I've long felt that restaurants should sell Happy Meals marketed to adults, in colorful cardboard boxes like a real Happy Meal, but with beer instead of weirdly spicy Sprite. You can imagine my utter delight, then, when I was presented with an opportunity to purchase such a meal, as part of a promotion Hi-Pointe is running with 4 Hands, a local running group and a number of other local restaurants. The way it works is, you visit 10 of these restaurants in the span of about a month, purchase a menu item created in collaboration with 4 Hands, run for at least one mile and then post about it on social media. If you visit all 10, you get a case of City Wide, a t-shirt and a few other things that probably don't add up to the cost of the 10 menu items. I wasn't sure if I was going to bother, in part because it began while I was training for a marathon and I couldn't afford to be eating all of those sandwiches, ice cream and what have you, let alone the beer. Plus, who has that kind of money? But I was there, to meet up with another group I run with, so I figured I'd go ahead. If I changed my mind at a later date, I'd have to come back. I work nearby, but I'm not trying to visit the cursed District if I don't have to. With all due respect. Hi-Pointe's #CITYWIDE10 promotion had been running for two days at this point, but apparently no one had ordered it. A guy in the back who looked like a homeless version of Gilfoyle from Silicon Valley had to open a sleeve of the cardboard boxes. I would have refused to accept the meal, if it didn't come in the box, even if it still counted towards the contest, as a matter of principle. The Burg Box, as they're calling it, comes with a burger, fries, a 12 oz can of City Wide and a beer koozie--which I guess functions as the toy in this equation. Certainly, it could be used as a toy, if you're especially special-needs. A dog would have a field day with it. I could have used a 16 oz can of City Wide, but I couldn't complain too much, since it was pretty much free. I only paid $14.99 for the whole thing. They don't even let you eat the free peanuts at Five Guys for $15. Also, the bigger can might not fit in the box, and it was important that all the other patrons, including several girls, saw me carrying my meal to the al fresco dining section like a little suitcase. I hadn't had a burger from Hi-Pointe since the one on McCausland opened, back in the '70s. Now I'm wondering what I was thinking. Well, aside from not having any money. It might have been worth becoming one of those guys who stands around in Walmart and asks you who your cell phone provider is. The meat is seasoned to the point where even the most unemployed X f/k/a Twitter users would approve. The patented "smash burger" process produces a crust on its exterior like a classy well-done steak. It's a large enough piece of meat (no Diddy) that it both hangs over the side of the bun and isn't reduced to the consistency of shoe leather as a result of being flattened into the griddle. The fries are those seasoned fries you might get at a Rally's or somewhere. Which I guess you have to do if you're starting a restaurant, since there's no way you can go head-to-head with McDonald's and emerge victorious. Have you ever tried eating the fries at an In-N-Out? I've been here several times. They always seem to be quite busy and the wait can get long standing in line. I highly recommend using their app. It makes things so much easier. On this visit, I ordered a taco burger subbing with an Impossible patty and I used the hi- deal that includes a side and a drink. I chose their delicious fries and a fountain drink. Unfortunately, when I ordered the taco burger, the cashier did not explain to me that when you sub it with an impossible patty, the fun stuff like the Doritos and Fritos don't come on it because it's actually mixed in with the beef. So that was a bit disappointing for me. The kitchen staff was very empathetic to my disappointment. My friend ordered the "Frycuterie board." What a delicious ensemble to share with the table. It includes their seasoned waffle, fries, tater tots, regular fries, and sweet potato tots, which are incredible. There are various dipping sauces that came with it. One thing that's nice about this location is the choice of eating indoors and grabbing a drink at the bar next-door or sitting outside in the courtyard with great people watching and/or entertainment on the stage or sports on the big screen. read more

First night in St. Louis and after a big Chicago Bears win on Black Friday we were hungry. We decided to go to a place that we cannot get in Chicago or Dallas. This franchise is mainly located in Missouri with a couple in Illinois but none near Chicago. Hi Pointe is a Drive In type restaurant but this location is in an outdoor mall. You are able to create your own smash burger. I got the Impossible burger and fries. They also serve sandwiches: Turkey Club, Chopped Cheese, Chicken and Grilled Cheese Tacos. Salads and of course shakes. The impossible burger was tasty and it was a good size to fill you up. I got cheese, onions and tomatoes on it. If you don't like onions, tell them easy onions. I love onions, so I was good. The fries were good and had the right amount of salt, not too crisp but the right amount. I do wish they had given more. The place was clean and tables were cleaned immediately. There is a walk up bar as well! The place was busy and it was cold outside. I could imagine that this place would be packed in summer, especially with the fact that they serve shakes and ice cream. I was in St.Louis to attend a family celebration for my wife's aunt who recently passed. My niece's husband and I went for some beer at 4 Hands at the District. Fortunately for us, they had a Hi-Pointe Drive-In in one half of the venue. We were both hungry, so we went