R1. Tonkotsu Ramen
Alexandra E.

Randomly stopped here before a movie. The food was fast, fresh, hot and tasty and filling. We tried a ramen and a poke bowl and both were delicious and well priced for the amount of food we received. The service was great, the staff was very friendly, and the interior was clean and well designed. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Haven't heard about this place before. I was with my family on the Target close to HiPoke, and I came across this restaurant when I opened Maps. Staff was friendly and very patient (and also helpful!!). The store was very cute and clean! And the food? No words! Absolutely delicious, and with a lot of options to choose from! Will come back again to try the hot plates

I had never tried poke!! But had heard so much about it .. always wanting to try this place(as I passed by so many times) finally when I did try it I fell in love with poke the first time I had it here.. they also have a punch card that gives you 1 free after For every 10 that you punch in !! It's been around 3 months since I had my first bowl and I've already punched in 7 times !! The girl who takes the order also is very sweet !! Such a good experience highly recommend this place and the food here I always make my own bowl and try different sauces

This was my first ever experience eating poke, and I really enjoyed it! The decor of Hi Poke is so cute. It's ocean themed, with a bunch of little fish stuck on the blue walls and anchors and lighthouses painted all over, which is adorable. Even though it was really cute inside, I opted to eat at one of their outside tables on the sidewalk because the weather was so lovely today. Parking is plentiful since it's in the Park Place shopping center. I ordered the tofu poke bowl, and all the ingredients were super tasty. I have to give a shout out to the sweet chili sauce because that's what really tied it all together. The portion size was perfect; I left full but not so stuffed as to feel lethargic. Pricing was also reasonable. Overall, a great spot for a casual lunch or early dinner!

I've had some other poke bowls around the Triangle and I really wanted to love Hi Poke. This bowl just didn't do it for me though. The tofu was cold with no flavor; I don't think it was marinated in anything. I really love tofu, but it always needs a little something and it's better hot. The sweet chili sauce was kind of strange in the bowl too. The rest of the ingredients were so fresh and delicious though. I feel like I should go back and try a signature tuna or salmon dish to have a fair representation of Hi Poke.

Got a chicken poke burrito with pineapple mango and avocado and tonkotsu ramen with a Doordash giftcard. It was all so very good. The sauce flavor in the burrito was amazing!

Super awesome! Well done!

I've been to multiple poke places in the triangle and this has to be the best one yet. The prices are perfect and poke is fresh. The portions are also huge and fulfilling. I've been here 2-3 times and the ingredients are always consistent, this is a plus for poke. I prefer creating my bowl over going with the special poke bowls. I like my poke in a certain way so this is always the best option for me. I usually go with the spicy tuna as my protein. The customer service is fantastic here as well. I love their positive energy. The lines can get long during lunch so I recommend coming here before 12:00 p.m. There are plenty of seats. I am a fan of the natural sunlight as well! They also offer free flavored water, which is a plus. Poke on point!

Very tasty Poke bowl. They do not serve kimchi or Pàocà. They said said they would consider adding it to the menu. Very clean. Bright lighting, with soft music.

I love good poke, and Hi Poke did not disappoint! The salmon and tuna was super fresh, and I liked their choice of toppings! I will be back to try the sushi burrito!

Build your own poke bowl. Delicious and generous portions!

Of the Poke Bowl places in the area, this one is my favorite, hands down. The portion size is very generous when ordering a build-your-own bowl, the quality of the fish is pretty good, which makes the bang-for-your-buck very much worth it. I've been here twice now, and have tried the salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, and octopus. I enjoyed all of them, and I think my favorite are the salmon and octopus. The poke sauce is tasty but not overpowering, and they have pretty good toppings, including tamago and pickled daikon. My go-to build-you-own bowl would be salmon, tuna, and octopus with poke sauce, cucumbers, edamame, masago, pickled daikon, seaweed salad, tamago, and furikake. You can mix and match whatever else appeals to you, but word of advice: simple is better. If you put too much stuff that in that don't go well together, it ends up tasting not-so-great. I like that they let you do half-rice and half-salad as well. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and informative. If you're not sure about the sauces, they will give you a sample. I also tried the mango fruit tea, and enjoyed the flavor and jellies they add. I will probably ask for a little less sweet next time, but it was great. The space is clean and well-kept. It's a small space, but I've never had an issue finding seating - it seems like a decent number of people take their meals to go. Great poke spot in the area - I'll definitely be back for more!

Impressive. Hi Poke is a good choice in a neighborhood replete with food options. One of my Yelp friends calls Poke "lazy sushi". I hadn't thought of it that way, but he's not wrong. It's okay though, because it's still good. If it meets that standard, call it whatever you want. With a choice of pre-made bowls or a pick your own, Hi Poke, despite being opened so recently, has the process down. The food was fresh, the people friendly and seem genuinely interested in making sure all customers enjoy the food. I agree with Nancy T, in that the size is smaller than similar places, but it's deceptive. There's still a lot of food in one of these bowls. The food is fresh and the pieces are bite-sized. On my first visit, I ordered two proteins instead of three but without a reduction in the rice. That might have contributed to the disparity in the rice/protein mix of what I had, but with the mix-ins, it still ended up being plenty. I'll come by again because there are many more choices and I think I'm creating a mission for myself to try it all.

