor approach makes it seem huge. The patio is two floors, both covered, one just off the bar and the other right about that which has a few TVs for those interested. Off of the patio is a nice size "beer garden" sitting area complete with picnic tables and a great view. If you are looking for chill family friendly patio vibes this is the place to be! I really love Ponysaurus beer, their pilsner is nice but their kolsch is my favorite. If you've been to the Raleigh location, the Durham menus is not the same. Yes they have pizza but it doesn't seem to have the same options - still good though. We went with a hankering for the hummus we got at the Raleigh location, again the Durham location had hummus but a different variation. One thing that's consistent with both locations is the amount of pita that came with the hummus, there is nothing worse than getting a huge bowl of hummus and only a few pieces of hummus or chips. Both locations knocked it out of the park. Plenty of WARM pita for everyone. This location is somewhat self-service, the bartender obviously poured out beer and there is a cute window for picking up snacks but no table service.

Already being on Franklin Street, I knew that wouldn't be a problem, and I decided to just pop into this Carolina Brewery location (I think their main one) because it was convenient. The inside is a beautiful mix of wood and metals with different levels, an interesting bar configuration and plenty of TVs. I took a seat at the bar and received excellent service, and enjoyed conversation about sports, beer, and food with a couple of other gentlemen sitting close by. The only snafu of the meal was the tea got dumped (close to closing) after I got my first glass but before I got a refill. They replaced it with another drink of course, but that was good tea! I ordered the shrimp and grits with tempered expectation, but will summarily say they were exceeded. This was a really nice sized portion of thick creamy grits, a total of 8 VERY plump shrimp, enough salty bacon and onion to balance it out. Each bite was well balanced, and while it can't compare to anything I've had out in the low country by the coast, it was better than I hope for this spot and time. If I had to suggest an improvement, it could use an element with a subtle sweetness, like roasted or blistered sweet corn shaved off the cob. I also would like the sauce more pronounced, or even a red-eye gravy. I wouldn't call it dry, but it could have benefited. That would take it onto another level. Anyhow, I enjoyed the meal and friendly conversation. I would certainly return next time I'm in Chapel Hill.

The service was solid--nice young lady from UNC who was very attentive and friendly. The food was meh. The burrito bowl was super salty and blah. The pork sandwich was soggy. I was hoping I would not be disappointed. Downtown Durham on Parrish Street I do believe. I went there midday and there was a sparse lunch crowd already seated when I arrived. The warmly lit space presents nice aesthetic as you walk into the restaurant. A very chill and comfortable atmosphere. I love the bar and the mirrored wall nestled behind it. The spot is pretty laidback and very clean, but has a bit of a rustic nuance to it as well. I like that. The serving staff were extremely nice and helpful towards advising me in making my selection -- with me being a first-timer and all. I kept it simple...I chose the Classic Burger (pink) with pepper jack cheese, bacon marmalade, and as a side, I had to go with the Dirty Fries -- 'cause that's how I roll y'all. About the food: I have to say, the burger was staunchly built and crafted with artistry. Nice and tall with a seriously tasty bun encapsulating everything. Perfectly well-seasoned meat and the first bite was simply delightful. I noticed as I got towards the center of the meat, it was bit less juicy than the surrounding parts of the burger, but nevertheless still tasty. My Dirty Fries were delicious In the end; the experience as a whole was quite delightful and I would definitely like to go there again -- perhaps try a different burger to expand upon my experience with this place. Gotta try out That Bar y'all! I do recommend it for those who haven't had a chance to go by there to check it out.

Even before me an my party entered we could hear music playing from the building, which kept the vibes up! Moving onto the food, a certain menu item caught my eye. Something that I'm legally obligated to keep quiet about... but let tell you- this burger was Gooood. This "Signature Secret Burger" was rather unique, as it was like you took a pretty simple egg burger, and just ramped it up. My initial thought when I first tried it was that it was a burger squared, the mystery ingredients amplified the flavor to make such a savory meal. It wasn't to overbearing like many other burger places that I've visited, not immediately making me feel fat and full after taking a few bites. Our party also ordered a whole quart of fries, and they were SO GOOD!!! I'm a sucker for good fries, and you knocked this out of the park! Your fry soft was nice and mellow and complimented the fries perfectly. (And even afterwards, the fries warmed up really well and were still Really freakin' good!) Finally, during my visit, their anniversary event (Happy 15th By The Way ) and they were offering FREE DESSERT for someone who happened to sit in a randomly chosen seat. And by the luck of the gods my little brother found his way onto the seat! It was just really awesome to see a restaurant doing such awesome things for their birthday, y'don't see that every day! Overall, this place is definitely a place to stop by if you're in Durham. If you're in the area visit IMMEDIATELY if you love good fun food!