ahead and had lunch while we enjoyed our beers. I ordered the Frisco Melt. It has two huge hamburger patties, Swiss and American cheeses, and a special sauce on grilled sourdough. They had several other sauces, and I tried them all with my fries. It was a great patty melt. My friends and I visited Hi Pointe a few weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon since we were in the area and already had plans to visit Narwhal's. We were lucky that when we arrived, there was not much of a line, so we got to order pretty quickly. I ordered the turkey burger and a side of fries. After paying, they took down my number and told me they would text when the order was ready. We wandered over to Narwhal's and sat at a table to order our drinks while waiting for the food. Once we sat down, we realized that they also have a QR code to order from Hi Point within Narwhal's, so technically, we could have just ordered from Narwhal's (now we know)! When our food was ready, we all got a text around the same time, so 2 of us went over to pick up the food while the others stayed at the table for the drinks to be delivered. Picking up the food was easy to do and they have a tool chest (weird) with drawers filled with sauces (ketchup, bbq, etc.) for us to add to our bags before walking back over to our friends. My order was fresh and the turkey burger was really so delicious and juicy. They also gave a ton of fries so technically, we could have ordered 2 and shared with the table for us to enjoy. Everyone at the table really enjoyed their food and we were all stuffed from the amount of food they gave us. Their burgers really are delicious. Hi-pointe isn't far from Chesterfield Outlet Mall, where there isn't anything to eat. Driving down to the Outlet Mall, I noticed this place along the highway, and mentioned "The District" to my husband as a place to check out. When we arrived, we saw that it was mostly restaurants, which was good because we were hungry. So, we ate here last Thursday while in the Chesterfield area, and liked the vibe. We ordered the Frisco melt and sweet potato tots. I wish we had split an order of tots because one order should have been small, but the order can easily be shared between two people. I enjoyed Hi Pointe! Located conveniently in the same space as 4 Hands Brewery, Hi Pointe made it super easy to pair delightful cocktails with greasy cheeseburgers. And yes, some times I just want a greasy cheeseburger. Hi Pointe is counter service so the lines move fairly fast. I first ordered the cheeseburger and then I doubled down on the mac and cheese. I can't recommend the mac and cheese as it had been sitting in a warming cabinet and tasted like Stouffer's when left sitting for more than an hour becoming more pasty than gooey cheesiness. But that burger made up for it by a long shot. I quickly forgot the pasty clump of noodles and focused on the glistening bun. Every bite was delightful meaty savoriness perfectly cooked, oozing cheese. Great price, great burger. And fast too! I don't think I waited more than ten minutes! They gave me a number board to place on my table, I grabbed a cocktail, sat down and shortly after delicious burger was present. It was great! read more

(Lots of seating inside and out!) we took a number as they bring your order when it's ready, I. The mean time we mosied on over to 4 Hands for a drink while we waited. So we both ordered the cowboy burger and fries...WOW! What a great burger! Lots of fried onions, bacon, bbq sauce, yummmm! All cooked to perfection! And the fries were great too! Came for beers on a weekday evening and the place was packed! Hi Pointe is in the same indoor location with 4 hands brewery and there's also an arcade area. There's a traditional menu of burgers sandwiches and snack foods and also specials posted on a board. I LOVE the frycuterie idea! Definitely a must have to share with a table. We ordered a double burger, the frycuterie board, and a salad. Once you order at the counter you receive a number and they bring the food to your table which is a really nice convenience when you're hanging with friends & watching the games. I arrived at the time on my receipt and it wasn't clear right away where to pick it up so I asked the girl and the register who pointed me to a small counter in the middle. I waited a long time and was told it was coming up soon. The staff looked pretty busy but the girl handing out orders wasn't very friendly. When mine was finally ready she just pushed it at me. It's exciting to see this local chain expanding and the location at The District connected to 4 Hands Brewery really works great! The space is open and makes for a great way to support both businesses together. I went to have Wine, yes at the Brewery, and when I entered the space, the awesome smell of Fries compelled me to get food. Considering how busy they were, I was pleased with the wait time. It does help to order about 15 min before you actually wanna eat. Grilled Chicken Sandwich add Pepperjack, Bacon and Avocado along with the Monsta-Rella Sticks and Fries with Cheese Sauce on the Side. All the food was hot and fresh. We recently ordered Hi Pointe through Door Dash on a whim. In the past, we've visited in person, service and ambiance at the brick and mortar were both great, we just hadn't been back in quite awhile. Since we ordered delivery I wasn't expecting greatness but I was pleasantly surprised at how well all the food traveled. I ordered an Impossible burger due to an allergy, I was shocked at how well they made the "burger" seem so authentic. The fries and my husbands burger were also fantastic. Portions we're very generous and everything was fresh. Since this experience we've ordered again and I was impressed to see the second time around everything was equally as great as that first time. I wanted to love this