We stopped by for lunch. I do love the poke and this place did not disappoint. All the fresh ingredients we poke lovers have come to expect. The workers were super friendly and helpful. If you haven't tried poke this is a great place to start. My only complaint would be that the price is a few dollars higher than I would expect for the size bowl we received. If you like HOT then try their sirracha sauce. My mouth was burning for quite a while after eating it. It was great !! They have quite an assortment of sauces. We will probably be back. It's a small little place with plenty of room to eat in.

Highly recommend the Evil Noodles; zippy, spicy sauce, grill charred mushrooms and veggies and the super wide, pillowy rice noodles. I'm not a noodle expert, but they tasted/felt hand pulled; forgot to ask! I'd like to go back at least 20 times to try everything on the menu. For cocktails, we had the Silk Road and the Nightshade's Revival Barrel Aged cocktail. All the food felt fresh and was very flavorful. I used to dislike mango when I was young - I've since grown to be ok with it in my adulthood - but the Mango Tuna Crisp roll exceeded my expectations. The passion fruit definitely provided a nice contrast to the sweet mango that made it really delicious. Also, the spicy duck sauce with the spring rolls was a 10/10! That's the way I always want my duck sauce from now on. Unfortunately, I can't give it 5 stars because the wait time for service and the check during our meal was very long. We came in when it wasn't busy and it became moderately busy while we were there, but it still was a long time between the times they checked in on our table.

We did a Kahuna poke bowl and a Large pick your own with 3 proteins. For about $17 each it's a pretty good amount of food. My husband liked his Kahuna poke bowl, he did not enjoy the seaweed salad or the onions. He said it was too overpowering but he enjoyed everything else on it. I got shrimp, tuna and salmon with sushi rice, cucumber, corn, carrots, edamame, seaweed salad, tempura crunch, furifake, eel sauce and spicy mayo. I did not add any sauce (I didn't know what to expect!) but got the Hawaiian sauce on the side. Hawaiin sauce taste like spicy soy sauce. It's good but I'm glad I got it on the side for my bowl it would just clash. Husband ate most of the sauce since his already came with it haha. This bowl lasted my husband one serving and I was able to have 2 out of mine. I have absolutely no complaints about my bowl I thought it was delicious. Pick up time was fast, the restaurant was clean, and the girl at the front was very nice. There is plenty of parking around the area. There was no wait time. Would definitely come back and get some more things. the boba teas caught my eye but I had an hour drive home and didn't want to have them watered down by the time we got home. No great pictures but they were very cute, colorful and delicious. Would definitely recommend and come again. 10/10!

Grabbed lunch from here recently and enjoyed myself!…read more The staff were polite and helpful throughout the meal. My wife and I ended up splitting the kimchi pancake as an appetizer, and we both got the beef bibimbap for our entrees. We didn't end up getting any interesting beverages this time, but there were a few draft and bottled beers available as well as soju, sake, and other variations of alcohol :) Anyway, our kimchi pancake arrived pretty quickly, and it was very tasty! I liked how the green onion was integrated throughout, and the dipping sauce was very flavorful. It looked like it may be a bit spicy but in fact was sweet-ish :) Our bibimbaps arrived soon after, served in hot stone bowls. In addition, they provided six different small side dishes, all of which were very tasty! I really enjoyed the variety, as they ranged from pasta salad to kimchi. Honestly, the bibimbap was maybe my least favorite part of the meal, which surprised me. It wasn't bad at all, with plenty of tasty veggies included, but it didn't blow me away. Maybe I should have added more of the bottled sauce they provided :) Overall, we both really enjoyed our lunch at Okja and would definitely come back!

I associate Korean cuisine with pure comfort, and Okja certainly delivered that! The banchan (side…read moredishes) were plentiful and tasty. We also got the: - Seafood Pancake (crispy flour pancake with squid, shrimp, crab meat & scallions): Definitely my favorite dish- perfectly crispy and simultaneously fluffy, lots of well-cooked seafood. - Tang Soo Yook (battered deep fried pork, drizzled in sweet & sour sauce): I've never had this dish before, but I will admit I imagined it a bit different. It was more batter forward so the pork did get lost, but the batter itself was super chewy and almost tapioca-like, which was interesting. I liked the sauce, but I wish it came separately for dipping as the pork did lose its crunch. - Bi-Naeng (cold buckwheat noodles with pickled daikon, cucumber, pear, hard boiled egg, beef & spicy sauce): So refreshing! Loved the chew of the noodles and how complementary the spicy sauce was with the sweet pickled toppings. The beef was on the tough side with not a ton of flavor though. Ambiance is really nice and spacious, there are two sides: one with the bar and booths, another with wooden benches. Service was surprisingly fast. Lots of parking. 8/10 would recommend!
