Brad told me that when we decided on the roof, the company would come out and take down the solar panels and then replace them once the roof was completed and it would be free of charge. He said they do that as a one time courtesy and that any subsequent roofs we would have to pay. I remember chuckling at that because who replaces their roof every few years? We signed the contract and had the solar panels installed with Everything Solar. The solar panels did not pass inspection by the city and Everything Solar had to come out and put more screws down to secure everything and on the second inspection, it passed. The solar panels worked as expected for the past 9 years. Several months ago, we noticed some water damage on the ceiling of our upstairs bedrooms. We got several roofing companies to come out and assess the problem. The consensus was that it was finally time to replace our 17 year old roof. It lasted longer than I projected back in 2013 so I'm not upset about that. What I am upset about is that the water damage on our ceiling, the roofers and our insurance company concluded was caused by the solar panels coming loose and water getting in through the holes that no longer had screws securing them. The solar panels were not all secured to the trusses as they should have been in the first place. Today we called Everything Solar to talk to them about the one time courtesy removal that Brad promised (apparently just to make the sale) back in 2013. We were fortunate enough to actually get Brad himself on the phone. He claimed that they offer no such thing and he had no idea who would have promised that to us originally. It was you, Brad. You promised that and it was the reason we decided to sign with your company instead of one of the others we received estimates from. We weren't even complaining about the holes in our roof from improper installation, we were only asking for the removal and reinstallation before and after the roof replacement. The way a company treats it's customers after the sale is far more important than the pie-in-the-sky promises they make before the sale. I'm sorry I gave them my business and now that we are looking for additional solar panels once our roof is completed, Everything Solar will not be a consideration. Buyers beware.

The manager said he would give me a call to explain but has not and seemed to be frustrated that I question their $175 service fee for the first 30 mins and $90 for every 30 mins after.... $180 / an hour ? For what is in the contract. I wish I would have lie eyed to the reviews before I decided to go with these jokers. Run ... run fast and don't look back. The fact they have anything above a 1 rating is probably bc they must have had someone respectable at some point working for them.

Requested they give a call ahead notice on install day, and sure nuff, when a 1/2 hour out, the call came. The crew of two was very friendly, professional and hard working removing my old solar panels and piping and the new install on a new roof elevation. Hey - Yelp tip; Feel lucky if you get Zachary and his "twin bro" Jake. (so they say --LOL) . This pair is awesome. Very respectful of my property and truly flawless workmanship. All demo materials were removed without any OOPSies or oh, ohs! All old anchor installation holes along with the new locations were caulked without a need for a single complaint. They made it very clear they wanted my CRITICAL opinion, of which I simply could not accommodate. I wanted to, but they gave me nothing to go on! The new 4 panel system has been running 3 hours and is already making a HUGE difference in the pool temp. Now have a thermostat to keep the temp. where we need it too finally! Price was fair and actually worth it as they came at 9am and left at 1:30 or so. COMPLETED! CHEERS!

I am highly recommending Bob Heinmiller for solar panels. Four of those big companies that come…read moredoor-to-door quoted me twice as much as Bob Heinmiller for the exact same brand and model of panels and micro inverters that I got from Bob Heinmiller. That was a $20,000 difference in my case. With the big companies, they would write up a deal to save $10 to $20 a month on your electric bill but why take that deal when you can save hundreds a month? After doing extensive research I discovered that the 4 big companies that gave me quotes just sub-contract everything out and I realized I could cut those middlemen out by going with a local installer to get a far better price. I checked out several local installers. I was looking for one that would be a one stop shop for any kind of maintenance on my solar system including roof issues causes by installation. I wanted to be able to call one company and get anything fixed over the next 25 years with no out-of-pocket cost. Most local installers provided this. I did research how long the local companies have been in the solar business also. Several companies, even the bigger companies, come and go quickly. I didn't want to hire a company that had only been in business a few years. Bob Heinmiller has been in business a very long time, over 15 years and they don't subcontract anything. Reviews I've read for Bob Heinmiller almost all had high praise. The only negatives I could find were written by people that weren't happy with how long it took the electric company to set up net metering or financing problems which is beyond the control of any installer. I even spoke with a few of their customers personally and they all had very high opinions with Bob Heinmiller Solar. I would highly encourage anyone looking into installing solar panels to call Mike Lane at Bob Heinmiller Solar. I bought a new array to generate enough electricity to offset almost the entire electric company bills annually and I also got solar panels to heat my pool. Both are working great. I am very happy with the education, the quick response, and price I got from Mike Lane and his team. They did a good job cleaning up after the installation and the whole thing only took them 6 hours in 1 day. My payback for this system is only around 5.7 years at which point I'll will have generated enough electricity to have fully paid for my panels after my 30% tax break. My payoff will be less than 5.7 years if the electric rates go up. If you are looking to get solar or upgrade what you have you should be giving Bob Heinmiller a call. You won't be sorry.