place, I really did. Chesterfield has been long over due for a venue like The District. I was so excited to finally give it a try. The venue itself is a pretty cool concept. There were lots of families that had just came from little league soccer, baseball and softball games at the nearby sports fields. There is plenty of seating and entertainment for kids and adults alike. They have large TV's set up everywhere so you can watch sports and grab a beer next door at 4 Hands Brewing Company. Unfortunately I was rather disappointed with the food and service we received from Hi Pointe. We were the first ones in line and after we placed our order, they told us they would text us when it was ready. After 45 minutes we had not received a text and neither did anyone else that was with us. My husband went to check on our food. Evidently it had been ready for over 30 minutes. My husband said I thought we would receive a text when it was ready and they told him they must have entered our phone number wrong. They also entered the phone number of the two other parties that were with us. Needless to say, our food was cold when we finally received it. I will chalk this up as being a fairly new business and not prepared for the crowds. Hopefully it will be a much better experience next time. read more

We had a number to place on our table. I don't know how they even found us! The food was nice and hot. The burgers are smash style. They were good, but a little too charred for my taste. Once more restaurants open there, it shouldn't take nearly as long to order and get food. They did a good job considering how many people were wanting food. The staff wasn't the most pleasant. Was excited to check this place out just before the Goose show on 6/4. Showed up and it was packed with plenty of people and live music; they were ill-prepared for the number of people. They had 6 or so incredibly long beer lines that were moving very slow. We had originally planned to have a couple of beers and dinner, but had to call an audible due to the speed and settled for just 1 beer. Skipped it before the show the 2nd night because we didn't feel like waiting in line for 30 minutes before a show we'd be standing at. We came on Sunday to celebrate my brother's birthday. We ordered beers and then hopped in line for Hi Pointe. 4 Hands and Hi Pointe are in the same building, so it makes it super easy to order and is very convenient. There was a bit of a line, to be expected because it was gorgeous out and people wanted to enjoy their day! The line moved fairly quickly, and the staff member behind the register was super kind and helpful. I had a hard time picking what to eat because so many options sounded delicious. I was hungry but not massively so, or else I would have gotten the mozzarella sticks! They're massive and mozzarella sticks are my go to unhealthy snack :) definitely ordering next time. I got a single burger with pepper Jack cheese and pickles (my go to) and a side of fries for my dad and I to split. I didn't order a drink since I had my beer, but they have Excel soda which I love (and it's local!). We paid and gave the staff member our phone number, she said they'd text when the food was ready. We grabbed utensils, ketchup, mustard, and napkins from the service stand and made our way back outside. Our food took around 15 minutes to prep, then I received the text. Picking up our food was a little chaotic, it was crowded around the small space they allow for patrons to get food, so maybe having some more space would be helpful! My burger was delicious per usual, they have solid quality pickles which is always a game changer in my book. The patty was cooked perfectly and it was a solid meal. This is a new joint venture between Hi Pointe and 4 Hands Brewing out in Chesterfield in the District. In theory it is a really neat concept. You have one shared open area building where you in one line to grab food and another for beers. There is a decent amount of seating inside, and then a bunch of tables outside. Some of my issues with this location are more tied to The District itself more than Hi Pointe. I liked the outdoor area. There were tons of families running around and there was a large screen TV and a band playing on the state. My wife was going to a show at the Factory with her sister, so the kids and I came out to eat with her and then she was going to Uber home. Unfortunately it seemed like everyone else had the same idea. It was just jammed packed with people. We had ~30 minute line to order burgers and then had to split up to go get drinks. While in theory the joint venture is a good idea, having to split up and stand in two long lines while corralling children just sucked. Once we got the food we then struggled to find seating. Our kids were whining and out of sorts because it was taking so long to get the food, and the shared space ended up being very loud. So while parts of the experience were very family friendly others really clashed with that experience. The food was fine, probably a notch below their other store. It isn't good enough that I'd be thrilled to go here again in the future. I do think some of the issues will get better as the District evolves and expands. Once there are more options for food I think each individual location won't be so slammed. Right now though I'd recommend checking out this location only on off nights when there isn't a show at the Factory. read more

Located at The District. You stand in line to order, get a number, then they deliver your food to you. During high traffic times the line can become pretty long, although moves fairly quickly. Make sure you have your number visible, they couldn't see ours and had a delay in getting out food. Also they will not automatically give you LTOP with your burgers so make sure you request it if you want it! read more
